Villain Eaten By The Hero - Chapter 14
Seo, who had repeatedly cut off Belze’s words, stared at her intently without breaking his gaze.
Although he looked resolute, like a teenage boy, when he said he wanted to kiss her, it was still fascinating how his shyness was nowhere to be found.
Belze realized that she had never seen Seo showing any signs of shyness, with his statue-like, firm face. She felt it was truly unfair because she, on the other hand, was acting like a lovesick fool at the mention of wanting to kiss.
Belze found Seo’s request strange.
He wanted to kiss me? Surely, he must have some ulterior motive.
Maybe he’s actually not on off-duty and is working undercover, then suddenly a camera will appear and he’ll shout that it was a hidden camera prank, or maybe he made a bet with his coworkers.
“Just say it’s okay.”
Unable to organize her thoughts, neither accepting nor rejecting, Seo urged Belze once again.
The way he commanded her, like an officer to a fresh recruit, felt impatient with his extremely stern face.
…Come to think of it, have we ever kissed before?
Belze searched her memories, but she couldn’t recall any experiences of them kissing. But now that she was thinking about it, she had a feeling that she’d knew what Seo would say next time.
“Okay.”
He’d probably say ‘Can’t you do it?’ and try to agitate me with words.
Seo would probably try to pry into Belze’s thoughts and rather than hearing such words, it would be better for her to give in and offer a kiss.
It’s not like Seo’s lips are contagious or will wear out. Besides, Seo’s the one who requested it, so if anyone should feel embarrassed, it would be him.
It’s certainly not because of reasons like the actors in the movie kissing elegantly made her excited, or because the couple in the back was making out so sloppily that it made her curious.
And of course, it’s not because she felt a tickling sensation while they were walking on the same path either, though she wasn’t entirely sure herself why she followed him, but anyway, it’s not because of that. With that in mind, Belze lifted her head slightly.
As soon as she said ‘Okay’, Seo’s hand grabbed the back of her head. His hand, which could easily crush steel, gently supported her head as their lips met.
His wet lips were soft, and his nose touching hers wasn’t as stiff as she had imagined. When their tongues lightly touched, she could taste the beer he had just been drinking. She had expected the taste of caramel popcorn he was eating, but it seemed to have already faded away.
Curious about what his face looked like during their kiss, she deliberately kept her eyes open, but she couldn’t make out anything. Their faces were too close, and it felt like they were even stealing each other’s breaths. If she breathed, it seemed like their bodies would touch, so she held her breath, and Seo seemed to do the same as she couldn’t feel his breath.
Thinking about their breaths, she became conscious of their noses slightly brushing, and she also noticed when her hair got entangled with Seo’s fingers.
Turning her head slightly was probably an instinctive reaction and then Seo’s other hand touched her waist as well.
But those feelings quickly subsided, leaving only a warm sensation as evidence of a fleeting memory.
Seo pulled away and wiped the saliva that connected their lips from kissing. The chilly night air swept through the gap between them.
“That’s enough now.”
The sight of Seo wiping his lips with his index finger comes into view. Belze had imagined him looking pleased, asking how it was, but what she saw was a completely different look on Seo’s face.
His lips were pressed together, and his gaze was fixed on the asphalt far in the distance.
Just as Belze was about to ask what was wrong, Seo swiftly turned his body, concealing even the hard-to-read expression he had before.
“I’m leaving.”
He leaped to his feet and disappeared in the blink of an eye, just like he did at work.
Left alone on the streets where drunkards roamed, Belze blankly stared at the sky where Seo had disappeared. Two empty beer cans rolled around near her feet.
“I must have been out of my mind.”
Belze muttered after a long while.
<<The Dream of the Dreamer>>
Belze had been defeated.
Belze had been defeated.
Seo pounced on her like he was in a relentless attack, leaving no room for Belze to catch a breath. It should have been her who should feel bewildered after the kiss, yet for some reason, Seo was the one getting angry, while maintaining his stern expression throughout.
Belze had been defeated again.
*
Everything is a mess.
Belze objectively and coldly evaluated her current situation. To put it more bluntly, she was on the verge of losing control.
An unquenchable desire had ignited in her, and the fact that she harbored such feelings made her feel like she was going crazy.
Belze could not accept her current situation she was in. She desperately wanted to ignore the desire that boiled in her.
It was the first time she’d experienced something like this since joining the evil organization. Ever since becoming a villain, she had always remained true to herself, breaking free from the constraints and shackles of the world.
Even though she may leave behind unattainable dreams as hidden desires, she confronted her inner desires with honesty and integrity. She admitted that deep inside, she yearned for an idealistic desire where everyone would acknowledge and admire her. She didn’t deny such idealistic thoughts like that, instead, embracing them fully and sincerely.
But today was different. She wanted to crush that guy with all her might. She wanted to say, with intense emotions, how he was such a bastard and would be better that he should die quickly.
“No……. No, no, no, there’s no way I’m thinking about…….”
No, no, no. Such desires shouldn’t exist in the first place. Belze said ‘No’ repeatedly, chanting a mantra of denial inwardly, but it only lasted for 10 seconds before the desire resurfaced again.
