 When the door opened, Cedric looked up at me. His smile that was about to spread wide quickly froze into a straight line. 

 That was because of Zeno who was beside me.

 Zeno barked fiercely, showing his displeasure at Cedric’s words. However, he didn’t bite. Perhaps because he knew it would be pointless anyway.
