Chapter 9
“…What did you say?”
At those words, her mouth dropped open.
“You’re my lover?”
Judging by his eyes, he wasn’t lying. No matter how bad things had gotten, she hadn’t expected that—she was a married woman, after all. And she certainly hadn’t known that her lover was Eiran Levelox, one of the male leads.
The book only briefly mentioned Lilia in Damon’s memories, so she had no idea about these details. Lilia, with a sour expression, blurted out,
“Then let’s break up now.”
“…What?”
“I’m already a married woman. I don’t know what I was like before, but nothing good comes from getting involved with a married woman, right? I hope you meet someone else.”
Eiran, looking shocked, strode over and grabbed Lilia’s wrist tightly. She frowned and tried to pull away, but he wouldn’t let go.
“Why? What’s the reason?”
“Ah, wait!”
“Lilia, aren’t you being too mean?”
Her body trembled. When she read the book, the main character she disliked the most was Eiran Levelox. Lilia glared at him and kicked his shin. Even barefoot, she kicked hard, making Eiran flinch back with a shallow groan.
“You want to know why? First, you’re not my type. I don’t like those pretty boy faces.”
“What? What does that—”
“I’m not finished. I also hate how you always force things like this.”
“But you used to like—”
“I said I’m not done. Most importantly, I’m a married woman. I already have a husband, so why would you be my lover?”
“Heh…”
Eiran stammered, unable to speak properly. He awkwardly touched his face.
“You don’t like… my face?”
“That’s right, I don’t. I much prefer a rough, manly face like Damon’s to a pretty one.”
Lilia crossed her arms and looked Eiran up and down. His informal tone annoyed her, so she responded in kind, which felt satisfying. She’d felt it while reading the book, but Eiran was definitely not her type. Not only did he have a delicate face, but his body was slender as well. Lilia flopped back into the chair and waved her hand.
“We’re strangers now, so could you leave? My husband’s coming here.”
“…No way. How could you do this to me?”
Eiran bit his lip. Instead of leaving, he knelt on one knee in front of her. Then, with his large hand, he grasped her slender ankle.
“A-are you crazy?”
“It’s my fault. So please, don’t say you want to break up…”
Eiran lifted her foot and kissed it. At the soft touch on her foot, Lilia shuddered.
‘He’s lost his mind!’
Lilia looked down at him, appalled. She was about to shake him off when, unfortunately, the terrace door opened and Damon entered, holding two champagne glasses. He stopped in his tracks at the sight before him. Startled, she reflexively kicked Eiran.
“Ugh!”
Caught off guard, he fell backward, staring blankly at Lilia. Flustered, she hurried to help him up, but Damon was faster. Before Lilia could grab Eiran, Damon seized his arm and pulled him up. Damon’s face had turned hard.
“D-Damon, this is, um…”
“Oh, Duke Fortein. Long time no see.”
At Eiran’s words, Lilia silently screamed.
‘Why is he greeting him!’
Eiran was definitely missing a screw. Damon, who had been staring at Eiran, turned to ask her,
“Is he someone you know?”
“No!”
Lilia shook her head at lightning speed. Eiran, still held by Damon, put on a sorrowful expression and said,
“As I said earlier, even if you hate me, don’t pretend not to know me.”
“I really don’t know him!”
She was indignant. Damon looked at Eiran with a chilly gaze. Normally, someone would look away in fear, but Eiran just smiled and met his eyes. Damon knew who Eiran was.
Eiran Levelox. The Empire’s genius mage. And the secret lover of Lilia Fortein.
But judging by her reaction, it seemed they’d broken up. Now Damon understood her behavior. Maybe the reason she’d given before was just an excuse. Since she’d broken up with Eiran, she seemed to be acting more forward with him, which dampened his mood.
Damon tightened his grip on Eiran’s arm, almost tossing him aside. Red marks were left on Eiran’s wrist.
“Don’t mess with my wife. Get lost.”
“Oh, dear. That’s scary.”
When Damon frowned, Eiran flinched and stepped back.
“Alright, I’ll go, so don’t look at me so fiercely. Lilia, I’ll contact you.”
