After finishing the meal and trying to clear the dishes, Cardin grabbed her hand.

“I’ll clean up. You just rest.”

“Aren’t you tired too?”

“No. I actually feel more energized now.”

Wondering what he meant, she looked at him as he took the dishes to the sink. As soon as she sat on the bed, she understood what Cardin meant. 

After dinner, they were always together. It was like a natural sequence. Her face turned red on its own. But she didn’t dislike it. Cardin’s warm embrace seemed to be directed solely at her, and his warmth seemed to touch only her. 

Then Cardin came to sit next to her. He smiled as he looked at her face.

“That I like you.”
