8. After dream
Life in the south was relatively satisfactory. Unlike the busy temple in the capital where there was no time to breathe, it was smaller in scale and rather peaceful.
Of course, the people here didn’t know yet that Rarien was a pushover. Rarien didn’t bother to show it and just handled the tasks given to her. Her daily routine ended relatively early in the afternoon, and the rest was free time.
Rarien would hole up in the library to read all the books she wanted to read, or take walks on the beach.
Perhaps because it was a small place. Although the salary was drastically reduced, the rules were not as strict as the previous temple, so she could often go out.
If I knew it was such a nice place, I should have moved earlier.
I always just thought about it, but couldn’t even dare. I’m glad I finally had the courage to do it.
Snacking at the market.
Buying a pretty hairpin.
Watching street performers.
Before going to bed. Rarien sat at her desk and crossed off three items from the wish list she had written in her notebook.
Starting this month, she reduced the money she sent to her family. It was inevitable as her salary had decreased, and she needed some extra funds to do what she wanted in her remaining time. Having reduced the remittance amount without notice, there must have been an uproar at home.
Sure enough. Recently, she received a hasty letter from her mother.
[Useless girl. How did I raise you? How dare you abandon your family? What about your brother Isaac?]
It was full of all kinds of resentment and criticism towards her.
Rarien hesitated and didn’t send a reply. She knew that words wouldn’t get through to a family that only demanded sacrifice for the sake of blood ties.
Money was needed to do what she wanted, and she felt she had done enough by sending that much to her family until now. Anyway, she was going to die soon. The rest should be handled by her brother Isaac, who claimed to be crazy about business but was actually just idling around gambling and drinking.
He said that business is originally done with other people’s money. He was desperate to squeeze his only younger sister.
Giving him money only made him lazier. She had always thought so but was too weak-hearted to act on it. Now she felt completely relieved.
She wanted to cut off support entirely, but that seemed too harsh, so she held back.
She had other siblings at home besides her brother. It seemed better to give them time to prepare for her absence.
Anyway, there wasn’t much time left. She didn’t want to waste emotions and time on such negative conversations.
Rarien put on the hairpin she bought at the general store today and looked at herself in the mirror from various angles. It wasn’t expensive, but she would only wear it before bed and put it away again….
Thinking of it as a gift to herself, she was quite pleased with it. Today, she also bought shaved ice from a street vendor and watched the acrobats’ performances among the crowd.
Perhaps because there wasn’t much time left. The ordinary everyday life felt most special to her.
Rarien fiddled with the zinnia’s flower petals. 55 days. Already half had passed, and only about two months remained. Every day was precious. Rarien closed the notebook after writing down the date as if recounting the remaining time, then opened the back page. And she started drawing with conté as her hand moved.
“Hmm.”
After roughly finishing, Rarien stared at it for a while and thought of a few fitting titles.
[A Night of Ecstasy with Nicky]
[A Portrait of Nicky Drenched in Passion]
[Nicholas, Strong and Long-lasting]
After s*x, her thoughts must have been completely corrupted, as she couldn’t think of anything but such lewd titles.
She wondered why, but at this moment, looking at what she had drawn of the most memorable thing, it was Nicholas’s face when he was sexually aroused.
‘I’m crazy, I’m insane.’
Rarien knocked her rotten head a couple of times and closed the notebook.
‘I’m completely perverted and beyond help.’
In fact, she wanted to draw his perfect chest, his rare b*ttocks, and his beautiful c*ck too, but she held back.
She couldn’t taint her beautiful memories with Nicholas by indulging in her ugly desires. Rarien flopped down on the bed as if to shake off the dirty thoughts.
‘I wonder how His Excellency is doing.’
Before bed, she always thought about Nicholas Reinhart. Even when she tried not to think about him, he kept coming to mind.
It had already been a month since she came to the south. Everything that happened with him felt like a distant dream.
‘He must have completely forgotten someone like me anyway.’
He’s such a busy person, and he wanted to return to his original daily life back then. He must be doing well. I’m doing okay too, after all.
That night, it felt like she was possessed by a demon, but now that the shaking presence was gone, she was sure he had regained his angelic, gentle appearance as if nothing had happened.
‘I hope he’s happy.’
Like herself, who had become a little happier here. Rarien prayed for Nicholas Reinhart’s well-being, clasping her hands together as if in prayer.
After being lost in thought for a moment, Rarien fumbled for something under her pillow. It was <A Night at the Immoral Temple>.
Before leaving, she received five books Sera Evotte recommended, which she had borrowed, as a farewell gift. Among them, Rarien’s favorite was undoubtedly <A Night at the Immoral Temple>.
When she thought of Nicky, it was tempting. She thought of reading it again before bed today.
“Whew, this is crazy.”
As expected, it’s a masterpiece. She never got tired of it no matter how many times she read it. Rarien lay on her stomach on the bed, tapping her feet for a while, then sprawled out.
And after hesitating for a moment, she searched for something deep in the bedside table. Then she took out something wrapped in layers of precious silk.
It was Rarien’s glass husband, ‘Big Nicholas’.
When leaving the capital’s temple, she stopped by a magic tool shop introduced by Sera. It was a place that operated secretly, making anything you wanted and guaranteeing complete anonymity.
Rarien ordered ‘Big Nicholas’, molded after Nicholas’s d*ck. Since she was quite talented in drawing, she could easily place the order. Sera paid for the cost.
It was made of very hard glass material so it could be used hygienically. Since then, she had been using her glass husband three or four times a week.
Please take care of me today too, honey.
Rarien kissed Big Nicholas with a smack and put it inside her panties. Then she rubbed the split of her p*ssy with it in a sawing motion, recalling her intercourse with Nicholas Reinhart.
Perhaps because she was excited after reading an erotic book and reminiscing about hot memories, she was already wet, with her love juices seeping out. Every time she rubbed, there was a squelching, wet sound. Rarien quickly took off her panties as they were getting in the way.
Reading <A Night at the Immoral Temple>, recalling her beautiful memories with Nicholas Reinhart, and receiving Big Nicholas. She doesn’t do it every day, but it was Rarien’s favorite self-comforting time of the day.
Some might call it lewd or disgusting, but… this body will rot when I die anyway. It’s not harming anyone else. She wasn’t ashamed at all.
‘I want to be held by Nicky again.’
Her mind was full of lecherous thoughts. Like Nicholas said, she felt like she was possessed by a demon. It’s good that she left the capital. If she had stayed, she would have somehow made excuses and pounced on him again.
