“Huh, ah, stop….”

The sensation was different from before. The explicit excitement was overwhelming, and she shook her head, unable to bear it, but Cardin only deepened his tongue and sucked harder.

“Ca, Cardin! Ugh.”

Cardin lifted his gaze to look at her. His fresh green eyes, now soaked with desire, appeared endlessly dark. As she watched him panting, he slightly lowered his eyelids and instinctively began to suck again.

Whether it was due to the heat or excitement, sweat trickled down his forehead. As she raised her hand to lightly touch it, Cardin’s eyes turned to her. They seemed to flicker like flames. “Cardin.”

Her voice trembled out of surprise. She wanted to sleep, but his face strangely looked more vivid. Moreover, his member, which had grown hard at some point, was quite firm against her below.

“I want to sleep.”

She said, looking into his eyes, but Cardin, tilting his head loosely, kissed her neck.

“I want to be with you more.”

His low voice tickled her ear. Before she could say more, he hugged her tightly. As if her words no longer reached him.

The next day, when she opened her eyes, the bright surroundings felt unfamiliar. Looking at the clock on the wall, it was already past 10 a.m.

‘I usually don’t sleep this late.’

It seemed it was because she had spent the whole night with Cardin. Her body was sore, and it wasn’t good. She had to go for a check-up today. The doctor only came once a month. As she got up to not be late, Cardin pulled her waist towards him. In an instant, she was trapped in his arms. Cardin buried his head in her neck and murmured.

“Sleep more.”

His voice was heavily drowsy. She didn’t dislike the warmth that completely enveloped her. It wasn’t too hot since it was morning. But she had to go to the hospital.

“I have to gather herbs.”

She couldn’t say it was a hospital, so she pretended to be busy. Even at those words, Cardin didn’t loosen his arms.

“Then stay by my side for just five more minutes.”

His low voice burrowed into her ear. Five minutes. It wasn’t long. As she relaxed and stayed still, Cardin hugged her tighter. She hadn’t known Cardin was the type to cling to people like this. Watching his skin, she cautiously touched his arm. At that moment, Cardin’s shoulder twitched. After a while, he looked up at her.

“When you do this, I don’t want to let you go.”

Surprised, she watched as he came over her.

“Brienne, can’t you gather herbs tomorrow?”

At those words, she moved aside.

“No.”

Before Cardin could catch her, she quickly got off the bed. Fortunately, since it was summer, the dresses hung nearby were dry. As she quickly dressed, Cardin’s voice echoed.

“Brienne.”

She turned to him involuntarily. Cardin smiled brightly and spoke.

“I like it this way, even if I can’t remember.”

“…….”

“So don’t worry too much about my memory. I’m not curious about the past anymore either.”

She turned her head.

“But you have a place where you originally lived. If you regain your memory, you’ll want to leave.”

“No, I like it here better.”

As she tried to button up, her hands trembled slightly, making it difficult. Still, she managed to button up to the last one and spoke.

“Or you might remember someone who treated you badly in the past. That person might be closer than you think.”

In the end, it was a pricked conscience that made her say it. She busily packed her herb bag.

“I’ll be back.”

Just as she was about to open the door, Cardin’s voice pierced her ear.

“I can take responsibility for you.”

Her heart pounded uneasily. She immediately turned to him.

“What do you mean?”

Her voice trembled at the end. It seemed she couldn’t hide her uneasy heart. Cardin leisurely curled his lips.

“I’ll tell you later.”

As she stepped out the door, Cardin’s voice echoed.

“I’ll make the chickpea soup tastier next time.”

She didn’t expect much. Still, she smiled, grateful for his effort. Cardin smiled back. As soon as she stepped out of the house, her smile stiffened.

“I can take responsibility for you.”

It felt like they were in a serious relationship. Like thinking about marriage. Marriage. The thought made her hasten her steps.

‘Marriage.’

In her situation, it was impossible. It was an area she shouldn’t hope for or think about.

The journey to Romseed Village was tedious and tiring. Moreover, without Cardin by her side, she felt lonely.

‘We only spent one day together.’

In such a situation, the thought of parting with Cardin seemed distant. However, she didn’t think about it any further. After all, it wasn’t going to happen tomorrow or anytime soon.

She tried to organize her thoughts and headed to the nearby hospital. The hospital was a bit further up from the square. It was located in a somewhat quiet place, away from the main buildings of the village.

The hospital was already crowded. It was partly because it was the only hospital in the area, and a gynecologist visited only once a month.
