I Became A Wretched Extra In A Healing Story - Chapter 0
Prologue
“We’ve found her!”
At the loud shout, the bustling movements of the knights came to a halt. The space, where the cold wind had been swirling, suddenly became silent.
In the frozen atmosphere, the man with the coldest expression began to move.
“It’s the princess, Your Majesty!”
Following the voice that echoed again, he quickly moved. The place he arrived at was a small, secluded room.
Entering inside, his sight caught a child curled up in a small box.
For a moment, a spark ignited in his eyes.
But he quickly suppressed his anger and cautiously approached the child. Lowering himself, he slowly brought his hand to the child’s cheek. The hand, hardened from years of holding a sword, gently caressed the child’s cheek.
Only then did a sigh of relief escape his lips. It felt as if his frozen heart had melted all at once.
As if waiting for that moment, the child’s closed eyelids twitched.
Slowly, ruby-red eyes appeared between her eyebrows.
Her once blurry focus gradually became clear, and when the child confirmed the existence of the person in front of her, a vivid expression spread across her previously emotionless face like a painting.
“…Dad?”
“Yes, Erina. It’s Dad.”
“Dad!”
With a loud cry, the girl leapt into her dad’s arms. At the same time, a thumping sound was heard from somewhere, but it was drowned out by the child’s loud sobbing.
“Huh, huh…”
“I’m sorry I’m late, my daughter.”
“Waaah.”
As the girl cried as if she were wailing, the knights’ eyes grew moist. The longer her sorrowful cries continued, the tighter their grips became on their swords.
They wouldn’t forgive.
To have their precious one go through such an ordeal.
Somewhere, a desperate sound seemed to be heard. The groans vividly conveyed the fear the princess must have felt, and they made a vow.
They would return this pain exactly as it was. They would make it even more excruciating, so much so that not even a small groan could be uttered.
“Let’s go back. To home.”
The man who holding his sorrowfully crying daughter dearly in his arms left the dreadful room with the child. The knights followed them in a rush.
The room became quiet in an instant.
From another small box placed near the one where the girl had been curled up, a thumping sound hitting the wall was heard.
Muffled words were spoken.
But no one paid attention to the tiny box.
Why?
‘…This damn life as an extra.’
The presence inside the box was Reibella Felicity. Because she was an extra whose name never even appeared in the novel.
‘No way, am I really going out like this? Really? For real?’
No matter how insignificant an extra she was, she had made this much noise. Even the princess, who had been kidnapped with her, knew!
The sound had been right nearby. Isn’t it strange? Huh? Isn’t it strange?
It would have been worth opening out of curiosity. But no one paid attention, as they were focused on the princess. No one!
‘This is really driving me crazy.’
She struggled against the unbelievable reality, but her wish was in vain as the surroundings remained silent.
As if the dark stage, where the protagonist had disappeared after a grand performance, was left empty.
Looking back, it had always been like this.
Since she transmigrated in this novel, nothing good had come from getting involved with the protagonist.
It was truly tiring.
