In the Kingdom of Vatis lived Violet, a rabbit beastkin.
She had one troubling concern—her heat cycle had not yet arrived.
Then, one day, she unexpectedly received a marriage proposal from Duke Queensberry, a snake beastkin.
She initially wanted to reject his proposal as they had absolutely no connection,
but due to her family’s failed business, she reluctantly accepted.
And so, two years passed.
During their two-year engagement, Violet underwent bridal training to adapt to the ways of the snake clan.
But then, suddenly, another unexpected event occurred—a letter from the Duke arrived, announcing he was breaking off their engagement.
Having endured the pain of parting with her beloved lover for the sake of this engagement, Violet felt anger and resentment toward the Duke, who had proposed and then broken things off on his own whim.
