Wow wow wow….what an intense 90 chapters!! I have been waiting for the chapters to stack for me to read and now I’m back to waiting.
What a love about the novel is the reality in how the complex relationships between nobles and commoners are depicted.
Viktor is man who is not a saint and doesn’t pretend to be. Truly, I want to smack him and loathe him on several occasions, yet at the same time you know there is a human side to him. Of course he needs therapy from clear abandonment issues.
Eve is soft and truly excellent in her craft. She is so well written that you feel her struggle with her emotions. She doesn’t have your typical victimised female lead. Dare I say it she might the best female lead I read in a while. She accepts her gentleness while also keeping her values and pushes when she needs to.
This is not a fluffy romantic story, it is an intense rollercoaster and even when you know what is coming you truly will find surprises. And if you are like me you will enjoy it even if you want to throw your phone at the wall when reading. 😅😅😅
