Villain Eaten By The Hero - Chapter 60
CHAPTER 60
Seo, pale and visibly disgusted, remained silent. Sensing his discomfort, the woman cautiously gauged his reaction. She took a step closer, lowering her voice.
“Um… you’re not going to answer?”
“…”
“I understand the feeling, but… please hang in there. I won’t tell anyone.”
The citizen’s sympathetic concern was bone-chilling, but Seo couldn’t easily believe or let go of his pride. If that were possible, he wouldn’t have been embroiled in controversies about his character from the beginning.
However, looking around, no sharp ideas came to mind. Considering the hostages, leaping over the wall was not an option, and staying in this place was not feasible either.
To solve the trap, the mastermind somewhere in this maze needed to be found, and whether he liked it or not, it was Seo’s role to look.
When he thought about it, it didn’t seem like a terribly embarrassing, invasive question. It wouldn’t reveal other private matters since it was about a preferred position. For instance, something like ‘Who was the last person you slept with’ would be a different story.
The thought of disclosing such facts in front of a stranger, someone who knew nothing about it, made Seo’s spine tingle. Somehow, he had to get past this gate and find someone nearby who would be more likely to keep quiet, to be his next partner.
Eventually, with as much self-conscious effort as he could muster, Seo answered the question.
“…Facing each other, sitting down.”
Ding-dong.
“Top.”
Ding-dong.
Once the truth was realized and the door opened, they exchanged surprised glances, each finding the other’s reaction unexpected. Then, realizing that the other person probably felt the same, they awkwardly exchanged greetings.
As soon as the greetings were over, Seo swiftly left his position. If he had to go through this experience several times, if the questions to come would be more personal and agonizing than this one, he felt like he might die.
He needed someone he could trust, someone he didn’t mind telling the truth to. In the worst-case scenario, capturing some small-time villain, using them, and then beating his head until he forgot the memories might be an option.
Since this area was where he had been fighting, there should be colleagues or support staff for cleanup. Or even a small fry from the villain organization.
In the next section of the maze, Seo caught sight of familiar faces who looked as if they were ready to kill.
“Mr. Seo!”
Seok, who had joined forces with him recently to prepare for the possibility of encountering the boss of Cheonha.
“Oh my god, you’ve run into Seo. What’s with your luck today?”
Hyena had just come through the door.
And next to her was Belze.
*
<Have you ever had s*x outside?>
“Yes.”
Ding-dong.
“Yup.”
Ding-dong.
<What is the name of the person you last slept with?>
“Kim Seo.”
Ding-dong.
“I don’t know. Now that I think about it, I didn’t ask his name.”
Ding dong.
<Have you ever used tools to enhance a relationship?>
“No.”
Ding dong.
“Yes.”
Ding dong.
Belze and Hyena quickly broke through the door. So far, they’d only been asked questions they both knew the answers to and for Belze, it wasn’t embarrassing as long as the other person was Hyena.
It was a good thing she had fallen in with Hyena. At this rate, they’d find Lotte before the boss, who thought they’d been taken hostage, lost.
When they passed through the third door with high spirits, they and saw an unrecognizable man in the distance.
Kim Seo, the purpose of Belze’s scouting today, approached them with a frightening face and then grabbed their arms. With an urgent face, he poured out words like a machine gun.
“It’s an exquisite coincidence that we’re meeting here, I won’t question why you’re here, so just shut up and cooperate for once.”
“Why?!”
Belze shouted, bordering on screaming, because it was Hyena’s arm that Seo lifted again.
And Seo, who looked just as nervous as Belze, turned his eyes to her.
“Are you…….”
The words left out so much.
Suddenly, Belze’s mind flashed back to the ominous image she had when she met Lotte. Belze’s complexion visibly paled her imagination increased.
Belze, who had become pale, raised her voice louder than Seo.
“Why Hyena! Why Hyena! You didn’t do anything with her! Why! Why! Why!”
Stomping her feet while holding Hyena’s arm, which he grabbed, Seo soon let her go. But judging by the way his lips were pursed, it seemed that he wouldn’t change his opinion.
Belze pushed Seo’s arm and inserted herself between Hyena and him.
“No! You can’t have her! No!”
It seemed like a nice friendship, but he didn’t have a care in the world for Hyena.
“I’m not doing anything! I’m just borrowing her for a moment!”
“Look, can you please don’t get me involved in any of your drama? I don’t mind sleeping with guys, but getting involved in a love triangle is downright d*sgusting.”
“I don’t know why you went to that woman, but that’s the right thing to say. Mr. Seo, if you need a partner, go with me.”
Seok chimed in on this mess. Seeing him for the second time, Belze and Hyena glanced at him as if he were an annoying human being and stopped. Seo stared at him for a few more seconds, but the end result was the same.
“No… I don’t want to.”
“What?”
“I can’t go with you hyung. I won’t go. I can’t.”
As Seo’s complexion turned more ashen, Seok begged him with a face as if the sky were falling.
“This… can’t be. Was our relationship only supposed to be that way?”
“That’s right. Was it only supposed to be that way? You’ve never even had a proper fight with Hyena, yet you’re choosing her over this stuck-up, self-righteous hero?”
As Seok began to cling to Seo, Belze sided with him. If Belze couldn’t get away from Seo in front of Seok, it was at least better to separate him from Hyena.
When Seo pushed Seok’s arm out of the way so he could face Seok, Seok didn’t hide his despair.
“How can it be that even this cruel and conniving evildoer agree with me!”
“Hey, why are you cursing me for taking your side? Do you think I’m taking your side because you’re pretty, or because I want to go with Seo?”
“You think I don’t sense your sneakiness? That you’re trying to pry into Seo’s private life at a time like this!”
“Private life… ah.”
With a short sigh, a realization flowed into Belze’s mind. Belatedly, she realized why Seo was avoiding Seok with an embarrassed expression and why he was avoiding her as well.
Considering the questions that have been asked so far, what kind of question will come next?
And who can he reveal it to?
Normally, it would be a same-s*x friend, but when you have something to hide, it’s a different story. Belze and Seo, in front of the meticulous Seok, couldn’t possibly talk about their experiences.
Encountering a question like “<What is the name of the last person you slept with?>” would be disastrous. Regardless of personal feelings, it was at least a minimum disciplinary action, and at most, termination.
When Belze thought about it, she could understand why Seo wanted to choose Hyena.
Even after meeting with dozens of government officials, Hyena doesn’t use what happened in bed as a weakness. She uses the information she gets from them, but she doesn’t use their s*x life as a weakness.
Seo, at his level, would probably know such background details, so it seemed understandable that he chose Hyena after careful consideration.
However, even so, it didn’t make Belze heart feel light. She squinted her eyes sharply.
“…I won’t tell anyone else either.”
“….”
“…If you go with me, I’ll tell you mine too.”
“….”
“Then it’s fair, right? Hyena will tell me everything anyway.”
Trying to find someone else and avoid Seo’s guardrail, Hyena muttered,
“That’s not true.”
However, Seo and Belze were already having their own eye battle.
Rather than giving up on her stubbornness, Seo seemed to be deeply engrossed in a deliberation where he couldn’t say a word casually. It was like a storm raging in the ocean of his mind.
Seo could never tell Seok about it. If he went with Hyena, there would be less risk of it getting out, but Belze might hear about it, and most importantly, if he talks to someone else, it might make Belze uncomfortable.
