Even the area where they collect information and receive requests is relatively quiet since it’s full of individualistic people.
However, the opposite building, which handles all other operations and serves as headquarters, has many people coming and going, making it so rough that sometimes guild members end up killing each other in fights.
There are mercenaries who come to headquarters and assassins who take high-level requests.
The problem is that not only internal threats but external enemies are also significant.
So even though it’s an orphanage, it would be better to quickly return to where she was originally.
“Lexiard, what’s over there?”
Lexiard snapped out of his thoughts and looked in the direction Rodi was pointing.
“That’s the banquet hall. Parties are held there on special occasions.”
But even if she returns, it’s not guaranteed everything will be good.
Actually, he didn’t want to send her back.
“Wow, is there lots of food?”
“Probably?”
He didn’t want to let her go, so should he just help her settle here permanently?
“Then I want to do that too, have a party. Will there be meat?”
Just sending her back…
“Yes. Should I have them arrange one?”
The child who immediately asked to be friends at first sight was interesting.
“Is that… okay?”
“There’s no reason why not.”
She was the first child he’d met in the same situation as him.
“Then let’s do it! Let’s!”
“Alright. I’ll have them arrange it for the weekend. Or should we do it tonight?”
When he wants something, it’s natural to have it, right?
“Today won’t work.”
“Why?”
Lexiard had never failed to get anything he wanted.
He had never experienced the thirst of being unable to obtain what he desired.
“I need to learn letters. Ekision said he would teach me.”
“Ekision?”
“Yes, the red-haired mister.”
“Then let’s do it on the weekend.”
Well, if they want her to stay here, they should treat her well.
Lexiard, who had completely changed his mind from worry to this new thought, showed a gentle smile.
“Good! Ah…”
“What?”
Rodi pointed to somewhere.
“It’s the person I bumped into earlier.”
“That woman?”
She was wearing a noticeable red dress with wine-colored long flowing hair.
“Yes. She has lots of sharp needles and things hidden in her clothes. And small knives.”
She had seen them when they bumped into each other. The needles and knives hidden throughout her clothes.
But Eclise also had a sword somewhere in his clothes, and so did Gemvil, Ekision, Padrid, and Jin Jein.
Even Bender had one or two, so it wasn’t particularly surprising.
She thought everyone in Cheiles just carried them around.
Because of that, Rodi was planning to ask Eclise for a sword later too.
But since Lexiard didn’t carry any, maybe it wasn’t necessary after all.
“Needles and knives? Why would she carry those?”
“Don’t know. Others had them too. The boss has a sword.”
“Hmm, that’s because he’s done many things worthy of grudges.”
“Grudges?”
“It means being bad.”
“No, the boss isn’t bad.”
“Why?”
“Because he gave me bread and saved me too. Oh? There’s another big door there. Where does that lead?”
Rodi’s attention, which had been on the woman, quickly shifted elsewhere.
Lexiard continued speaking while still not taking his eyes off the woman Rodi had pointed out.
“Where?”
“There.”
Finally finishing his assessment of the woman’s appearance, Lexiard turned his head toward Rodi.
“That leads to another building. Everyone calls it the West Building or West Wing. Want to go there too?”
While explaining that where Rodi was now was the Central Building or Main Wing, and that the West Wing housed the information guild members and related documents, while the East Wing served as headquarters for other operations, Rodi nodded.
“Yes. Is it far?”
“No, just need to cross one garden. There’s a fountain there too.”
“Fountain…?”
Rodi’s eyes sparkled.

“Give me the approval documents, I’ll report while going.”
“Oh, would that be alright? I was about to organize them to send to the central office.”
“Hand them over.”
Gemvil was massaging his neck, seemingly tired, but still held out his hand to the guild member who was organizing documents.
He had just entered through the West Wing after being out.
Since he was planning to go up to the second floor of the Main Wing anyway, Gemvil would occasionally deliberately stop by other buildings to help carry necessary items.
Being tall with an enormous build and not having a gentle expression, everyone was afraid of him at first, but since he wasn’t actually that rough inside, they would be extremely grateful when he helped like this.
