Once I had completely unbuttoned the shirt, I slid it off his shoulders, Noel willingly helping me with the movement. His athletic shoulders, built from training, were now exposed to the air.
“Yuel, what are you doing?”
Noel asked calmly. His peaceful voice contrasted sharply with the excitement below. If it wasn’t for the sensation of his hardness against my body and his passionate gaze, I might have felt embarrassed.
“You said you were on my side. Theo and Cane aren’t on my side. You’re my only ally, so I want to do this with you.”
I put my hand on his chest. Thump! Thump! I could feel Noel’s heart pounding. I gently traced his muscles and kissed along his well-defined collarbone. Noel moaned softly. He stiffened. I didn’t stop; I slid off his lap and showered his chest with soft kisses. My hand was busy unzipping his trousers.
“Stop it, Yuel.”
It happened in an instant. Just as I was about to gently caress his hard, aroused p*nis, his hand grabbed mine roughly. His cold, piercing eyes looked at me with a disturbing calm.
He pushed me away slightly and sat up to pick up the shirt that had fallen to the floor. Then he slowly began to button it up. His movements were sharp and had a chilling aura about them.
I was stunned, unable to comprehend the situation. Had Noel just pushed me away?
The man who had finished buttoning his shirt sighed and brushed his hair back. He had a look on his face that suggested something was bothering him. One eye narrowed slightly and there was an air of decadence about him. In that familiar expression, I suddenly realized who the man in front of me was.
“Theo Blaine.”
Theo paused for a moment before nodding his head in agreement.
“…Yeah.”
It was him. That damned Theo Blaine had returned at such a perfect moment.
I stared at him, my mouth moving but no words coming out. My brain went blank in the face of this unexpected situation.
Theo sat down in a chair, sighed again, and rubbed his forehead. His handsome features were distorted with tiredness.
Seeing that expression, my mind began to clear. Whenever we argued about matters concerning Noel, he always made the same exasperated face.
It seemed that as soon as I tried to seduce Noel, Theo had seized the opportunity to take his place. It was absurd.
And more importantly, there was something crucial that needed to be addressed. My heart was racing like a detective who had just found a vital piece of evidence at a crime scene.
“Tell me.”
I resisted the urge to slap his cheek and sat down on the bed. We stared at each other in silence. Despite the anger boiling inside me at Theo’s shameless expression, I had too many questions to lose my cool and lash out at him. It wouldn’t be too late to slap that arrogant face once I’d cleared up all my curiosities.
“How did you know I was with Noel?”
“…”
“You said you couldn’t see each other’s actions.”
“…”
“That was a lie, wasn’t it?”
Theo looked at me silently before slowly opening his lips. His refined Arkens accent flowed out. I had always liked his tone – deep and steady, yet soothing.
“That doesn’t seem to be the important question at the moment.”
“Of course, there are more pressing matters, like the fact that you went insane and kidnapped me, created other personalities to s*xually exploit me, and deceived me throughout my treatment. But I’m asking about that now.”
“If I can’t tell what Cane or Noel are doing when they are in the ‘chair’, can I say that I have complete control over them?”
Theo replied in circles. This meant that even in moments when Theo wasn’t in control of his body, he was fully aware of the actions of the other personalities.
This meant that he was aware of everything, even when Cane was manipulating me and I was giving in drunkenly, and when Noel was kissing me. My suspicions were justified! Damn it, Theo Blaine had deceived me for almost four years.
I could rush over and grab Theo by the collar right now, but then the conversation would go nowhere. I took a deep breath to calm my emotions. I had become a sage in the last few days. It wasn’t Cane who was the ‘sage’; I was the true ‘sage’.
“Can Cane and Noel also see everything that’s happening, just like you?”
“Yuel, I’m not here to have a counseling session with you now.”
Theo rubbed the ends of his chiseled eyebrows and looked uncomfortable. A wave of sadness washed over me at this familiar habit. I was currently filled with disappointment and anger towards him. The man sitting in front of me was undoubtedly the ‘Theo Blaine’ I knew, but the situation he had created was so abnormal that I couldn’t make sense of it.
