Chapter 2 (Part 7)
Reina tried to get up while holding what Lilith had left behind. It felt oddly different, more blunt and solid than usual.
However, it didn’t move as if something was blocking it, like being covered by fabric. Reina pulled hard on what she was holding.
“Ugh. My, my lady!”
At that moment, she heard a gasp and a voice filled with embarrassment.
Huh?
Sensing something strange, she finally checked who the man she had pinned down was.
Patrick was looking down at Reina, who was lying between his legs. His right cheek was red and swollen, possibly from being hit by the armor.
Seeing him squinting in pain made her think he might have gotten hurt when they fell.
Did he get a bruise on his butt?
“Hand….”
As she stared blankly, he averted his gaze awkwardly.
“Pardon?”
“P-Please, move your hand!”
It was the first time she had seen him so flustered.
“What do you mean…?”
She felt the thing in her hand twitch momentarily. Reina’s eyes widened, and she quickly checked what she was holding.
What she was holding was…
At that moment, she met Patrick’s light brown eyes, filled with distress. Reina realized what she had done.
“Kyaaa!”
In a panic, Reina screamed and hurriedly let go, but the sensation of holding a living thing lingered in her palm.
I had unwittingly touched and squeezed his…!
The fabric was so soft that she hadn’t realized it was his pants and had momentarily mistaken it.
Her face turned pale in an instant. She felt blood rushing to her face.
Feeling both embarrassed and flustered, Reina quickly crawled away from him.
“I-I-I didn’t mean to! It was an accident!”
She shouted desperately, hoping he wouldn’t misunderstand.
“I-I understand.”
As soon as Reina got up, Patrick also hurriedly stood up.
“I-I-I’m so sorry. It was really an accident!”
Reina apologized again, adding an excuse.
“It doesn’t always happen. T-This is the first time. So, I must go now.”
Patrick stammered, as if he had an urgent matter, and quickly left the room. He must have come to the study for a reason, but it was the first time she had seen him so flustered. Even his walk was awkward.
“….”
Reina was paralyzed, unable to do anything. She just stared blankly at Patrick as he walked away.
“He’s flustered because of me, isn’t he?”
Her golden eyes rolled aimlessly, and her gaping mouth didn’t close.
Then her gaze slowly lowered to her hand, which had just held something large.
What…?
Even from a distance, it had looked so big, but actually touching it, she realized it was even larger than she had imagined. It gave her a strange, vivid shock.
It had felt hot, like it had been heated in a fire. It had even twitched as if it were alive, so why hadn’t I thought it was strange?
Lilith would never carry around a fully ripened fruit, so she should have found it odd from the start, but she hadn’t.
Who would have thought it would be near his thigh? Of course, she had assumed it would be in the center of his legs.
It was so much larger than she had imagined that she hadn’t even considered it could be part of his body.
The situation was so bewildering that she had momentarily lost her rationality and made a mistake.
“Why does Lilith carry such things around!”
The lingering sensation of that unbelievable feeling still remained in her hand, and she was confused about how to process it.
Coming back to her senses, Reina clutched her head with both hands and screamed internally.
What have I done? I’m crazy. I must be crazy!
Feeling the large club that had tormented her in her dreams with her own body left her bewildered. It was an unknown sensation she had never experienced before.
Moreover, who would have thought it would be hard? It wouldn’t be hard unless it was er*ect.
Wait….
Come to think of it, it was strange. Why was it hard?
It wouldn’t just stand up at any time, so why had it been swollen in that situation?
Reina recalled what Patrick had said earlier.
‘It doesn’t always happen. T-This is the first time. So, I must go now.’
Judging by his flustered appearance, it seemed he didn’t usually get aroused easily. It must have been a rare accident.
Even a man who was always noble, proper, and restrained had moments when he couldn’t control his body.
It’s like seeing a new side of him.
Since it was something she had never seen before, it was both fascinating and gave her a peculiar feeling.
However, that was just a fleeting thought. Yesterday it was the butt, and today… As she recalled what she had done, a wave of shame washed over her entire body.
Patrick would surely retract his words from yesterday, saying he didn’t misunderstand.
“How am I supposed to face the Commander from now on! What if he thinks I’m a strange person?”
Even though she had explained it was an accident and apologized, it was obvious he would find it odd.
It wasn’t enough just to show him her best side; now she felt like her relationship with Patrick was growing more distant due to these accidents.
Why did the Commander have to come to the study at this timing?
He must have come to report the results of his outing after missing the early morning training. But why now!
Yesterday, she had narrowly avoided being misunderstood as a frivolous woman, but today, it wasn’t a misunderstanding; it was a fact!
Can I fix this?
Though she had explained it was a mistake, the problem was whether Patrick would believe her.
“Sigh.”
Reina let out a deep sigh.
She needed to get up, but she couldn’t. It felt like all the strength had left her body.
I’m not someone who pounces on men….
It made no sense for her to be the one harassing Patrick. But intentional or not, she had ended up harassing him.
Reina was about to grab her head in self-reproach when it happened.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen? I heard a scream.”
Suddenly, Richelle’s voice came from the direction of the door.
Reina lowered her hands from her head and stood up as if nothing had happened. She was so startled that it felt like a surge of energy had returned to her.
“What’s going on? The Commander left in a hurry, and you’re acting strange… Did something happen between you two?”
Richelle tilted her head in suspicion, her eyes filled with doubt directed at Reina.
“N-Nothing happened. I fell, and the Commander c-caught me. I was just embarrassed.”
Reina tried to explain, but Richelle tilted her head further.
“Suspicious.”
“W-What’s suspicious! It was my first time being in a man’s arms, so I was just awkward.”
“Really? I’ve never seen Commander Patrick look so flustered.”
“M-Maybe he was surprised because I’m h-heavy.”
“Really?”
Richelle turned her head with a playful smile, then suddenly shouted.
“Oh my! What happened to this room?”
At Richelle’s scream, Reina finally realized she had made a mess of her father’s study.
The scattered armor, broken glass shards, books on the floor, and the messed-up carpet… It would be a disaster if her father found out.
“What on earth did you do in the study?”
Richelle looked back and forth between Reina and the room, shocked.
“I-I just wanted to try on the armor for a bit, but it was heavier than I thought, haha.”
“Did you throw the armor that’s rolling over there?”
“Haha.”
Reina laughed awkwardly in response.
“We need to clean this up. But why did you suddenly decide to try on that heavy armor?”
Richelle sighed and shook her head.
“Y-Yeah, why did I try it on?”
“…”
Richelle’s gaze, wandering around the room, stopped when she saw the broken glass shards on the floor.
“Good thing there weren’t any flowers in it, but isn’t that vase one of Father’s favorites? I heard it’s quite precious.”
“…”
Reina paused as she bent down to pick up the glass shards, hearing Richelle’s words.
“Don’t touch it, it’s dangerous! I’ll call the head maid.”
Richelle stopped Reina’s actions and hurriedly left the study.
After Richelle left, Reina, now alone in the study, looked around the room once more and let out a big sigh.
I’m dead if Father finds out….
