Chapter 4.1 – Exploring the S-Points
The rain that had fallen all night had stopped.
“Oh, the Commander and Lady Lake are coming out!”
The ground, which had been soaked, had dried somewhat, and the sky had cleared. Muriel and Elexion, who had been in the cabin, slowly walked out of the forest with Storm.
“Are you injured anywhere?”
“It’s a relief that you’re safe.”
“Thankfully, you went to check the cabin. I thought I’d lose ten years off my life.”
Seeing the two safe and sound after spending the night in the forest, the party let out a sigh of relief.
It didn’t seem like they had been exposed to the rain for too long, nor did they look particularly pale or feverish. However, Lady Lake seemed more tired than usual, likely because she had slept in an uncomfortable place.
“I’ve reserved the best room at the inn. Both of you should rest.”
“We’ll return to the capital tomorrow afternoon.”
Coming back sick after working was unacceptable. Muriel handed over the documents she had diligently prepared yesterday and entered the inn room, throwing herself onto the bed.
“Oh my, oh my. My body aches everywhere.”
The groaning she couldn’t let out in front of others escaped her lips naturally.
Yesterday afternoon, and even into the night…
After exhausting herself, she had fallen asleep as if she had fainted. When she woke up, the two of them were tightly hugging each other in the cabin bed.
The rain had stopped, and the sunlight gently filtered through the leaves in the serene dawn.
In truth, Muriel hadn’t felt particularly tired when she woke up. Thanks to Elexion filling the fireplace with logs and keeping the fire blazing, she had slept warmly.
Moreover, it seemed he had massaged her sore muscles while she slept, as her stiff areas were almost entirely loosened.
Thus, she had planned to prepare breakfast herself. She casually threw on the nearest clothes, grilled and boiled some provisions, and woke Elexion…
Only to realize the clothes she had grabbed were his oversized shirt!
Facing Muriel in her unintended boyfriend-shirt look, Elexion targeted his favorite dish from the breakfast spread first—the main dish he loved most.
Thanks to her contrarian fiancé, who ate her energy rather than the food she had prepared, Muriel’s stamina plummeted again.
Her legs wobbled, and she had to ride on Elexion’s back for about five minutes as they left the cabin.
“I’ll bathe after I take a nap.”
Muriel decided to postpone washing up, knowing she’d likely collapse if she entered the tub now. Still, she managed to change into comfortable clothes before crawling under the blanket.
Lying there, she realized she hadn’t checked her S-Points in the past few days.
Out of habit, she opened the points window, only to be startled into sitting bolt upright.
[Muriel Lake]
S-Points Balance: 600
Her points had accumulated and reached a whopping 600!

“What in the world?”
The fatigue that had been weighing down her body vanished instantly. Muriel stared at the floating window in the air.
Suddenly, the points window disappeared, and a new message appeared.
[Notification]
Congratulations on surpassing 600 S-Points!
From now on, even after using your daily free pass, you can view the points window using paid points!
-10 points deducted per window view.
“10 points per view? That’s robbery!”
Muriel wasn’t the least bit happy about receiving her first-ever message, which was about monetization.
After all, she could already view the points window once daily for free. Why would she spend 10 points to view it again?
Considering the events she had experienced after her previous life, Muriel knew S-Points were a valuable currency that shouldn’t be spent recklessly.
“The last time I checked was three days ago. Back then, my points were at 540, and now they’re at 600. Hmm. Hmmmmm.”
Muriel shut her eyes tightly. She had been suspicious for a while, but now she was certain.
S-Points increased dramatically whenever I engaged in s*xual activity with Elexion!
“S doesn’t stand for good deeds. But it doesn’t seem to be an abbreviation for s*x either.”
Muriel recalled that her S-Points had steadily accumulated even during her childhood. Since the two of them had crossed the line for the first time on their engagement night, she couldn’t simply define the meaning of S as s*x.
“Ahhh, this is driving me crazy. It’s been so long since I reincarnated that I don’t remember any English words!”
Unfortunately, Muriel hadn’t been particularly proficient in English in her previous life. After reincarnating and learning the language of this world, even her native tongue from her past life became confusing when it came to difficult words.
Rolling around on the bed, she clutched her head and eventually sprawled out in a large X-shape.
She slowly closed her eyes and sank into deep thought.