There were so many questions I wanted to ask, but I had no idea where to start.
“Why did you show up?”
I began with the most obvious question. Theo remained silent, not answering.
“Your mission must have been accomplished, so why are you back here?”
I pushed him hard.
“What is my mission?”
Theo frowned.
“Don’t be swayed by what Cane said.”
He spoke softly and calmly.
“So you were listening to everything. Right. This will make the conversation easier. The first s*x was with Theo Blaine. Isn’t that right? You showed up just to have s*x and then vanished again.”
“…It’s not just because of that.”
“You don’t deny that this condition existed. Are you crazy?”
I asked sincerely.
“Maybe,”
Theo simply admitted. My hands were shaking. I had been through heaven and hell in the last few days, but the one responsible for creating this hell remained so calm.
“I wanted to have some fun with Noel too, so why did you decide to show up now? I don’t want to see your face, so just get lost.”
I curled my lips into a snarl at Theo. It was obvious why he had shown up at this moment; he was jealous. He was angry that I had approached Noel so actively first. If Theo disappeared right now, I would be the one to feel the loss, but I taunted him even more, just to provoke a reaction.
Theo hadn’t quite let go of his feelings for me.
Cane, Noel, and Theo were all intimately connected, but amid this tangled relationship, my presence seemed to be the source of conflict. This was vital information.
“Noel is easily swayed. That’s why I came out.”
Theo replied quietly.
His deep eyes were fixed on me. I used to love those eyes. Maybe I still do.
Maybe I still do. I thought. How absurd. I was a madwoman longing for answers.
“Don’t lie, Theo. You’re just jealous.”
Theo let out a weak, defeated laugh in response to my sharp words.
“Well, Yuel, I’ve accepted it now.”
“…”
“Noel and I are one body. Cane is the same. We’re all just ‘me’.”
“Theo, no. Your mind is split in two. You need to integrate those parts or this situation will become dangerous.”
Without realizing it, my voice had taken on a worried tone as I pleaded. He wasn’t even my patient anymore, just a deranged kidnapper!
“You’re being very blunt now. You used to comfort me with your words.”
He said, flashing an attractive smile. His relaxed demeanor weakened my resolve.
“If you’re not jealous, it would be to your disadvantage to tell me that Noel is weak, wouldn’t it? I’ll keep shaking him up. After all, he’s on my side. At least he feels sorry for me.
I put aside any concern for Theo and dug deeper into his mind. I wanted him to feel guilty and reflect on his actions. Of course, if it were easy for him to reflect, he wouldn’t have done the things he did in the first place…
If Theo had come out because he was worried about Noel, then it didn’t make sense for him to mention it to me in passing. I would still have plenty of time for Noel. There was a contradiction in Theo’s words.
I wanted to know what he was thinking.
“Yuel, I’m not playing a game with you.”
Theo said with a bitter smile.
“Do you think I don’t know you, Theo?”
I knew how meticulously and cleverly he planned to achieve his goals. To me, Cane and Noel were no different from the soldiers Theo had used to conquer me.
“I’m not playing you.”
“But you were already here.”
“I was just looking for a way.”
“What’s the difference?”
Another pointless argument began. Our exchanges were complicated, mind-numbing, and childish.
“At least with Noel at your side, you hoped you wouldn’t have to fight at all… It doesn’t make any sense otherwise. But it’s you, Yuel, who’s trying to seduce Noel to escape.”
His charming Arkel accent had never sounded so disgusting to me. I couldn’t hold back any longer and shot up from the bed.
“Theo! You kidnapped me!”
I wanted to argue more calmly and intelligently, but anger clouded my mind and made rational thought difficult. Even if Theo claimed it wasn’t part of his plan to have Noel next to me, he had no right to say such things to me.
Here he was, the damn kidnapper, standing in front of me and criticizing me for trying to seduce Noel to escape! It was utterly ridiculous.
“…Right. I’m a criminal. But I’m not here to talk about that; I’m here to explain the ridiculous misunderstandings you have.”
