Villain Eaten By The Hero - Chapter 29
CHAPTER 29
“Ah, I should have been more careful with my words….”
She felt embarrassed and sorry for completely ruining the carefully crafted atmosphere.
If the person who heard those words had been her, by now, instead of awkwardly walking through the hallway, she would probably be burying herself a corpse. Huhuhu, she hoped the sea would swallow up her body, so it’s convenient to say the least…
And instead of saying anything in response, Hugo remained silent. Sadly, he was quite the stoic man. Unfortunately, it left a huge scratch on the man’s heart.
Belze paced the hallway, trying to think of a way to apologize to him.
‘I was just surprised. Actually, you’re quite big!’
That sounded like something a middle schooler would say.
‘I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to imply that you’re small, you’re objectively on the average. I was just surprised because you’re smaller than Seo.’
This wasn’t an apology, and why mention Seo?
‘I’ve only ever seen exaggerated bodies in porn. You’re not really that small. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings.’
That was the best she could come up with.
She couldn’t say he was big as an apology, so she had to mumble something like ‘you’re not that small’. She didn’t know what the standard size was, but anyway, ‘you’re not that small’ would be fitting for the substantial and burdensome thing between the legs.
Funny enough, as things turned out this way, she kept thinking about Seo naked. She tried to push the thought somehow, but it ended up making her thoughts more secretive.
She can’t believe how messed up everything is, and now she would have to find another man who could help her forget about Seo.
It was then that she thought she was hallucinating in the moment. Seo appeared in her field of vision.
Seo, wearing checkered pattern, sprinting down the hallway with a ship staff member on his tail.
Because they bumped into each other too frequently inside the ship, she thought it was just a hallucination. Belze attributed it to the lingering thoughts of Seo and merely blinked her eyes.
But then, Seo stopped in front of her and began to interrogate her again. He was real.
“Why are you here? It can’t be your doing right?”
“What’s with you? I’m Belze, and this is reality.”
Afraid that he might be mistaken for a dream, Seo firmly grabbed Belze’s shoulder.
“I know that! Who else could look like you? What are you doing here? Why are you dressed like that?”
“Why are you running into me here? Are you following me around or something?”
“You think I’d do something creepy like that? I’m just keeping an eye on you from behind in case you cause trouble.”
“You’re a stalker!”
“Lawful surveillance! Official duty!”
“This is abuse of power! This is tyranny!”
It is indeed despicable. The hero’s actions were meant to enforce justice, and the hero’s stalking was considered lawful surveillance as part of official duty! They were doing the same thing, but they seemed to think they were better than others. Seo, flipping Belze’s world upside down, breathed heavily as he argued.
“Anyway, that’s not important. Are you behind the engine malfunction?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know.”
Judging from his shortness of breath and the way his eyes darted between Belze and the end of the hallway, he seemed quite desperate and was obviously in a hurry. Even though Belze didn’t know what was going on, she could tell that something had come up that required his immediate attention.
If she had to make a guess, it was likely a criminal case happening inside this place, or a villain causing a disturbance. The latter was more plausible since unlike Belze and her group, who had pretended to be on vacation from the start, Seo and his group seemed out of place for a vacation.
Recalling that Seok had kept the villains in check from the beginning, it was likely that they were on official business, in the middle of law enforcement. Something must have happened, because there’s someone following Seo from a distance and shouting, “We need to get to the engine room quickly!”
This was not something Belze wanted to get involved in. She raised both her hands in a surrendering gesture and claimed her innocence.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m innocent… Gah!”
Without any consideration, Seo lifted Belze like a sack of rice and draped her over his shoulders.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and resumed running with her. Due to his speed, her body swayed uncontrollably, her stomach aching from being pressed on his shoulders, and her mind scrambling with the fear of falling.
“Hey! I’m innocent! Can you at least respect the principle of innocence until proven guilty?”
“Not for villains!”
“I may not have human rights, but does it make sense logically that I would cause trouble while wearing only a robe?”
Belze didn’t expect Seo, who suspected and scrutinized everything as if it was a villainous act, to trust her. But, logically speaking, a woman walking down the hallway with her legs and neckline exposed while wearing only a robe seemed unlikely to be the culprit.
Seo adjusted his hand position upon hearing Belze mention the robe. The hand that was originally around her waist moved to her thigh, creating an even more awkward sensation. It seemed like friction was causing the robe to ride up.
