CHAPTER 19 – With This Purpose (Part 1)
In the early morning when there were not many cars on the road, the red light of a distant traffic signal turned on. Seoyeon slowed down the car and came to a stop, then opened the messaging app on her phone.
“CEO, this is Yoon Seoyeon. I will visit at 7 AM.”
As Seoyeon’s voice spoke, the message was typed out. The navigation showed an estimated arrival time of 6:50 AM. Considering various factors, she added 10 minutes of buffer time and hit send.
Ah, really…
After sending the message, Seoyeon briefly buried her head in the steering wheel.
What a lukewarm situation this is.
She had wanted to act coolly, if not completely detached, but now she’s sighing from having to text, having to visit, wondering what on earth she’s gotten herself into.
She lifted her drowsy head and waited for the light to change. The phone rang – it was Dojun. Seeing that he had called immediately after the message, he must have something urgent to say.
“Yes, CEO.”
Seoyeon pressed the call button and spoke, politely greeting him after firmly biting her lip.
“Good morning, sir. I’m on my way.”
— Since I’m outside, it might be late if I go in.
Dojun’s voice rumbled like it was coming from a body of water. She could also hear the splashing sound of water.
Is he swimming this early in the morning?
He sounds full of energy. As Seoyeon was thinking this, Dojun said:
— I’ll give you the password, so go ahead and go in first.
What a burdensome request.
For Dojun, it’s just a casual thing to share the password with his secretarial staff or employees, but for Seoyeon, it’s not. It would be easier to just wait for him since he’s the one running late.
“I’ll wait in the car. Please let me know when you come up.”
— Shall we go up together?
How strange. She could almost see the expression on his face from his tone. She imagined a sardonic smile, and the mental image of his w*t, dripping hair and toned body was rather distracting. Seoyeon shook her head.
Get a grip, Yoon Seoyeon.
“Please go up first and let me know. I’ll come up.”
— Get a cup of coffee and take your time, I’ll be about 10 minutes late.
He then abruptly hung up. At the same time, the traffic light changed. If you could make “get straight to the point” into a person, it would be Hwang Dojun. Thinking this, Seoyeon started the car again.
* * *
[Come on up].
The message popped up on the screen. It’s 7:05 AM. Faster than expected, Seoyeon put down the coffee she was holding and turned off the engine. She got out of the car, tidied up her appearance, and pressed the elevator button.
Ding.
As the bell rang, shortly after, the sound of the lock mechanism disengaging was heard, and the door opened. Seoyeon stepped inside, greeting Dojun.
“Good morning, CEO. Did you sl—”
The rest of the words got stuck in her throat. Dojun, who had opened the door, was standing too close. Although she had entered the foyer, Dojun’s body was blocking her way. Seoyeon found herself trapped between the door and Dojun.
Staring intently at Seoyeon, Dojun pulled the door closed. The sound of the door locking echoed. He looked down at her and said,
“Did you sleep well?”
With his w*t hair, he asks if she slept well. His expression and the way he leaned in conveyed the meaning. Along with the scent of shampoo, a faint smell of disinfectant wafted from him. Seoyeon looked at Dojun, spellbound.
She had forgotten how overwhelming this man could be. How dizzying it used to be.
What kind of man has eyes like this…
Seoyeon’s thoughts were cut off as Dojun raised his hand and cupped her cheek. Pressing his thumb to her lips, he said.
“What are you going to do about it now?”
Their gazes met in the air. The proximity of Dojun’s scent made Seoyeon’s insides heat up. She couldn’t utter a single word, like someone with a lump in their throat.
Dojun let out a short laugh and lowered his lips.
It was an overt kiss. His tongue snaked out between their deeply intertwined lips, a hot, probing mass sweeping through her mouth and stirring the pit of her stomach which made Seoyeon grip Dojun’s shirt tightly.
While kissing Seoyeon in a way that seemed to steal all her breath, Dojun took her hands in his and pulled them up. Their fingers deeply entwined, the joined hands pressed against the front door. Her back was to the cold front door, and she could barely stand on her tiptoes.
Ugh.
Seoyeon let out a suppressed moan. The cold hair, dizzying scent, and overwhelming presence. Every time their lips parted and their tongues intertwined, it felt like her mind was flickering.
The kiss that started in the foyer continued through the hallway and into the living room.
“Wait…….”
Whenever Seoyeon tried to say something, Dojun would deepen the kiss further. He loved the feel of her words being swallowed into his mouth, the way they melted into a moan at the end.
Biting and sucking on her sweet-tasting lips, Seoyeon’s moans reverberated through her body. As Dojun languidly moved his tongue, the hands gripping his shirt tightened.
“CEO…”
In the brief moment their lips parted, Seoyeon called him with a flushed face. She must have something to say. But Dojun wouldn’t listen, instead sealing her lips in another deep kiss.
Still, being called “CEO” wasn’t unpleasant. He liked the willfulness to draw the line, even in this state, and the process of that willfulness becoming hazy in his embrace was quite thrilling.
“The clothes…The clothes first.”
Seoyeon said again. Dojun paid no heed, instead licking her earlobe. Seoyeon shuddered her shoulders and breathed heavily.
“Hmph.”
Her earlobe, neck, and the inside of her wrist – wherever Dojun’s lips touched, Seoyeon’s body trembled. Every time she swallowed, Dojun’s excitement grew.
As Seoyeon shivered, Dojun slid his hand between her thighs. Touching the sensitive area made Seoyeon furrow her brow and shudder.
“Wait…….”
He touched a sensitive spot, and she let out a short “ahhh” and grabbed his arm. Undeterred, Dojun continued touching her.
“Go ahead.”
“Clothes first……. Aah.”
Seoyeon let out a suppressed moan, tightly gripping Dojun’s arm. He ignored her and kept caressing her. Seoyeon trembled violently, narrowing her eyes.
A sticky sound started coming from Dojun’s fingertips. Seoyeon’s breathing became ragged as she bit her lip firmly.
Ah…
Seoyeon closed her eyes, her body shaking as she gripped Dojun’s arm tightly. The bursting pl*asure she couldn’t contain made her shake her head and bite her lip, causing Dojun’s desire to swell.
He could feel the strength slowly draining from her body. He sat down on the couch with her in his arms. Straddling his thighs, he pulled her waist closer so their lower bellies were pressed together.
“This is why…”
Seoyeon opened her mouth, and Dojun, liking the way her voice cracked at the end, didn’t stop her this time. He seemed to know what she was about to say, so he simply admitted it.
“Yes, this is why I called you.”
Swollen lips, eyes glistening with moisture, disheveled hair. Even so, her face remained composed. Dojun took in Seoyeon’s appearance, committing it to memory as he spoke.
“You know, so why ask?”
Seoyeon looked at him in disbelief. Dojun smiled slyly and said,
“You’re going to do it anyway, aren’t you?”
Ah.
A short sigh escaped Seoyeon’s lips. Dojun raised his hand and brushed back Seoyeon’s hair, then gently caressed her earlobe with his fingertips. She shuddered and tilted her head.
“Should I stop?”
Toying with her earlobe, Dojun asked.
How infuriating.
Seoyeon glared at him. Every time Dojun pressed on her ear, her lower abdomen constricted.
She knew the pl*asure he could give her. Her body, like a stretched bowstring, craved what he could give her.
“Can you stop?”
Seoyeon asked a question instead of answering.
“No.”
Dojun replied, pulling Seoyeon’s body closer. As their lips met, her lower abdomen tightened.
Next time, I really need to keep my wits about me.
Seoyeon thought, wrapping her arms around Dojun’s neck.
