Chapter 2 (Part 2)
“Sw-switched rooms?”
“Yes.”
Hearing the same answer again, Cecilia was so shocked she was at a loss for words.
Switching rooms without warning? Why! So, I’ve been molesting the Priest instead of the Earl?
Realizing she had made an absurd mistake, shame overwhelmed her.
I tried to seduce the Earl, but I ended up with another man. And not just any man—a Priest! How could this happen?
Cecilia looked at her hands, which had satisfied the man earlier. Sticky with remnants of the act, she had nowhere to wipe them.
These hands didn’t touch the Earl but the Priest. The one with something bigger than an oversized d*ldo wasn’t the Earl but the Priest….
No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn’t believe it. Hoping it was a dream, Cecilia pinched her cheek. But no matter how hard she pinched, the situation before her didn’t change.
Would pinching with one hand not be enough?
Just as she was about to pinch her cheek with her other hand, Cecilia noticed something unbelievable. It was the object she had just been holding moments ago….
Goodness. No wonder it felt so heavy—it was that big?
Seeing the Priest’s manhood for the first time, Cecilia froze in shock, her slightly parted lips the only movement.
Noticing her gaze directed at his lower body, Ian hurriedly adjusted his pants.
“Why… why would you do such a thing? Did you know my brother and I switched rooms and deliberately try to seduce me?”
Covering his chest with his arms in an X-shape, Ian asked Cecilia. His face was flushed, his ears red, and a small tear still hung at the corner of his eye.
“What?”
“I’ve seen plenty of people like you. Everyone’s desperate to hold my hand. Sometimes, they secretly touch me in passing, but you’re the first woman to boldly barge into my bedroom and commit such an indecent act!”
Ian’s eyes, looking at Cecilia, were as clear and radiant as dewdrops, but his gaze toward her was cold.
The moment Cecilia realized that many devotees had looked at Ian with lustful eyes, she also understood that Priest Ian had completely misunderstood her. If this went on, she would be mistaken for a pervert, which made her want to cry. Yet, trying to explain herself would reveal her shameless behavior, so she couldn’t do that either.
Should I rather be mistaken for a pervert or seen as a shameless woman trying to steal her sister’s fiancé?
Since she was already caught, the outcome wouldn’t change much no matter what she chose. But it was better to clarify the truth than to be misunderstood.
“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Before explaining herself, Cecilia apologized first.
“Haah. Not on purpose? You snuck into the room in the middle of the night, and now…”
Ian, his face still flushed, trailed off mid-sentence. He seemed to think for a moment before speaking again, his expression turning to shock.
“Don’t tell me… Were you trying to seduce my brother instead of me?”
“…”
Cecilia had planned to confess the truth, but Ian had already said what she was about to say, leaving her speechless. Her eyes wavered nervously, unsure of what to do. Seeing her expression, Ian let out a deep sigh.
“Judging by your silence, I guess I’m right.”
His gaze, filled with contempt, was directed at Cecilia, making her feel as if her mouth had gone dry.
However, Ian’s previously tense demeanor seemed to relax. The hands that had been covering his chest slowly lowered. It seemed that, until just now, he had truly believed she was trying to seduce him.
Watching him, Cecilia thought it would be far better to be seen as a shameless woman trying to steal her sister’s man than to have him think she was after him.
“My brother is set to marry your sister. How could you commit such a shameless act!”
But as Ian’s tone became overtly displeased, Cecilia shrank back instinctively.
“I-I’m sorry.”
“What’s your reason? Did your sister say she didn’t want to marry my brother?”
“N-no. I-I came here of my own will.”
There was no way she could say she did it for Rasilia’s sake. Even if it meant being seen as a strange woman, Cecilia had to take full responsibility for everything from start to finish. She couldn’t let Rasilia be put in a difficult position.
“I-I wanted to marry the Earl myself.”
As soon as she forced the words out of her reluctant mouth, Ian’s contemptuous gaze pierced her.
Ah.
Realizing she had been branded as a shameless woman trying to steal her sister’s man, Cecilia felt like crawling into a hole to cry. Her mouth felt unbearably dry.
But this wasn’t anyone else’s fault. It was her own mistake for not checking in advance that the Earl and the Priest had switched rooms.
“You’re truly a despicable person. Don’t you realize that God is watching?”
“I-I couldn’t help it.”
Even as she faced his scornful gaze, Cecilia had no choice but to brazen it out. But the real problem was what would come next. If Priest Ian told her father about what had happened, it would be disastrous.
