Romantic Divorce - CHAPTER 3_ Sweet and Delicious (Part 6)
CHAPTER 3: Sweet and Delicious (Part 6)
She wasn’t the weak type to be hurt by such things, so she pretended to be unaffected and walked out of the hotel nonchalantly.
The harsh winter of Moscow was unusually warm this year, and tears unexpectedly welled up in her eyes.
On her way to the practice room after wiping away the tears in the corner of her eyes, Moon-kyeong was taken aback by the sudden shower of icy water.
“I knew you’d be like this.”
When a cat has a long tail, it’s bound to be stepped on. It was Lee Hee-jin who threw the ice water on Moon-kyeong’s face.
Hee-jin glared at her with a malicious expression on her face.
“Did you think I wouldn’t find out? You were determined to hide it until the end?”
Moon-kyeong quickly brushed away the water with a cold expression. Water dripped from the ends of her wet hair.
“Apologize right now!”
Her gaze fell to Hee-jin’s feet. She had made a mistake.
She’d been meeting Kim Seojun, while she’d been friendly with Lee Hee-jin.
But was apologizing really necessary? Moon-kyeong asked Heejin with an indifferent expression.
“What apology?”
“For being so shameless!”
“Weren’t you with a Premier League football player last Thursday? On Saturday, you met a college student at the club. And on Sunday, who was it again? There were so many, I can’t remember.”
“Ha.”
Normally, she wouldn’t have said all the things she wanted to say to Hee-jin without a filter.
She would have tried to adapt to her tempo, adjusting to her ups and downs. But not today.
Today, I’m in a bit of a shitty mood, so don’t mess with me and just leave.
As Hee-jin lunged at her with venom in her eyes, Moon-kyeong grabbed her wrist firmly.
“Hee-jin.”
“…….”
“Are you and Kim Seojun dating or something like that? Did I interfere between you two? Did I get in the way? Did you get a confession or something? Did you two have a fling without me knowing? What’s the problem?”
“We’re friends. You know how much I liked Senior Seojun, how could you do this to me? Don’t you have any manners when it comes to friends?”
A hysterical laugh burst out of Moon-kyeong’s mouth incessantly.
Even after returning from the trip to Spain, she subtly divided herself from her other friends.
Every time they went to Saint Petersburg, every time she was invited to a club, she mocked and ridiculed people, like a cunning fox.
She responded to Hee-jin’s words coldly. Moon-kyeong’s words were cold and sharp.
“Were we friends? Are you sure? Is that really what you think?”
For the first time, an unforgivable Hee-jin fiercely slapped Moon-kyeong’s cheek.
The slap sounded more brutal than ever in the cold weather. Moon-kyeong didn’t hold back either.
Before the redness from the slap even fully rose, she struck Hee-jin as well.
As Lee Hee-jin squirmed in frustration, Moon-kyeong continued.
“You know as well as I do that Kim Seojun isn’t your man, and I’m not your friend. Even a passing dog knows that. Even if you don’t have a brain, at least pretend like you do.”
“You crazy bitch.”
“Yeah, I’m a crazy bitch, so don’t associate with me.”
As Moon-kyeong turned away, Hee-jin shouted from behind her.
Her words, accompanied by strong profanity, crushed Moon-kyeong’s ego, which had finally exploded.
“Seo Moon-kyeong, stop! Do you know that my dad is funding your dad’s politics?”
“…….”
“Why do you think Mom told you to get along with me? It’s obvious.”
The power and influence of the Jeseong Group, no matter what they did, held too much power over her.
Hee-jin’s father, who only had the appearance of a member of parliament, wasn’t the type to associate with.
Even if something happened to Moon-kyeong today in this mafia-infested place called Russia, Hee-jin wouldn’t face any consequences. That was painfully clear.
But should I kneel here? I just slapped her back. What am I supposed to do? What the hell is she going to do to me?
The tightness in her chest was suffocating, pressing down on her. Moon-kyeong had nowhere else to go. She gritted her teeth.
“Say what you want.”
Whether it’s the drink you were having, I’ll pour it for you as much as you want. Spit or none, I’ll even swallow that. Just say what you want.
“Get lost in front of me.”
Easier than I thought. Thanks, that’s what I wanted. As Moon-kyeong nodded, Lee Hee-jin gave a twisted smile, her words aimed squarely at Moon-kyeong’s heart.
“You’ll have to get the hell out of Russia, too.”
“What?”
“Get out of Moscow. Get lost in front of Senior. You will never come back here.”
That was the reason why Moon-kyeong left Moscow and moved to Germany.
Lee Hee-jin didn’t reveal everything to Hye-ran, but she demanded it boldly.
To have her daughter expelled from Russia.
This was devastating news for Hye-ran, who was looking forward to seeing Moon-kyeong as a principal dancer at Olga, Russia’s premier ballet company.
She never asked Moon-kyeong about what happened with Lee Hee-jin.
She never intended to ask her daughter the most basic question a mother should ask first..
The following year, Moon-kyeong had to welcome the New Year in Germany, and Hye-ran’s surveillance grew stronger day by day.
She couldn’t even enjoy the scent of the morning coffee she used to have every Wednesday.
Just when she could finally break free from the training regimen of the corps de ballet. Just when she was starting to adapt to life in the cold country and put vitality into her life. Everything went back to square one.
The price for slapping Hee-jin was too harsh. Only harsh times awaited her like a demon. Even her affair with Seojun came to an end.
Without even a simple goodbye, she was forced to leave his side.
