“That’s enough,” I retorted.
The man slowly removed his hood, as if he hadn’t heard me. I had to resist the urge to scream when I saw his appearance.
The man with the vivid red hair, eyes a shade lighter than that, and a grin on his face was none other than one of the male leads from my novel, the villainous chancellor.
Why are you here?!
“Why are you rejecting me so forcefully? Do you know me?”
The villainous chancellor approached me slowly. I wanted to step back, but I couldn’t move as if frozen by his persistent gaze.
“Why do you act like you don’t know me?” He murmured seductively.
The man pulled me closer, pressing his lips against my neck and whispering softly so that the movement of each syllable made my skin tingle. “I’m Seth.”
A chill ran down my spine as my suspicions were confirmed.
Seth Milan, one of the men who swam in the heroine’s fishpond.
The family was involved in treason and collapsed, so the mother ran away and the father went crazy constantly plotting to kill this man, his own son.
Thanks to his shattered personality, he cunningly devised a plan to be deliberately adopted by another family and then to be adopted by a more prestigious one, climbing the social ladder.
With his brilliant mind, he rose through the ranks to the position of chancellor at a young age.
The problem is that he is a person who wouldn’t hesitate to cut someone’s throat or shed blood and tears if it serves his purpose.
He is the one with the worst personality among the male leads in this novel!
God, I’d rather have met the leader of the knights than meet the villainous chancellor.
Beep, beep, beep!
A red alert began to sound in my mind.
“I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else,” I said anxiously.
“I’ve come to the right person.” As his hot breath grazed my ear, I felt a shiver. A strange scent filled my nose. “I was looking for you.”
“Customer…. No, manager. This is clearly crossing a line—”
“The one who made me.”
The hand that was about to push away the man’s chest stopped of its own accord.
“The one who wrote this story.”
‘Breathe, dammit,’ – I couldn’t breathe.
“The writer.”
Thin lips grazed my earlobe, but I wasn’t about to do anything.
“My master,” the man whispered slowly, as if enjoying my reaction.
The man, who had been savoring the silence, slowly straightened his body and stared at me. He gently lifted his trademark smile, parting his thin lips.
“Well, shall I give you another choice now?”
Taking my stiffened hand in his own, he slowly brought his lips to my palm, taking advantage of the height difference between us to brush them upwards in an almost-licking motion. I wondered if he could feel my pulse beating against the soft flesh of his mouth through my heated skin.
“Do you want to continue being a shop assistant and be subject to my whims, or…..” His voice, transmitted through my palm, felt secretive, as if it was coming from right beside me. “Do you want to have everything I have, including me?”
I opened my mouth to speak, but no voice came out.
“Answer me, my master.”
Despite the smile on his lips, his crimson eyes flickered dangerously.
I’ve been living in poverty to avoid losing my life, and now the characters came to find me.
Oh, life.
“Well, let’s go.”
If the opponent is Seth Milan, there is only one choice.
“Seth,” I shouted confidently, “Let’s go to your house. No, my house. It’s yours, so it’s mine, right?”
Be strong!
Well, being strong doesn’t always work, but I can’t show weakness. This man treats weakness like a bug.
“Of course,” Seth’s lips curved into an arc. He took off his cloak and wrapped it around me.
After tightly wrapping me so that no one could see me, Seth and I headed towards the carriage that was already waiting outside the shop.
It was only after we sat down, side by side, that Seth took off his hood and simply looked at me without saying a word.
Now, a question.
I faced an opponent whose life I had ruined with my own hands. Guess how I felt facing him?
“Why?” I murmured. “Why?” So much was contained in just one word.
“Because I like it.” The man narrowed his eyes and smiled. “I’m thrilled to finally meet you.”
This person says he is glad to meet me. What does it mean?
“Hoho, hohohoho. Is that so?”
Is it like “I’ll kill you”? Perhaps it also implies “I won’t kill you easily.”
