If it were the original Lorazie, she would have tried to attract the family’s attention by talking about dresses or whatnot.
If that failed, she would have picked on everything from the food to the table setting and even the lighting.
Then she would have gotten scolded by the Count, reprimanded by her brothers, sneered at by the Countess, and stormed out of her seat.
‘But I’m not that Lorazie anymore.’
As I didn’t take any action even after a long time, the family members started to glance at me occasionally, as if finding it strange.
I pretended not to notice such gazes and continued eating without joining the conversation.
The end of the suffocating dinner approached amidst the family’s peculiar glances.
Without even touching the dessert, I spoke to the Count.
“Thank you for the meal. Count, may I go up now? I’m a bit tired.”
After staring at me blankly for a moment, the Count soon allowed me to leave following the Countess’s silent gaze.
“Alright, you may go.”
“Then I’ll be going now. Have a peaceful evening.”
I gave a dry greeting and turned around.
“What’s she up to now? I don’t understand.”
I heard someone’s mocking voice as I left the dining room, but I didn’t stop walking.
“Ah, I don’t feel well.”
I headed to the garden to settle my queasy stomach. I planned to take a walk alone.
The knight standing in front of the door tried to follow me when he saw me.
“Don’t follow me. I want to be alone.”
When I refused the company, the knight remained at his post without saying anything.
‘He could have asked once more, though.’
Even inside the mansion, nobles always have escorts. You never know when there might be a threat of assassination.
Especially at night like this.
Lorazie’s treatment was evident even in these small details. It was partly due to Lorazie’s usual behavior, and partly because they didn’t care what happened to her.
Anyway, the conclusion is that it’s good that I could come out alone, so it’s all good.
As I was quietly enjoying my solitary contemplation while circling the garden, someone called out to me with a presence.
“You, what are you doing here?”
It felt like something bad would happen if I turned around, given the confrontational tone.
I decided to ignore it once, for now.
“Are you daring to ignore me now?”
Sigh, how persistent.
Left with no choice, I turned around to see a boy with black hair, a youthful face, and purple eyes full of irritation glaring at me.
It was Lindel, the second son.
He was the owner of the mocking voice behind me as I left the dining room. He had been displeased throughout, and it seemed he had finally followed me out.
How annoying.
“I’m taking a walk?”
When I answered matter-of-factly, he frowned even more on his already irritated face.
“Didn’t I tell you not to show up in front of me?”
I was dumbfounded.
He followed me out, called me, and now he’s making a fuss. However, I judged that he wasn’t someone I could reason with anyway.
“I’m sorry. Then I’ll go back inside.”
I turned to escape from him, but he didn’t seem to have any intention of letting me go easily.
“You, what are you plotting again today?”
“What did I do?”
“Staying quiet during dinner time and making others uncomfortable, and now this.”
“Haa.”
“Is this a new way of seeking attention? It’s useless, so don’t do anything foolish.”
It was such an absurd reasoning that I couldn’t help but refute it.
“I have no intention of seeking attention or doing anything foolish.”
“What?”
“You seem to think you’re my brother, but I don’t do such childish things.”
“What? Hey! What did you just say?”
He asked with wide eyes as if I had eaten something wrong, but I just continued my words.
“Brother, you always come to me first and pick unnecessary fights. Actually, you like me, don’t you? If you like me, just say so. Don’t be childish.”
“What? You…! Are you crazy?”
“And you seem to have forgotten, but you were the one who acknowledged me first. We both dislike seeing each other’s faces, so I’d appreciate it if you don’t talk to me from now on.”
I raised one corner of my mouth, teasing him until the end, then turned around with a swish. While he was dumbfounded, I quickly headed inside the house before he could catch me again.
“Hey!!!”
A belated shout was heard from behind. I felt a sense of relief.

As I entered the room through the drawing room, Irena was waiting.
She looked at my complexion and wore a worried expression.
“Young lady, you look tired. Did something happen?”
“No. I just want to rest.”
“Yes. I’ve prepared the bath water. Shall I call a maid to assist you?”
Irena seemed to have quickly grasped over the past few days that I disliked having maids bustling around me.
If it were Lorazie’s previous maids, they would have called people to assist with the bath before I even said anything. I liked her a little.
“No, I want to relax quietly by myself. Don’t let anyone in.”
“Yes, I understand. Then, which bath additive would you like?”
“Add jasmine and make it nice and bubbly.”
“Yes, young lady.”
The bathroom was decorated in gold and red, with pink marble floors throughout.
Inside was a large marble bathtub that could fit four adults. It even had a magic bubble massage function that made my eyes roll.
I relaxed in the perfectly heated water, relieving the day’s fatigue, and made a decision.
“I need to execute my escape plan tomorrow.”
I had become a bit lazy with the luxurious life, but facing my family gave me a clear goal.
There was no reason to waste my second life arguing with them every day.
After a refreshing bath and receiving a fragrant oil massage from Irena, I lay on the soft bed, savoring the happiness.
And as I planned tomorrow in my head, I fell asleep.
“Mmm.”
The next day, as I was enjoying a light sleep buried in the fluffy bed, I suddenly came to my senses.
“This isn’t the time. Yawn…”
After stretching my stiff body, I immediately pulled the cord attached to the bed.
The day had dawned to execute the plan I had made as soon as I arrived here.
“Young lady, did you call?”
“Yes, I called because I have something for you to do.”
“Yes. Please tell me!”
“While I’m having breakfast, tell the Count that I wish to see him. The time doesn’t matter. And when the time is set, could you prepare me to meet the Count?”
“Yes, young lady.”
She seemed curious about why I wanted to meet the Count, but Irena calmly answered without talking back or asking questions.
“Oh, and when you’re done with what I asked, have the other maids clean my room, and you can go have your meal.”
“Thank you, young lady.”
She looked overly moved by me again today. I’ve just been making sure she gets meals, snacks, and rest times, but she reacts like this every day, so I’ve gotten used to it.
“You can go now.”
“Yes, I understand.”
