Human Observation Journal
When In-woo opened his eyes, Ezel was by his side. In-woo screamed in surprise. Ezel frowned as if annoyed.
“Don’t be surprised. You asked for me.”
“W-w-what are you talking about?”
“Well……”
Ezel, looking very excited, was about to say something but frowned and closed their mouth. While Ezel remained silent, In-woo tried to recall his memories.
He was definitely moping around in the spaceship room, wasn’t he?
For some reason, the place where he was lying now was Kim In-woo’s room.
As soon as he realized where he was, In-woo jumped up in even greater shock. He couldn’t understand how this situation came to be. Where did Radel go, and why was Ezel here with him…
Seeing In-woo gripped with fear, Ezel clicked their tongue.
“This is ridiculous. Are you only afraid of me?”
“……”
“There’s probably no one in this universe who’s killed more people than Radel. Radel is the most cruel person in this universe. When angry, he’s the type who would even half-blow up his lover’s head.”
“That’s nonsense……”
“You don’t know anything. You can say that because you don’t know. You act all cocky with Radel but you’re afraid of me? Because you don’t know anything……”
In-woo gritted his teeth and looked around. Of course he’d be more afraid of someone who could harm him right now. While In-woo searched for a weapon, Ezel continued talking nonchalantly.
“Do you actually believe Radel’s act of playing the pitiful one? He might suddenly turn around and blow your head off at any moment. Do you know how many people Radel has killed while supposedly away on business trips? Huh?”
“……”
“Radel is defective. He stepped down from the position of Sovereign because he’s broken. He’s a bomb that could do anything. Aren’t you scared of that?”
“……”
“Do you think he’s picky about who he targets? I wonder what happened to your father.”
No matter how trashy his father was, bringing up such a sensitive topic made his anger surge. In-woo punched Ezel in the face as they were leaning in close while talking.
Ezel’s eyes filled with shock and anger. And then, Ezel’s face quickly contorted with rage.
For a moment, In-woo prepared himself for death. However, the response he got was just Ezel rubbing their cheek with an angry face.
“Such an adorable hamster……”
“…What?”
Are they making fun of me? In-woo stared at Ezel in disbelief. Ezel pulled at their hair with an irritated expression.
“Now this is all because you’re like a canary-, Radel you bastard, are you crazy?”
“You’re really weird……”
Is it because Arkea’s royalty aren’t allowed to curse that they make such unfunny insults? But judging by Ezel’s reaction of turning red up to their ears, that didn’t seem to be the case. In-woo mocked Ezel who was feeling embarrassed.
Anyway, In-woo relaxed, confident that the current Ezel couldn’t harm him.
Seeing how Ezel, who was supposed to be a proud royal, remained still despite such humiliation, it seemed they had indeed been properly brainwashed as Radel had mentioned before.
It was rather strange. When you think of brainwashing, you’d imagine someone mechanically following others’ orders. But at first glance, the current Ezel didn’t seem brainwashed at all.
“So, why are you here?”
“What do you mean why? You asked for me.”
“I did?”
“Yes. You said you wanted to mate with me.”
“W-what nonsense are you talking about!?”
In-woo jumped back to the edge of the bed in shock. Seeing In-woo eye them warily as if they were a r*pist, Ezel pulled at their hair again.
“I’m telling you, I didn’t suggest it, you did.”
“Why would I ever do something like that?”
“Then why did you ask for me?”
He never asked for anything like that, what are they talking about? In-woo left the room, leaving behind Ezel who kept spouting incomprehensible things.
“……”
Though this was definitely the place he had lived in for years, the house felt strangely empty.
The memories with Lee Sun-ho that had been hanging everywhere were completely gone. When he opened Sun-ho’s room just in case, it was completely empty. As if no one had ever lived there.
“……”
As In-woo stared blankly at the empty room in dismay, Ezel approached and sneered.
“Were you hoping Radel would be inside? How foolish.”
“……”
“If you miss him, just call him. He’s such a persistent bastard. You don’t even know a fraction of his true nature.”
“Shut up.”
His head was already throbbing, and Ezel’s words were getting on his nerves even more.
He couldn’t remember at all what had happened between rolling around in the room and returning to this house. He didn’t want to think about it either. Somehow, he had a vague certainty that it was something he absolutely shouldn’t recall.
In-woo unconsciously avoided the forgotten memories by focusing on other thoughts.
……Anyway, listing out the facts gathered so far: Radel had successfully brainwashed Ezel and passed them over to In-woo. If what Ezel said was true, In-woo had voluntarily accepted Ezel.
There’s no way he would have taken Ezel for strange things as they suggested….. Then there’s only one reason why In-woo brought Ezel.
“Can you do whatever I tell you?”
“Yes.”
Although Ezel looked like they wanted to die, they answered immediately, probably due to the brainwashing.
“That’s what I was left here for. Feel free to ask for anything you need.”
“……”
“But mating is not allowed.”
“Stop talking nonsense.”
Then Ezel should be able to tell In-woo what he needs to hear.
“I want to hear about Radel.”
Since Ezel must know Radel better than anyone else. Having observed him for so long, they might even know more than Raseti.
“You don’t need to know.”
“Tell me.”
Unable to disobey the command, Ezel began speaking with a very reluctant and sullen expression.
“Radel was always a stupid and foolish guy. I wonder if that foolishness still affects him even after losing his memories. When I first met him, he was a kid who couldn’t even kill an ant. I went through a lot trying to train him to be useful.”
Ezel sighed deeply and spoke of their past hardships.
“There was a time when Radel, who had been following my words obediently, caused trouble. It was not long after Radel joined the military, he brought an alien from a planet he had destroyed. Back then too, Radel got quite attached to that alien, just like with you. Though it seems he didn’t do the same things he did with you. Well, they were both children after all.”
“…Tell me more. About that alien.”
