Prologue
She was running desperately. The scenery flashing by screamed summer with its lush green foliage, but she was too frantic to notice the beautiful sight.
“Elysia. You know what happens when you try to escape, don’t you? When we catch you, we’ll ravage you twice as hard.”
The voice from behind made her flinch, but her running feet never stopped. However, there were others pursuing her too.
An arrow grazed past her ear. One wrong move and it could have hit her, but the archer was a renowned marksman famous throughout the empire. Because of this, Elysia knew the arrow was merely a warning shot.
‘I have to get out of here somehow. Otherwise, I’ll…’
Thinking of Lars, who had been so kind to her, made her chest tighten painfully. He must have been captured on the emperor’s orders too. Even though he was a prince, helping the woman destined to become the sole breeding vessel for the princes escape would be considered a grave crime.
“Elysia. It’s not too late even now. If you stop running and return obediently, I won’t hold Lars accountable, and I’ll speak well to His Imperial Majesty so you won’t be ravaged either.”
The gentle voice of someone whose exterior and interior were completely different made Elysia’s steps slow momentarily. But Elysia mustered every ounce of strength she had and kept running.
Thanks to the wind magic in her feet, Elysia avoided being caught by her pursuers and soon reached a hill overlooking the empire’s border. However, knowing that they wouldn’t be able to catch her if she escaped there, the pursuers clicked their tongues in frustration.
‘This has become quite troublesome.’
“Elysia! If you go any further, I won’t stop myself from ravaging you either. If you don’t stop immediately before crossing that border, I’ll wound you to make you stop!”
The beautiful voice of Claes, famous for his archery skills, rang out, but Elysia dodged the arrows narrowly by moving her body in zigzag patterns. First Prince Claes, who had been chasing her, clicked his tongue and aimed his bow from horseback to deliver a direct hit.
Whoosh.
“Elysia! Stop right now! Don’t make me wound you!”
In an instant, a blunt-tipped arrow flew and grazed Elysia’s shoulder. Though it didn’t pierce her, the pain slowed her steps. Sighing deeply, Claes glanced at Karad beside him before turning his gaze back to Elysia.
‘Do you think I’ll stop just because of that? I absolutely can’t stop. I never want to be a breeding vessel again. I… I want to return to my original world!’
Three months since her possession.
She no longer wanted to be hidden in the deepest part of the imperial palace, forced to receive the princes’ seed every single day. Moreover, what made it worse was that her past of being treated only as a breeding vessel, alternating between meals and s*x, became the driving force that kept her feet moving.
“There’s no choice. Cast the divine net!”
When they reached right near the border, Elysia’s expression became particularly bright. Despite the pain, she ran even faster, and now there was only one way left to catch her.
“If we cast the divine net… she’ll feel slight pain. Will that be alright?”
Prince Karad responded irritably.
“Yes. We have to stop her escape even if it means that.”
“Understood.”
The knights who had been riding alongside them grabbed the divine net and rushed forward. Seeing knights positioned on both sides, Elysia panicked but increased her speed even more. However, it wasn’t easy to outrun the desperately galloping knights.
‘No! At this rate, I’ll really get caught!’
Elysia looked at the barbed wire fences of the border, less than a hundred steps away. She had prepared a magic scroll called ‘Wind’s Rising Current’ to get over there, but it seemed she would definitely be caught if she didn’t use it right now.
‘I have no choice. I have to use it here… I just hope the effect lasts a little longer!’
Seeing Elysia tear the scroll, the knights’ eyes widened, but Elysia didn’t care and used the scroll’s magic to instantly put distance between herself and the knights.
Since ‘Wind’s Rising Current’ was a magic scroll that enhanced jumping ability, Elysia bounced along like a rabbit, running swiftly.
“Elysia!”
A mournful cry came from behind, but Elysia didn’t stop. And when she finally reached right in front of the barbed wire, Elysia leaped up like a spring.
‘I did it!’
“Cast the divine net immediately!”
“Yes! Understood!”
Just when she was about to jump over the barbed wire, the divine net constrained Elysia’s body.
Though she was instantly pulled away from the barbed wire and reached out her hand, it never touched the fence.
“No…!”
“Elysia. I told you, didn’t I? You’ll have to pay the price.”
Claes, mounted on his white horse, looked at her with pitying eyes, but trapped Elysia only bit her lips tightly. A slight stinging pain rose from the skin that touched the net, but she had no intention of begging the princes.
“Look forward to it. I’ll ravage you even more intensely than before.”
Karad whispered to her with a cold expression, caught in the net.
“We return.”
“Yes!”
When Claes, who had brought dozens of knights just to catch one Elysia, shouted, everyone followed the command.
Looking up at the sky where the sunset was turning golden, tears began to fall drop by drop from Elysia’s eyes. But those dragging her away trapped in the divine net placed her on a horse and said nothing to her.
‘I want to go back.’
Whatever happened to Lars, she didn’t regret trying to escape.
She only regretted not meeting his expectations and failing to escape outside the empire.
“……”
Claes quietly watched such an Elysia, but he didn’t comfort her as she covered her eyes with both hands and sobbed.
If the emperor continued to live…
Her days of living as a breeding vessel for the three princes would never end.
Being dragged away trapped in the net, Elysia recalled the day she had recently been possessed.
