Chapter 21
“Have a seat.”
“Yes.”
Resti pulled out Yulia’s chair for her, then naturally tried to take a seat beside her.
“Leon, shouldn’t you be leaving now?”
“There’s no need for me to leave.”
“Don’t you have somewhere to be, Resti?”
At those words, Resti frowned but reluctantly stood up.
“I’ll take care of only the necessary matters and come back right away.”
The man casually kissed her cheek and strode away. Yulia sipped the tea that the Duchess had personally poured for her.
“He’s… really changed a lot.”
“Pardon?”
“Leon, I mean.”
“Leon has changed?”
Yulia tilted her head, puzzled. Resti had always been like this in her eyes.
“He used to be a child who lived as if nothing in the world interested him, wearing a bored expression all the time.”
A child who seemed uninterested in anything and always looked bored. It was hard to imagine. Yulia’s face showed her lack of understanding, and the Duchess smiled faintly.
“Still, I like how he is now.”
Was that a compliment?
Yulia simply smiled back. Perhaps sensing her disbelief, the Duchess continued to speak about her son.
Resti, the Young Heir of Jestione, had never smiled at anyone in the world. If someone tried to talk to him, he would ignore them with a cold face. He had never been attached to or interested in anything.
‘Was Resti really like that?’
To be honest, Yulia found it hard to believe. His current behavior was the complete opposite.
The Resti she knew was nothing but a shameless man, overly obsessed with her. While his possessiveness was a bit extreme, she could never have imagined him as the detached person the Duchess described.
“When Leon said, ‘You can look forward to seeing what I’ll do,’ I could feel the sincerity in his words.”
“What did you think he might do?”
“Well… I didn’t want to imagine it.”
The Duchess gently shook her head.
“He was the kind of child who wouldn’t hesitate to use any means necessary if something displeased him.”
Wouldn’t hesitate to use any means necessary.
Yulia shuddered involuntarily.
‘The more I learn, the less I understand him.’
Even so, she didn’t think Resti was hiding anything from her. It was just that there were sides of him she didn’t know yet. After all, people naturally have many different facets.
Yulia fiddled with the delicate teacup in her hands. Listening to the Duchess’s explanation, she could now understand the strange reactions of the people around them.
If Resti truly had been that kind of person, it must have been incredibly unfamiliar for them to see him with her.
“I don’t know how you feel about me, but I don’t dislike you.”
“Really?”
“Yes. After all, you’ve changed Leon. I believe it’s a change for the better.”
“I like you, Mother!”
“What? Why do you like my mother?”
Resti appeared out of nowhere, frowning slightly as he interrupted.
“Resti.”
“Why do you like my mother?”
“Why? Can’t I like her?”
“It’s enough for you to like me.”
The Duchess let out a small sigh.
“She’s your mother, Resti. Do you want me to dislike her?”
“Yes.”
“Leon.”
Despite his mother’s stern tone, Resti wrapped his arms tightly around Yulia as if afraid someone might take her from him.
“Because you get along so well with Mother, you keep spending less time with me.”
“Resti!”
“That’s enough. I believe you have spent plenty of enjoyable time with Yulia, Mother.”
“Even if I say no, you’re going to take her away, aren’t you?”
“Yes.”
Resti answered without hesitation and lifted Yulia into his arms.
“Put me down! I can walk on my own!”
“It’s dangerous, so no.”
“What’s so dangerous about it?”
“Everything is dangerous.”
“You’re so stubborn.”
Yulia pouted her lips, and Resti leaned down to lightly kiss them. Startled, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand, and he chuckled softly.
“Alright, I won’t do it.”
“You’re going to do it.”
“Well, I’ll do it soon enough.”
“Where are you taking me?”
“Of course, to the room.”
At his shameless response, she narrowed her eyes.
“It’s still daytime.”
“You need to rest.”
How could he lie so blatantly without batting an eye?
Yulia glared at him.
“Are you really going to let me rest?”
“Of course. You just stay still.”
“You’re not going to leave me alone, are you?”
“You don’t even have to lift a finger.”
“That’s not leaving me alone!”
Her voice quivered with frustration.
“You don’t even have to move a finger.”
“What does that even mean!”
“Just relax and rest.”
With those words, they arrived at the room. Yulia felt the soft bed beneath her as Resti gently laid her down. Ever since moving into the Duke’s residence, she felt as though she had been spending an unusually long time lying in bed. Watching him remove her shoes, she wiggled her toes.
His large hands gently wrapped around her feet and began massaging them slowly. The soothing sensation made her let out a small moan.
“Haa…”
Resti moved his hands up to her calves, kneading them carefully, and then to her thighs. His actions seemed genuinely intended to help her relax, and Yulia let her guard down.
But just as she released all the tension in her body, he pressed a kiss to her belly. The ticklish sensation made her burst into laughter.
As she gently stroked his dark hair, smiling contently, his large hand slipped under her skirt.
“You said you’d let me rest.”
“Don’t do anything. Just stay still.”
As he spoke, he swiftly removed her undergarments and buried his face between her legs. She could feel his warm breath against her skin.
“Liar.”
“When have I ever lied to you?”
“Well, that’s… true, but still!”
Even though he said she didn’t have to move, it was impossible to stay still. Yulia pressed her hands against his head, trying to push him away, but his tongue slid between her folds, eliciting a moan.
“Ah…!”
Her body trembled as his tongue worked its way deeper, leaving her breathless. Eventually, she gave up resisting and let him do as he pleased. The sensation of his hot breath and tongue sent shivers through her body. Only when she was thoroughly drenched did he finally move back up.
Resti kissed her lips, now wet and glistening.
“I love you.”
He whispered as he stroked her hair. His gaze and expression were unmistakably those of a man deeply in love. His feelings were so clear and genuine that there was no room for doubt. And because of that, Yulia felt happy. She no longer needed to question anything.
“I love you too, Resti.”
Just saying those words sent a thrilling excitement coursing through her body. The two of them laughed softly as they pulled the sheets over their heads.
Another peaceful and happy day passed by.