“Really, I’m glad,” he insisted. The criminally handsome man discreetly placed his hand on the back of mine and clasped it.
Our faces seemed to get closer and closer in the enclosed space, and then the carriage rattled, shook, and I suspected that something may have brushed my lips.
“You see, Master.”
“Huh?”
I wanted to tell him to drop the damned title, but I didn’t know what he thought of me, so I held my tongue.
“I hope you like it, Master.”
“What?”
“The house we’re going to live in together.”
Wait, is he not planning to kill me right away? No, is he going to chop off my head and put it on display at his house?
The man with a bright smile leaned his head against my shoulder.
The place where I was located was in the outskirts of the capital, while Seth lived in the heart of the city, so the scenery outside the carriage had a completely different atmosphere.
“No.”
But as soon as I lifted the curtain to look outside, Seth stopped me. Wrapping his free hand around my shoulder, he whispered softly, “I wish your face to remain unseen.”
“Sure,” I nodded, trying to act nonchalant.
It was a strange request, but I had no choice. I didn’t know what this man would do if I resisted.
Soon, we arrived at a large, imposing mansion. The brown brick walls emitted an unexpected warmth.
I think I roughly wrote, ‘The villainous chancellor, Seth, used the last remaining mansion of Duke Milan.’
So, this must be Duke Milan’s mansion then. A family with one of the longest histories in the Empire, and a family with many secrets.
Seth took my hand and led me somewhere.
“It’s quiet here.”
There was no sign of people in such a large mansion. Even considering Seth’s secretive nature, this was too much.
Almost artificial.
“I told them not to come out because they will be in trouble if someone sees you. I tend to care about my employees.”
“What does that have to do with people seeing me?”
Sish narrowed his eyes and chuckled, “Those who see you must have their eyes gouged out.”
Could it be that I was also not allowed to see outside the carriage for a similar reason?
I felt more than a little creeped out.
Seth took my hand and led me up to the second floor. Among the five floors of the building, the second floor was where this man frequented the most. It was where his bedroom and study were located.
I was puzzled by my encounter with the chancellor but seeing the scene I had imagined firsthand filled me with excitement.
So, the room with the red door is the room of the villainous chancellor?
Of all the colors, red was chosen for a reason. To remind him of the blood on his hands.
Um, but, Mr. Chancellor, why did you open the red door?
“This will be the room you’ll use from now on. Do you like it?”
What you say, Mr. Chancellor, is even more disturbing.
‘This is your room.’
Another red warning bell rang loudly in my ears.
“Mmm… it’s nice,” I stalled, “But it looks like someone else’s room.”
“Hmm, it’s nice that you noticed.”
Seth lightly wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and brushed his nose against my neck.
This man is really shameless when it comes to physical affection. It’s incredibly natural.
I probably should have pushed him away, but in truth, due to my confusion, my thought process wasn’t functioning properly.
“Here, this is my room.”
Did you confirm it just now? It’s your room and you want to share it?
If he had denied it, it would have been scary in a different way.
“My bedroom, my study. This will be the room you’ll use from now on.”
“Hahaha, so you’re using a different room then?” I asked, pretending to laugh nonchalantly. At least he wouldn’t notice that I was breaking out in a cold sweat, right?
“No.”
The alarm began to beep more intensely.
It went from “beep, beep, beep” to “Eeeeeeek!”
Although Seth may play with women, he never brings them into his own room. No, he never even lets them inside the house in the first place. Playing outside had never held any deeper meaning.
“We’ll share it.”
“What?”
“You and I are going to share this room.”
“Oh, really? Then I’ll sleep on that sofa over there, and you can have the bed.”
“What are you talking about?” Seth laughed as if it was all very amusing. “You decided to have me, didn’t you? Right?”
“Well, uh, yes?”
“So, I want you to have me day and night.”
His voice, breathless and whispery, clung to my entire body.
“And to do that, you’re going to have to stick with me, aren’t you?”
“S-Seth.”
