Pregnancy for a Successor - Chapter 22
“What?”
Celia was so shocked by Eugen’s question that she didn’t even realize his large hand was boldly stroking her stomach. Meanwhile, his touch became more explicit. It was a persistent touch, as if he was about to cut open her belly and look inside.
“Lord… Eugen, I…”
His hand was large enough to cover her entire stomach. While that hand freely roamed over the thin negligee, Celia could hardly breathe. She should have pushed him away, but her body wouldn’t listen.
He gently rolled his hand over her stomach, as though he was caressing an animal with very soft fur, then suddenly gripped her belly tightly.
“Is the seed in here truly from the Hilbert family?”
His gentle gaze instantly transformed into something filled with madness. As the large hand gripped her flat stomach without moving, Celia froze, holding her breath.
“Breathe.”
Eugen’s other hand gently stroked Celia’s lips. As if on cue, a big breath burst out. Her rapidly rising and falling chest seemed about to brush against his solid chest.
“How’s the solid chest? Was there a man who could plant a useful seed?”
Still not releasing the grip on her stomach, he stared deeply into Celia’s eyes.
“So, are you pregnant?”
Celia gasped and answered the question that flew at her like a blade.
“No, no. That’s…”
It couldn’t be. Absolutely not. Didn’t Anne tell her? That everything was a dream. But would Eugen believe this even if she said it?
She had already gone to the ball with the intention of spending the night with a man other than her husband, a man whose face she didn’t even know. And she had done so knowing it was a place where very lewd and lascivious forms of intercourse took place.
“Please, please believe me. I, I really…”
“Ah, so you’re not pregnant then?”
Unexpectedly, his eyes softened a bit. Celia got goosebumps all over her body at this strange change. It was better when he was intimidating. Now he looked like something severely out of place. She couldn’t read or predict what was inside him at all, but what was certain was that he was terribly insane.
“No, n-no. I’m not pregnant. I didn’t…”
Celia started muttering incoherently, not even knowing what her words meant. She thought it would be better to say she wasn’t pregnant rather than be misunderstood as being pregnant with a child from an unknown man.
“There’s no way I could be pregnant. Of course not.”
She shook her head frantically.
“Please forgive me. I… I swear I would never do anything to taint the Hilbert bloodline…”
“I see.”
As if pitying her tearful words, Eugen raised his hand and gently wiped Celia’s cheeks. He brought the tears on his fingertips to his mouth and licked them off with his lips, then smiled, lifting the corners of his mouth.
It was like facing an incredibly beautiful yet fallen angel.
“Well, how about it?”
“…Pardon?”
“Then from now on, you can get pregnant. Isn’t that right?”
“What…”
Celia muttered blankly, not readily understanding.
“If you just get pregnant, doesn’t that solve everything?”
When he asked, looking deeply into her eyes, Celia found herself nodding without realizing it.
The thought she always had. If only there was a child in her womb. Then. She could be recognized as her husband’s official wife and receive inheritance rights. Also, the child born would become a child of the wealthy ducal family, and she could rescue her younger sibling from that hellish house and grant them whatever they wished…
If only there was a child, just a child. If only she could carry a baby in her womb.
“I’m sorry, I, I didn’t mean to…”
She was telling an obvious lie. She had foolishly believed that everything would be solved if she just got pregnant, since there was no way to verify the bloodline of the child. But Eugen had seen through all of that. It was foolish to think she could hide anything from him. Now all that remained was ruin.
“Please, please forgive me. I’ll live as if I’m dead. I will. I won’t tell anyone. I won’t ask for money. Just let me leave here…”
Her frantic words were cut off by Eugen’s next statement.
“Is there any need for that?”
“……”
His voice sounded kind rather than angry. Just as she wondered if her ears were deceiving her, Eugen spoke again.
“As long as what’s in here is the seed of the Hilbert family, there’s no problem, is there?”
“……”
“Isn’t that right?”
He smiled at her as if seeking agreement.
“What…”
He must be crazy. Celia thought she must have finally gone mad herself. That’s why she couldn’t properly understand his words.
“There’s only one man in this world who can plant the Hilbert seed in here.”
“……”
“In fact, even my father couldn’t possess the seed of Hilbert, so if you think about it…”
“……”
“The only one qualified to plant a seed in here is me alone.”
He smiled after reaching this clear conclusion.
“Isn’t that right?”
“Lord Eugen…?”
At Celia’s dazed murmur, Eugen lifted her and sat her on his lap. As she sat facing him with her legs spread, something with a heavy volume poked at the sensitive area between her legs, separated only by a thin fabric.
“This, this is…”
Celia realized that this unfamiliar sensation wasn’t entirely strange. Why?
“……”
Celia felt dizzy again at the dream-like scene unfolding before her, almost within reach. The hands that had boldly explored her and the man’s enormous thing that had dug inside…
“Why are you like this?”
Celia shook her head at Eugen’s gentle urging question.
“No, it’s nothing.”
A dream, everything had happened in a dream. That was certain because Anne had proven it. Yes, don’t doubt it. Nothing happened last night.
She had drunk something strange and briefly hallucinated. They said all sorts of strange drugs were rampant at such parties. It was certain that she had foolishly fallen for such a trick.
“It’s a shame to have wasted so much seed alone all this time. I should have done this sooner.”
Before she could ponder the meaning of his words, Eugen clicked his tongue and slightly rubbed his pressed lower body against her. At that chilling sensation, Celia bounced up and let out a short scream. With that, Celia, who had come to her senses, started frantically hitting his shoulders.
“No, no. Let me down… hnngh.”
A thick, moist tongue pushed into her mouth as it opened in protest. The man who had thrust his tongue deep into her mouth in one go began to explore inside greedily.
“Hng, nngh.”
Her whimpering intensified a bit more at the touch of his hand that came up and firmly grasped her br*ast. Celia shook her head frantically and hit Eugen’s broad shoulders with audible thumps. He didn’t budge at all, only removing his hands and lips when Celia was almost at her limit. Her tear-filled eyes looked at him, tinged with shock.
When their eyes met, a smile settled in the corners of Eugen’s eyes. She shuddered at the smile that seemed to make him look like an affectionate lover.
“When I first saw you.”
“……”
“You were hiding your face and body in all-black silk.”
Eugen’s eyes looked thoughtful, as if recalling that time.
“I was curious. What was hidden inside that black silk.”
His finger traced down the center of Celia’s chest.
“I wanted to tear it apart. I sat there thinking I wanted to strip everything off without leaving a single thread, and crush you underneath me.”
“……”
Celia’s face was colored with shock.
“I tried quite hard to hold back, in my own way.”
He lightly pressed his lips to her cheek with a ‘chu’ sound, finding her surprised face cute, then pulled away. Celia kept staring at him with wide open eyes, unable to believe what she had just heard.
“I even imagined taking you while you were in mourning clothes. Imagining laying you down on your black dress, biting and sucking as much as I wanted, then pounding into you.”
His lewd words continued, to the point where it was hard to believe it was really Eugen speaking.