“Thank you. Is there anything I can do for you?”
“No need, good work.”
Gemvil took the documents and opened the opposite door.
As he was about to enter the Main Wing door after crossing the external corridor, he heard chirping sounds nearby.
When he unconsciously turned to look, he saw two small heads by the fountain.
‘They’re together again.’
Gemvil stopped in his tracks.
Is it okay to leave them together?
Although he had seen them together on the first day, that could be excused as an unavoidable situation since the kid was sick then.
While Lexiard wasn’t much older than Rodi and could be considered somewhat of a peer, he was more dangerous than anyone.
It was impossible to know what he was thinking, and his abilities were unmatched.
While he could be said to be more calm and mature than anyone his age, he was still less skilled at controlling emotions than adults.
Moreover, he blindly followed his uncle Eclise, often impulsively hurting people.
Therefore, Lexiard was literally like a time bomb.
To everyone except his ally Eclise.
He was worried about leaving that dangerous person with that ignorant kid.
‘Come to think of it, they both have unusual abilities. Is that why they’re being left together?’
If they were going to isolate them, they would have separated them already.
Gemvil came to the conclusion that it wasn’t his place to interfere.
He was about to turn his head back to enter the central building.
“Mister!”
If only it weren’t for the kid’s voice grating on his nerves.
With the sound of rapid footsteps, Rodi arrived in front of Gemvil.
Seeing Lexiard also heading this way, Gemvil gave a short bow.
“Why do you keep calling me mister.”
It would be silly to get upset at a child, but he had to correct this.
He was still a young man in his prime.
“Ah, right. Gemvil! Look, I changed clothes again. These are new clothes too.”
“Is that so? I see.”
Rodi treated Gemvil quite familiarly, saying he was one of the first companions she met along with Eclise.
She showed remarkable adaptability and friendliness, unfazed by his unusual appearance befitting one of the two giants.
“Now there’s no smell and it smells nice.”
“Ah, right.”
What is he supposed to do with this information?
Gemvil couldn’t understand why she was telling him every little detail.
If you wear new clothes, you wear them, if there’s no smell, there’s no smell. Why tell him…
But Rodi was looking up at him with such sparkling eyes that he couldn’t just exchange greetings and pass by.
Seeing her nodding enthusiastically.
‘Seems like she wants something.’
But he couldn’t figure out what.
Gemvil just scratched his neck, unable to find the answer.
He had never failed to solve any mission before, but this was harder than the most difficult mission he’d ever faced.
Looking down at the small head from above, he could see the slightly left-leaning part in her hair and felt an urge to pat it.
“Gemvil.”
That thought disappeared when Lexiard approached a bit closer and called him.
“Yes, Lord Lexiard.”
“The second floor seems not fully cleaned. There are dirty spots. Red hair is scattered around too.”
Gemvil wasn’t one to misunderstand Lexiard’s meaning.
His expression instantly turned cold.
The second floor was off-limits to anyone except Eclise, Lexiard, executives, and some permitted servants.
Despite there being no door between the first and second floors, it was an unwritten rule that was strictly observed.
Very occasionally, some clueless employee might venture up out of curiosity and quickly flee, but Lexiard wouldn’t mention that to Gemvil.
And among those permitted, there was only one person with red hair – Ekision – but he obviously wasn’t referring to him.
“Is that so.”
“Yes. Uncle hates dirty things.”
“I’ll have it cleaned thoroughly.”
“Huh? But the second floor is super clean?”
Rodi opened her eyes wide as if questioning what they meant.
Lexiard smiled gently at that.
“You’re right. But I saw some dust in the corners earlier.”
“I see.”
When Rodi quickly accepted this, both Lexiard and Gemvil were about to move on.
Until Rodi showed enthusiasm.
“I’m really good at cleaning.”
“Hm?”
“The teacher said I clean well. Let me do it. The boss said I can earn lots of money if I work hard.”
At that moment, both Gemvil and Lexiard were simultaneously taken aback.