Before Lilia could say she didn’t need that, Eiran winked at her and left the terrace. A cold wind blew through the terrace. Damon just stared at her expressionlessly, lost in thought. Lilia hesitated, then cautiously spoke.
“Damon, please don’t misunderstand. I really don’t know him.”
“You must not, since you’ve lost your memory.”
Lilia felt like she would go crazy. It was so unfair to have to explain herself when nothing had happened. She couldn’t understand why the original story hadn’t included such an important detail. For now, she needed to soothe Damon’s mood.
“I truly swear, I’ve never met that man. I’ve never contacted him, either.”
“…Liar.”
“What?”
He strode toward her. Lilia instinctively stepped back until the railing pressed against her back. Damon stretched his arms out, gripping the railing and blocking her escape, then spat out his words.
“I knew the Marquis Levelox was your secret lover.”
“You… knew?”
Lilia’s pupils trembled. Anyone could see she’d been caught in a secret, and Damon felt bitter.
“Yes. But now it looks like you two broke up.”
“How could we break up when we never even met!”
She wanted to smack the back of the original Lilia’s head. To cheat on such a perfect man—she had to be crazy.
“So, Eiran—mmph!”
Damon didn’t like hearing another man’s name from her lips, so he blocked her mouth with his own. At the sudden kiss, Lilia was startled, but soon closed her eyes and accepted him. The kisses that had always been gentle were rough today. He kissed her as if he would devour her, then slipped his hand under her dress.
“Wait, Damon. Here?”
“Why? Are you worried Marquis Levelox might see?”
Lilia felt like she would lose her mind from frustration. Damon, overcome by jealousy, was adorable, but she couldn’t have s*x in someone else’s mansion. Her eyes darted anxiously toward the terrace door.
Lilia was worried someone might come in, but Damon misunderstood, thinking she was worried Eiran might see. Damon bent down and whispered in her ear.
“You broke up anyway, so it doesn’t matter if he sees, right?”
“I told you we never—ah…!”
Before she could finish, his thick fingers slid inside her. She was already wet from their kiss.
“You’re this wet… and you say we can’t here?”
“It’s just, um…”
Lilia’s face turned bright red. She was usually the one to take the lead in s*x, but not today. Being swept away by him like this wasn’t so bad. Wanting to reassure him, she reached out and cupped Damon’s cheek.
“Damon, you’re the only one for me.”
“……”
“You’re the only one who can make a mess of my… down there.”
“……”
His ears turned red as he bowed his head, but his fingers continued to stir her inside. He seemed to have calmed down a bit, so Lilia whined softly.
“Damon, it hurts my back if we do it standing…”
“If you mean we should go back to the mansion, I refuse. I’m in a hurry.”
“No, I mean over there.”
She pointed at something with her finger, smiling sweetly. Damon turned his head. Lilia was pointing at a wide chair placed there for resting. Damon pressed a hurried kiss to her lips, then lifted her up by the hips.
* * *
“Ah, hng, mm, ah…! S-slow down…”
Lilia bit her lip, breathing shallowly. If her voice got any louder, the partygoers outside would notice. But every time he moved, her mouth fell open on its own. Unaware of her efforts, Damon thrust mercilessly. Perhaps because she was nervous about someone coming in, she clenched around him even tighter than usual. He bent down and bit her white neck.
“Mm!”
“Ha… You’re so sweet.”
Her white legs fluttered. The dress Damon had chosen was already half off, exposing her chest. Her br*asts bounced with his movements. Without stopping his hips, Damon bent down and took her br*ast fully into his mouth.
It was soft, and for some reason, it even smelled sweet. Her white body was already covered in his bite marks. Even with her dress on, the marks would probably show. Damon was satisfied. He almost wished Eiran could see her like this. Damon grasped the same ankle Eiran had held earlier.
“Ah, hng, why, why… Ah, ah…!”
“That guy kissed you here, didn’t he?”
Lilia shook her head vigorously. Her eyes were flushed red with excitement. Her long legs rested on his shoulders. Damon turned and kissed the exact spot Eiran’s lips had touched, then licked it with his tongue.
The soft, wet sensation sent chills down her spine. Unintentionally, her inner walls squeezed tight around him, making him shudder and thrust deeply as he cl*maxed. Lilia also reached her peak, feeling her whole body tingle.
