Chapter 8 – Confession (Part 2)
The time of pain was brief. Sophia’s body quickly heated up, filled with pleasure. At the same time, it felt like the hunger she had felt while waiting for Killian was being satisfied.
As Sophia wrapped her arms around Killian’s neck, his movements became even more intense. His face also subtly contorted.
“I regretted it. If I knew it would be like this, I should have taken you with me, even if it was dangerous.”
When Killian withdrew, the intense movements paused for a moment. His head fell onto Sophia’s shoulder. His firm chest muscles swelled and subsided repeatedly with his rough breaths.
After catching his breath for a moment, Killian began to thrust again, pushing in deeply.
His movements were intense, like a beast engulfed in desire. The rough thrusts, enough to make a sound, caused Sophia’s body to bounce.
It was the first time he had been so rough. It made her realize how considerate he had been of her until now.
But it wasn’t entirely unpleasant. Sophia held onto Killian’s neck tighter, surrendering her body to the pleasure he gave.
Killian’s thrusts became faster, and the pleasure Sophia felt doubled in proportion.
Just when she thought she couldn’t endure it anymore, her mind went blank. Simultaneously, Killian also trembled and released a thick fluid deep inside her.
Reaching the climax, Sophia’s legs lost strength, and her body collapsed. Unable to support himself any longer, Killian also sat down with her in his arms. Sophia leaned against his chest, gasping for breath.
Holding her in his arms, he gently brushed back Sophia’s hair, damp with sweat, with his hand.
Despite having been rough just moments ago, his touch was gentle and soft as he removed the hair sticking to her cheek.
As she looked up at him with a dazed gaze, Killian’s eyes seemed somehow sorrowful.
“I thought I had expressed my feelings in my own way, but it didn’t reach you.”
His voice was also filled with regret.
“What expression?”
“Didn’t you ever wonder why His Majesty’s order for you to stay at the Loden family for a year was suddenly revoked?”
“Though it was strange, it wasn’t a disadvantage to me, so I didn’t want to delve into it.”
“The reason you could leave the Loden estate after a month was that I personally asked His Majesty.”
“He’s not someone who would grant a request just because you asked.”
Despite my father’s numerous requests, His Majesty didn’t grant them, yet he listened to Killian…?
Sophia wore a puzzled expression. However, instead of answering, Killian spoke something else.
“I thought we had grown closer over time. So, I believed we had become a true couple.”
“…”
“But it was all my misunderstanding. It seems my feelings weren’t conveyed enough.”
Seeing his eyes, which seemed disappointed, Sophia felt a strange sensation.

Whenever the King attended a banquet, Killian was obliged to attend as well. Each time, he assumed the role of an observer, watching the nobles enjoying the party.
The sight of numerous nobles dancing to the music or chatting in the spacious hall was a world far removed from his own. Thus, Killian’s gaze, observing them, was inevitably dry and indifferent.
However, there was one exception when a particular lady attended. When she appeared, his gaze unconsciously turned towards her.
She came today as well.
The name of the lady who captured his gaze was Sophia Dveshi. Strangely, in Killian’s eyes, her appearance resembled a sparkling jewelry box.
Though seeing her enter the ballroom escorted by another man in a neatly dressed gown wasn’t entirely pleasant.
In those moments, he felt the urge to approach her and ask her to dance. Simultaneously, he also felt the urge to go and strangle the young master who was laughing and talking with her.
Crazy bastard. What am I doing with a woman who doesn’t even glance at me?
Killian realized how intense his jealousy was, unable to take his fierce gaze off the men around Sophia.
He felt pathetic, but controlling his emotions was impossible whenever he saw Sophia.
“I told you not to look at Sophie with those eyes!”
At such times, Liam, standing beside him, would scold him.
Most people didn’t notice Killian’s favorable gaze, but there was one exception.
Liam, a man from the Dveshi family and an eccentric, had long noticed that Killian harbored feelings for Sophia.

After hearing Liam’s comment, Killian realized that he had been glaring at the two men and women with a fierce gaze. Worried that Sophia might have misunderstood his gaze, Liam gave him an incredulous look.
“Is my sister really that lovely? Well, even I find her pretty, so imagine how beautiful she must be to others.”
As a bystander, he had no intention of introducing Sophia to Killian because she harbored sharp hostility towards the Loden family.
Killian also knew that Sophia disliked him. Whenever he tried to approach her to speak, the color would drain from her face as if she were a corpse.
Thus, although Killian had been secretly in love with Sophia for a long time, he couldn’t confess and had to watch from afar.
Even though it wasn’t easy to speak to her, Killian couldn’t let go of his lingering feelings for Sophia. No matter how hostile the relationship of their family was, there was still a way for him to marry her.
There was only one way for Killian to propose to Sophia. That was to lead the war against the Kingdom of Titani to victory and become a hero of the Kingdom of Lux!
If he made a name for himself and became a hero, reaching a position where no one could touch him, he could negotiate with the King. When that day came, Killian intended to boldly ask the King for Sophia as his wife.
It was obvious that his family and the Dveshi family would oppose, but if his position strengthened, no one could say anything. Then, he planned to win Sophia’s body first and gradually win her heart.
So, Killian started as a regular knight and, through relentless effort, steadily climbed to his current position as the Captain of the Royal Knights.
He had already seized victory in numerous wars. By sheer number, he should have already become a hero, but he hadn’t because there hadn’t been a significant battle to achieve great merit.
In the current situation, for Killian to become a hero, he needed to completely subdue the Kingdom of Titani, which launched surprise attacks. However, since it wasn’t yet the time to bring down the Kingdom of Titani, he had to wait while building more achievements until the opportunity arose.
However, his plans went awry while he was away from the capital, resolving disputes with the Kingdom of Titani.
“Killian, have you heard the news?”
It was Liam who brought the shocking news to Killian. While preparing to attend the banquet hosted by the King upon returning to the capital, Liam rushed in with an urgent expression.
Seeing him enter with a flushed face, Killian immediately sensed it was something serious, but he asked with a calm expression.
“You didn’t even get surprised when we had to rush to the frontier. What’s the matter now?”
“You’ll be shocked too when you hear this. Sophie is marrying your second brother.”
“What? What do you mean?”
Killian’s hand, which was fastening his cuff buttons, stopped.
“It seems the conflict between the Dveshi family and the Loden family intensified while we were away from the capital. His Majesty, who received protest letters, couldn’t stand it anymore and wanted the two families to form an alliance through marriage. So, my lovely Sophie is marrying your wretched second brother! How dare that bastard try to marry Sophie!”
Liam, with a face full of resentment, spat out curses towards Clive, unable to accept it. It was natural for him to be angry as he particularly adored Sophia among his two younger sisters.
“That’s nonsense.”

Liam, who had long known Killian’s feelings, was supporting his heart.
“Do you think I have the qualifications to be her partner?”
“Compared to Clive, who changes women every night, you’re much better.”
“Then, if I ask for your help, will you assist me?”
“As much as you need. If you’re Sophie’s partner, I’m all for it.”
