At first, Adelia thought he was joking, but when she realized he really didn’t know, her mouth fell open.
‘It’s not a cathedral but an ancient temple?’
The image of the beautiful temple in her imagination shattered. In its place, an image of a desolate and old temple took over.
“That’s disappointing. I was looking forward to it.”
Adelia leaned back on the sofa with a bitter expression. Even if it was different from her imagination, she still wanted to visit the temple. Even if she didn’t believe in God, she wanted to see the face of the God who sent her here at least once.
Upon arriving at the temple, Adelia walked around quietly, observing here and there. Lucian followed behind her quietly, matching her pace.
“The exterior is all white, but the interior isn’t. Still, it feels a bit bleak.”
The temple’s exterior was made of white stone pillars, giving a rough and monotonous atmosphere. At least the interior was decorated with low-saturation items.
At the center was a statue made of white marble. In front of the statue carved in the image of God, there was a golden candlestick and an altar for prayer.
‘Is that God? Not much to see.’
Adelia looked at it briefly before averting her gaze. Instead, she approached the windows inside the temple.
“It’s good that there are many windows at least.”
Adelia made a rectangular shape by extending only her thumb and index finger on both hands. She stretched out her arms and looked through the space at the window made of opaque glass.
“Don’t you think it would be perfect if there were decorations in vibrant colors here?”
Adelia looked up at Lucian beside her as she spoke.
He bent slightly at the waist to match her line of sight. Then he looked at the world through the rectangle she had made.
“The temple atmosphere is too bleak, so any ordinary decoration would just ruin the aesthetics.”
“Then how about very elaborate decorations? Enough to make the temple ceiling gorgeous?”
“If we’re going to decorate, it should be enough to completely change the atmosphere. It would be difficult unless we paint everything.”
“Hmm. I’ll have to consider it.”
Her disappointment at the absence of the stained glass she had been expecting was short-lived. Adelia changed her mind.
‘If it doesn’t exist, I’ll just make it.’
Stained glass was used in architecture, but in the modern world she had lived in, it was also widely used for decoration.
It was made into lamps or decorative trays, and there were also works made into mobiles or small ornaments.
Rather, since it didn’t exist here, she could monopolize the technology and sell it.
‘I should look for a glass technician. Can they make colored glass?’
Of course, Adelia had only seen stained glass, never made it. Where would an ordinary office worker have made such a thing?
But in her previous world, there were many media through which one could gain various knowledge. Things like text or videos.
Although she didn’t know the detailed method, she had seen the process in videos a few times, so she knew roughly how it was done.
‘I don’t need to know everything. If I just provide the idea, the technicians will figure out the method.’
The process of realizing ideas from her previous life was absolutely impossible alone. There were various technicians in this world too. If Adelia just came up with a small idea, they would complete the item through research.
Ideas that people in this world couldn’t easily imagine were a powerful weapon.
“I think we’ve seen enough of the temple. Shall we head back now?”
“It’s that way.”
“I’m tired from walking around. Let’s go quickly.”
Adelia, having achieved her purpose, turned her body sharply. She walked briskly towards where Lucian pointed.
Unlike the entrance, the exit from the temple required going around a path outside the temple. In contrast to the tidy interior, the exterior had uneven stones laid out.
It wasn’t strange that Adelia, walking click-clack in her low shoes, stumbled.
“Be careful. It will hurt if you fall on the stone path.”
“Thank you. The path is quite rough.”
Lucian wrapped one arm around Adelia’s waist as she stumbled and pulled her towards him. Adelia fit snugly into his embrace. Adelia, who had been shrinking with her hands pressed tightly to her chest, looked up and smiled brightly.
Lucian cleared his throat and let go of Adelia as he met her eyes that were narrowed mischievously.
“You might fall again, so hold on.”
Lucian held out his hand. Knowing that they had to walk on the stone path ahead, Adelia gladly took his hand.
Instead of placing her hand on top as if escorting at a banquet, they naturally clasped hands and lowered them. Their warmth intertwined through their skin.
Their tightly held hands swayed gently between them.
“This isn’t bad either.”
The area around the temple was an ordinary and natural landscape with green trees and small wildflowers blooming.
