Crazy Match, Crazy Guy - CHAPTER 3 - Part 2
***
Opening her eyes, she was stunned by the absurdity of the situation. No matter how many times she rubbed his eyes and looked again, she was still in an unfamiliar room.
Moreover, the man approaching the bed in his casual attire was none other than Jang Tae Jin.
Where am I? Why am I here with him?
Pulling the blanket up to cover her herself, Wooyoung looked at him as he sat down on the bed.
“Did you sleep well?”
“What? Oh, well…….”
“Surely you don’t mean you can’t remember what happened yesterday, right?”
She remembered going to the karaoke room. And they sang there, followed by a kiss. That was all she recalled.
Did I sleep with this guy again? But if not, then how did I wake up in this unfamiliar bed, completely naked?
I must be crazy!
“Get cleaned up, and then we’ll have breakfast.”
“But where am I?”
“It’s my house.”
“Yours? Are you kidding? Why did you bring me here? What if your mother finds out?”
The only thing that was clear here was that her memory holds no recollection of the intense activities between them last night. Tae Jin felt a little unfair. She didn’t remember any of the good stuff.
With a somewhat distant expression, he explained.
“This isn’t my family home, it’s an apartment I got separately.”
“Ah…”
What’s with that relieved expression? It’s not like there’s any reason to be so uptight about it, especially since we’re going to get married anyway.
“Get cleaned up and come out.”
He left the room. Wooyoung lifted the covers and looked down at her crotch. The slight ache made it quite certain that something happened between them last night.
What were you thinking, Song Wooyoung?
After confirming that the door was closed, Wooyoung dashed to the bathroom. Since he had just finished showering, the bathroom was filled with humidity.
Entering the shower booth, she felt the tingling sensation in her groin and started her shower.
After putting on a robe, Wooyoung stood in front of the vanity and searched for some cleanser and lotion for her face. She had thought that there wouldn’t be any women’s cosmetics in a house where a man lived alone, but to her surprise, she found samples of women’s cosmetics in the drawer.
What’s this? You have all these women’s cosmetics here?
A strange feeling started to come over her.
She had naturally assumed there would be nothing related to women here, but now it was right there in front of her eyes.
After staring at the samples, Wooyoung puts them back in the drawer and applies Jang Tae Jin’s lotion to her face.
So, this was the smell coming from him, it must be this lotion.
She roughly dried her wet hair with a towel and returned to the room to find her clothes when Tae Jin appeared.
“Are you done yet?”
“I’m done. But my clothes…”
Her gaze went to the clothes spread out under the bed. The neatly laid out clothes were indeed the ones she had worn yesterday.
“Come out.”
Walking out of the bathroom, she finally realized that she was in a high-rise building.
The view of the Han River nearby was truly magnificent. Living in a high place had been a dream since she was a child, but fulfilling that dream hadn’t been easy. Unless she became independent, she would have to continue living under her father’s shadow.
“The view is really nice.”
After lingering by the living room window for a moment, she moved toward the kitchen. On the dining table, there was a bowl of yellow bean paste soup.
“Do you know how to cook?”
“It’s instant food. I’m too busy to cook.”
“Ah.”
Sitting down, Wooyoung looked at the dishes filled with quail eggs, perilla leaves, and flavored kimchi, then raised her head to him.
“Did you buy all these side dishes too?”
“Do you not eat them?”
“No, it’s not that. I was just wondering when you bought all this.”
“There’s a convenience store on the first floor.”
“Oh. But you didn’t have to do this when I could have skipped breakfast.”
“Your dad says you always eat breakfast, don’t you?”
My dad and this guy have no secrets. Why are they so close? I feel like they’re playing some kind of trick together, him and dad.
Biting her lip, Wooyoung picks up her cutlery and starts eating with him. Though it was an instant breakfast, it was more than enough to alleviate the effects of last night’s heavy drinking.
“Ah, I feel better now.”
She blurted out without thinking.
When she looked up, their eyes met.
“I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better.”
“Ah, well.”
“Do you remember what happened yesterday?”
The fork she was holding suspended in the air.
“Of course.”
Setting down her fork, she nodded.
“Then I suppose you remember what you said, too?”
“Huh?”
“You said you wanted to be sex partners with me.”
Her mouth, which had been casually chewing her food, froze like ice.
Oh my goodness! Did I really say that? Song Wooyoung, you’re insane!
“I’d feel bad if you didn’t remember.”
“…”
“I suggested we date for about a month, and you proposed to be my sex partner. Shall we try to find a compromise now?”
So, this is what it’s like to be hit in the back of the head with a frying pan. I can’t believe I brought up the topic of being sex partners.
After being busy all this time and never really managing to get a proper boyfriend, now I’m suddenly offering such a ffair to him. Damn, I’m a mess when it comes to him.
Looking at her eyes losing focus and trembling, one corner of Tae Jin’s lips curled up in a sneer.
You’re mine, and as long as I give you my heart, you’ll never be able to break away from me.
“What do you mean, a compromise?”
“I’m serious. How about living together for a month?”
“What, what are you saying? Living together?”
“Yes. I’ll convince your father.”
“Oh, no. There’s absolutely no way my dad would agree!”
“If he agrees?”
“He won’t, I’m telling you!”
“If he agrees, then we’ll live together?”
“There’s absolutely no chance that will happen.”
Her father, who had raised her with care and affection, wasn’t the type to easily agree with living together before marriage. He once had been upset for days when she mentioned wanting to be independent and had barely spoken to her. If she brought up the idea of living together, he would undoubtedly freak out.
“Don’t use the word ‘absolutely’ so lightly.”
“It’s just that the chances are practically nonexistent.”
“If I can make that slim possibility possible, then you’ll keep your word.”
“Sure.”
Wooyoung fidgeted with her cutlery, wincing at the heat rising to her face.
God, a sex partner?
Even if I was intoxicated, I had truly lost her mind. How could I say something like that?
She wiped her mouth with a napkin and watched him rise from his seat.
“I’m heading to work, so just stay comfortable and leave when you want.”
“I’m planning to leave right away.”
“Sure, whatever.”
Watching Tae Jin go to the sofa and pick up his jacket, her heart raced.
The striped light gray shirt with a perfect fit and the black suit pants that complemented his long legs seemed like they were tailor-made for him.
He really looks like a model. The more I looked at him, the more I wondered why he looked so good. Or Is there just something wrong with my eye?
“I’ll call you later.”
Staring at him with fascination, she saw him curled his lips before he disappeared from her sight. The sound of the front door closing brought her back to her senses.
“Whoa, wake up, Song Wooyoung.”
Wooyoung finished the rest of her meal and was about to clean up when she heard the front door open.
Why is he here again?
But it wasn’t Tae Jin who walked into the kitchen, but a middle-aged woman.
“Who…….”
Someone familiar with this place. Is she his housekeeper?
“Ah, I know the owner of this house.”
“Are you going to marry him?”
“What?”
“Her mother asked me to treat you well if I happen to meet you.”
“Ah…”
Unsure of what to do in this awkward situation, she hurriedly tried to move the dishes in her hands to the countertop when the middle-aged woman approached.
“Please give them to me. I’ll handle the cleanup.”
“We used quite a lot of dishes.”
“Oh, that’s no problem. This is what I do.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you.”
Stepping back from the kitchen and returning to the room, Wooyoung changed into her clothes and came out. She hadn’t expected someone working to show up.
My face must be all red and puffy now.
Taking the elevator downstairs, Wooyoung passed a young man standing in front of the apartment entrance holding an umbrella, and headed towards the main road.