While she worried about this, Ian said something completely unexpected.
“I don’t think I can support my brother’s marriage with Lady Bucklew.”
Would the marriage proposal be canceled?
Cecilia widened her eyes in surprise as she looked at the Priest.
“What’s that look for?”
As his gaze narrowed, she quickly lowered her eyes.
“N-no, I was just surprised that the marriage proposal was mentioned.”
“Did you think you could do something like this and expect it to be brushed under the rug?”
“…”
Cecilia couldn’t say anything in response. Seeing her silence, Ian let out a deep sigh.
“Leave now.”
His expression made it clear that he had asked all the questions he wanted and didn’t wish to talk any further.
But Cecilia couldn’t leave things so ambiguously. If he told her father everything that had happened today, she would be in serious trouble.
If that happened, all the effort she had put in until now would be wasted. At the very least, she had to prevent today’s events from reaching her father’s ears.
“Could you please forgive me for what happened today? I promise I’ll never do anything like this again.”
Cecilia pleaded with Ian, almost begging. For her, preserving her dignity was less important than erasing her mistake and moving on quietly.
She thought it was a reasonable deal since Ian, as a Priest, wouldn’t want anyone else to know he had been subjected to something so blasphemous.
She knew she was being shameless, but Cecilia no longer had any pride left to lose.
“Leave!”
But her pleading was in vain. Ian’s voice was filled with displeasure, and it was clear he had no intention of forgiving her.
“I’m truly sorry.”
Realizing that persisting would only make things worse, Cecilia bowed politely before leaving the room.
Damn it!
As soon as Cecilia left, Ian bit his lower lip. The memory of the shameless woman’s touch lingered, filling him with disgust.
Women trying to seduce him wasn’t a new experience. He was sick of their greed and wished he could erase it all from his mind.
But after sending her away, the room was filled with a pungent smell that he couldn’t ignore. He knew exactly what it was.
The smell of s*men.
Ian’s face twisted at the unpleasant odor. He had thought he would never encounter such a smell again after swearing his chastity to God. Yet, here he was, faced with it in such an absurd way….
The ridiculousness of the situation left him feeling hollow.
Of course, Priests sometimes ej*culated. He had heard of cases where they struggled to suppress their lust and suffered because of it. He even knew of Priests who secretly broke their vows to be with women.
But Ian was different. From the day he swore his chastity to God, his lower body had never reacted. He had never felt s*xual desire, to the point where he thought of himself as asexual.
As a result, Ian believed he was more suited to being a Priest than anyone else. He could easily maintain the chastity that others struggled to uphold.
But he was wrong.
On this night, when he realized he did have s*xual desire, Ian felt as though his long-held beliefs and convictions had been shattered.
It didn’t make sense that his lower body, which had never reacted since becoming a Priest, had suddenly been awakened by a woman’s touch.
Why….
He had a vague idea of the reason. It was because the woman’s touch had been so skilled. That’s why, when he couldn’t see her face, he suspected she might be a pr*stitute. But when he turned on the light—she was a noblewoman!
How promiscuous must she have been to awaken his unresponsive body?
The thought of being defiled by such a depraved hand filled him with disgust. He was ashamed of himself for experiencing such absurd pleasure from a stranger’s touch.
For the first time since becoming a Priest, Ian felt an urge to curse, but he restrained himself. Instead, he knelt in prayer, asking for forgiveness.
He wanted to rid himself of the impure thoughts he had briefly entertained. He vowed to never feel such emotions again.
“I’m sorry. I was tempted by a woman’s cunning due to my lack of discipline. I will strive to maintain a pure heart and holy spirit.”
The only thing Ian could do was deny that today’s events had happened. If he considered it a non-event, his lower body would return to its usual calm state.
No matter what temptations came his way, Ian prayed fervently to ensure that no impure thoughts would infiltrate his mind again. But even after finishing his prayer, the feelings didn’t go away, and he let out a deep sigh.
“I guess I won’t be able to sleep tonight either.”
He thought tonight would be another sleepless night, just like always. Especially after experiencing something so absurd, how could he sleep?
Even though he knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep, Ian lay down on the bed. He needed at least some rest to prepare for his early departure tomorrow morning.
Closing his eyes, he forced himself to try to sleep. Contrary to his expectations, he drifted off into a deep sleep, so deep that he wouldn’t have noticed if someone carried him away.
It was truly a strange occurrence.