Seo, noticing Belze’s bare leg extending from under the robe, asked.
“Are you only wearing the robe?”
“I’m wearing panties!”
Belze used her knee to jab hard at Seo’s left ribcage. He made a grunting sound, and his body wobbled slightly, but he didn’t stop running.
“Only panties?”
He didn’t stop asking.
“I’m wearing a bra too! Of course, I’m wearing underwear when I go out! Hey, be careful! This robe is easy to slip out of! Oops, ahh!”
The nuance of the question didn’t seem to contain any particular malice. Rather, they had the feeling of disbelief, as if Seo couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
But no matter how embarrassing the question was, Belze used her knees to hit Seo’s chest and her hands to slap his back.
She had every reason to fear his retaliation, but the thought of being carried piggyback-style across the hallway in such a humiliating manner was too much to bear.
Sharing all of this with Seo only added to her embarrassment.
“Hey, how far are you going to take me? Aren’t you going to let me go?”
Whether Belze said anything or not, Seo continued down the stairs without letting her go. The staff member following behind was huffing and puffing, wishing they would go at a slower pace.
“They said there’s a problem in the engine room.”
“Then you have to call the repair crew….”
“To be honest, I’m suspecting you.”
What a suspicious person!
Belze had a long history of being suspicious herself, so she refrained from cursing him out loud. But she silently criticized Seo as a suspicious person himself. If he were a villain, such shamelessness would be a prerequisite.
“I said I’m innocent. I told you I was going back to my room earlier.”
“You’re a good liar, you know.”
“I’m not lying.”
“You’re lying, that’s why you’re dressed like that as if you’re really wandering in the hallway. If you were noy lying, you’d be in your cabin by now, right?”
“That’s because….”
“That’s what it is.”
“…….”
It wasn’t an assumption or a belief, it was an insistence, a sense that it had to be so, an obstinacy that declared he wouldn’t bend his opinion.
This bothered Belze a little, and besides, it wasn’t entirely untrue, so she kept her mouth shut. For a moment, she just let their bodies touch as they moved in silence, and let Seo’s hand rest on her thigh.
It wasn’t long before they arrived at the engine room. At roughly the same time, the staff member, presumably the one who requested the hero’s assistance, arrived and reluctantly opened the door.
“Le-Let’s go… let’s go inside. Uh, I’ll guide you, so please stay alert. There might be a villain.”
The staff member led Seo through the clutter and noise into the engine room.
From what Belze overheard while being carried, it seemed that the staff member had come to request the hero’s assistance because villains had taken over the engine room. It was an exquisite coincidence that he ran into Belze on his way to the engine room. However, Seo thought that Belze might be behind it, so he brought her in with him.
Belze understood the situation, but it was nothing but trouble for her. Belze protested, shaking Seo’s head, who still hadn’t put her down.
“What if there really are villains in there?”
“Join your friends.”
“If there are villains, you think we’re going to be friends right away? I’m in danger! And this is…”
“You think I’m weak enough to protect you?”
Seo growled softly. It was a powerful statement, one he shouldn’t have said to her. Belze, feeling overwhelmed by his words, couldn’t continue protesting.
“Are you going to ……protect me?”
“……if necessary.”
Seo had a moment of realization but corrected himself too late. Belze felt herself soften and had her own moment of realization, but it was also too late.
Even the staff noticed a strange feeling creeping up on them and caught on quickly. He stopped what he was doing in guiding them through the dark engine room and looked up at her.
“You’re quite an interesting hostage. You seem suspicious, but also quite friendly… Which side are you on?”
It was a question tinged with personal curiosity. Occasionally, some people treated heroes and villains as if they were gossip material.
Seo, annoyed, pressed Belze’s thigh slightly harder with the inner side of his arm, signaling her not to say anything.
“What do you want me to do?”
Belze complied with Seo’s wishes.
“Just in case something unsightly happens, it might be troublesome.”
“Like what?”
“If you were allies, you might end up doing terrible things.”
Before she could say anything else, a metal plate fell from above. a steel plate suddenly fell from above, trapping Belze and Seo inside. In the cramped and complicated space with engines on three sides, they found themselves stuck behind the steel plate. It was the only exit, and it was blocked by the steel plate.
Belze, who had suddenly found herself trapped inside the fallen metal plate, stared expressionlessly at it. She tapped it smartly to gauge its thickness. It was about 4 cm thick.
“As I said earlier.”
“Oh”