Under the nose, above the chin, in the center of the cheeks, at the lower part of the face, outside of the tongue and teeth.
In simpler terms, it was about the lips, the kiss, occupying her mind again.
“I said no…”
She slammed her forehead against the desk with a loud noise, but the pain couldn’t dispel her out of her reverie.
All she could think about was the kiss, and she was dying to kiss him back. The unromantic and unremarkable kiss they shared not long ago had set her heart on fire, reigniting her suppressed emotions.
Damn it, how dare he!
Belze tried to suppress her angry words, but her anger was boiling inside her, and she couldn’t find any sign of improvement. After four days of simmering in her emotions, the symptoms had become almost catastrophic.
She wanted to kiss. She didn’t need a romantic atmosphere. Just a simple kiss would do. She wanted to throw away context and rationality, forget about laws and ethics, and just share a deep and passionate kiss without caring about the other person’s consent or intention. In other words, she just wanted to press her lips against someone without any hesitation.
Well, does it not matter? In novels, even enemies or rivals often exchange kisses without any reason.
Before she knew it, Belze was blurring the lines between common sense and reality. She was so deeply engrossed in a single thought that social norms faded away. That’s how much she craved for a kiss.
With whom?
“….”
This question was crucial. If she merely wanted to kiss someone without any ulterior motive, she could have grabbed anyone nearby and kissed them.
A chill was slowly creeping up from to her forehead against the desk. But, Belze couldn’t be bothered to lift her head.
The question of whom she wanted to kiss weighed heavily on her. Her lips twitched, but she didn’t know if it was a smile creeping up or a frown pulling down. She didn’t want to show it to anyone.
There was no one else in the lab but her, but it was still possible that someone could come in unexpectedly. The contours of her face might faintly appear on the monitor. That’s why Belze didn’t want to lift her head. Because…
…Seo.
Because she wanted to kiss Seo.
“Kim Seo, you asshole.”
Tears of frustration threatened to fall. Her face was already burning with anger, and her lips, pressed by her upper teeth, felt like they might bleed.
Kim Seo, it’s all because of that jerk. The jerk ruined me.
“You jerk!”
How unjust it felt. If Seo hadn’t been the object of her cursed desire, she would have either run up to someone else and kissed them, or paid them off or pushed them to resolve it. But because it was precisely Seo, she couldn’t do any of that.
She might not be familiar with the world’s ethics and morals, but her pride was still intact. If she were to kiss Seo in any way, her pride would surely shatter into pieces.
The thought of him looking down on her arrogantly and asking, ‘Did you want to kiss me that badly?’ made her shudder. She would rather be humiliated in front of people than face such a situation.
“How long are you going to stick to the desk like a gum? You’re in the way, so get out of here.”
While Belze was muttering to herself, Hyena kicked open the lab door and grabbed Belze’s chair, shaking it. Her body swayed back and forth, but Belze didn’t yield to Hyena’s aggression.
“Unnie, your condition is no joke. Don’t act all stubborn and go away.”
“…..”
“I can’t do my research because you’re stuck here. Do we have time for this right now? Don’t you know that the boss is already breathing down our necks?”
“He was all over me two days ago, don’t you think I didn’t know that?”
“No, if you’re that fired up, you should be doing your job. Why are you so hung up on him? That guy has a complicated nature.”
“Don’t just label him as someone with a complicated nature and leave it at that. He’s someone who messes with people on multiple levels.”
“Anyway, because of your infatuation with him, you pissed off the boss four times in a row, got a warning, and now you’re slacking off at work because of your unfulfilled desires? Come on, Belze, you’ve really let yourself go.”
“Who said I have unfulfilled desires! Who said such nonsense!”
Her head, which had been glued to the desk the whole time, suddenly shot up. Her face, which had been pale for days, was now as fiery as her hair.
Her face was filled with a mixture of embarrassment and vitality, as if she were a deflated beach volleyball that had suddenly regained its air. While it was mainly embarrassment, it was so vivid and overflowing that one could almost call it vitality.
“Wh-who… who said I have unfulfilled desires!”
Her crouched fist made a thud sound as it struck the desk.
“Stop pretending like it’s nothing. You’re overreacting so much, it’s not like you’re completely innocent either. You look like you’ve been hungry for a man ever since you slept with him.”
“I was taken advantage of!”
The phrase ‘slept with’ seemed to be a bit too intimate for her liking.
Hyena shrugged her shoulders and leaned forward.
“Yeah, you got taken advantage of. Anyway, it happened once. That means you must be curious about it during the night too. Let’s be honest, Belze. Everyone has desires, even if the circumstances aren’t to your liking, don’t deny your desires.”
“….”
“It’s natural. He must be good at it but don’t make a big deal out of it. Technique has nothing to do with character.”
Although there was no connection between the two, Belze didn’t feel like complimenting his technique.
As Belze fell silent and narrowed her eyes with discomfort, Hyena embraced her from behind. Hyena ruffled her hair, burying her face on Belze’s shoulder.