It wasn’t particularly beautiful or splendid. Instead, the blue sea caught the eye, and the sky was turning red with the sunset.
And beside her stood the most outstanding man in the world.
As a cool breeze swept through his hair, the scenery became even more beautiful.
‘It’s peaceful.’
Adelia focused on the scenery for a moment, setting aside all thoughts.
As if she wouldn’t forget this moment, she etched everything into her memory using all five senses. The serene landscape, the handsome man standing there, the cool breeze blowing, and even the warm sensation in her hand.
The memory of that day remained in Adelia’s memory without missing a single detail.
Upon arriving at the mansion, Adelia was led by the maids to be washed. Exhausted from walking around all day, she collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep.

Their honeymoon had come to an end the next morning, so they boarded the carriage to return to the imperial palace.
“I miss Your Highness!”
“I agree.”
“I hope she likes the gift. I hope it suits her well.”
The jewelry box they bought together contained a pearl necklace and several accessories. Adelia carefully packed it. She was eager to give Ariana the gift and see her reaction.
But her hopes were soon shattered.
What greeted the two upon their return to the imperial palace was not the lovely Ariana.
As soon as they set foot in the palace, Adelia and Lucian were summoned to the Emperor’s office.
“Sigh… I want to go see Her Highness.”
“We must go to Father first since he called for us.”
“I know. Judging by how urgently he called, it must not be an ordinary matter. That’s why I’m giving up on seeing Her Highness and going.”
As they entered the imperial palace, a bleak atmosphere crept over their entire bodies. The stiffly frozen palace people looked somewhat strained.
Adelia moved her steps towards the office without showing it.
‘Whatever it is, it seems like something big has happened.’
Since there was no sense of murderous intent, it wasn’t related to Her Highness, and the Emperor’s bad mood was certainly due to some headache-inducing state affairs. Lucian seemed to know this too, as he didn’t say anything in particular.
When they arrived in front of the office, the aides with dark circles down to their chins smiled happily at Adelia. They quickly opened the door and sent sparkling gazes asking them to come in soon.
“Father. We’re here.”
Adelia entered the office with a bright smile. There, the Emperor was clutching documents with a severely twisted expression, exuding a dark atmosphere.
‘No one else is here.’
Fortunately, only piles of documents were strewn on the floor. Seeing them enter the office, the Emperor threw the documents he was holding onto the desk.
“Sit down.”
The Emperor, who had been sitting at the office desk, stood up holding one document. He seemed to have stiff shoulders as he patted them while plopping down on the sofa right in front.
The Emperor sent an urging gaze with a grim face, his brow deeply furrowed.
The office door closed when Adelia and Lucian sat down.
“It’s been a while. Have you been well?”
“It’s only been a week, what are you talking about.”
“Ahem. For just a week, Father, your complexion seems to have worsened a lot. As if something very annoying and irritating has happened.”
Adelia said slyly, resting her chin on her hand. She expressed indirectly, beating around the bush, to ask him to get to the point quickly.
The Emperor clicked his tongue briefly and threw a document onto the table.
“A letter has arrived from the Holy Kingdom. Both an official letter and an unofficial letter arrived together.”
“A letter from the Holy Kingdom?”
For a moment, Adelia’s eyes widened so much that the round shape of her blue irises was fully visible.
The two eyes that had been swirling with a mixture of confusion and surprise gradually became calm.
It was surprising that an unexpected place was mentioned, but it wasn’t strange.
“What are the contents?”
“The official letter says they want to bestow blessings on the Crown Prince and Princess and ask permission to visit.”
“Then what about the unofficial letter?”
“They say the Saintess received an oracle.”
Lucian frowned at those words.
“Isn’t it too quiet for having received an oracle?”
“They say the Saint who received the oracle is not speaking. That she must tell the Empire first. So all we know is that the Saintess will accompany the visit.”
“They say she received an oracle and its contents are related to the Empire. That’s why they officially requested a visit.”
“Is there no information about the oracle?”
“If we knew that, we wouldn’t be struggling like this now.”
The Emperor pressed his deeply furrowed brow with his fingers.