Muriel had a reason for persistently researching S-Points.
In her previous life, she hadn’t been able to finish the romance fantasy novel, 「I’ll Be Happier Every Day!」
When she died, the novel was still a newly released work with only 35 chapters available for free.
The author, Dalkongkong, had uploaded the chapters online until the early autumn of the year Muriel turned 22.
In other words, Muriel had no idea what would happen starting this winter.
In her previous life, Muriel had saved her grandmother and died before reaching the age of thirty. While she had done a good deed, it wasn’t as though she didn’t regret her sudden death in an accident.
Thus, her goal in her new life became living a long and healthy life.
‘Long romance fantasy novels usually have major episodes starting after chapter 30. To prepare for the events and accidents ahead, I need to accumulate as many S-Points as possible!’
Muriel hadn’t forgotten the explanation the angel had given her before she passed through the reincarnation gate.
The angel had said that accumulating S-Points would reveal secrets about the story, hidden settings, or the continuation of the plot she hadn’t been able to read.
“I’ll protect myself, safeguard those around me, and live to become a happy grandmother who pets cats and watches her grandchildren play!”
One experience of dying young was more than enough.
Having identified the phenomenon of gaining points quickly through intimacy with her fiancé, Muriel resolved to conduct repeated experiments to uncover the truth behind the S.
Lost in her thoughts, she fell asleep without even pulling up the blanket.

The annual spring hunting competition had concluded successfully, making all the preparation worth it.
The capital of the kingdom continued to enjoy mild weather, and joyous news arrived.
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess, who were enjoying their newlywed life, were expecting their first child.
The King, delighted, summoned the Crown Prince, who was running around the palace garden in excitement, and handed him a thick book.
“Father, what is this?”
“A cookbook. I’ve already informed the royal chef, so start learning diligently from tonight.”
“What? You want me to learn how to cook?”
“Yes. Our royal bloodline is notoriously picky while in the womb. They’ll only eat food prepared by their father.”
Before his daughter-in-law’s morning sickness began, the King insisted his son learn as many dishes as possible.
The Crown Prince was utterly baffled, but since even his mother, the Queen, and his uncle, Duke Fredior, agreed, he reluctantly underwent intensive cooking training.
Fortunately, he had learned simple recipes during military training, so it wasn’t too difficult.
A few days later, the Crown Princess’s morning sickness began. The King, upon hearing the news, immediately sent his son to the royal kitchen.
The Crown Princess, who had vomited even the soup prepared by her childhood nanny, drank the food her husband made straight from the bowl.
“Darling, what was your favorite food again?”
“A soft and moist strawberry cream roll cake. Hmm, I might want it soon.”
“I-I’ll learn it quickly.”
For reference, rolling a cake is considered one of the trickier pastry techniques. Seeing his son’s distressed face, the King patted his back and whispered.
“Mine was a buttercream cake with floral decorations. You’re in a better situation than I was.”
“That’s handled only by veteran dessert artisans in the palace…”
“Thousands of flower decorations crafted over twenty months, haha!”
The King had two children: one son, the Crown Prince, and a late-born Princess.

As the Crown Prince became busy cooking daily for the baby in the womb, external affairs were divided among the elder members of the royal family.
Originally, the Crown Prince was scheduled to visit a foreign country as the delegation leader for two months in mid-May. However, due to the circumstances, the responsibility was handed over to his uncle, Duke Fredior.
Having experienced cooking meals, snacks, and even midnight treats for his wife when she was pregnant with Elexion, the Duke willingly took on the task.
As his father prepared to leave, Elexion quietly asked,
“When Muriel becomes pregnant, will she only be able to eat the food I cook?”
“Of course.”
“So that’s why my mother occasionally took me to the kitchen when I was young…”
“She was covering for busy days. Learning ahead of time makes it much easier.”
As the youngest Prince, the Duke initially thought his parents were joking. However, after witnessing his elder brother running from the office to the kitchen after marriage, he belatedly learned to cook.
“When you were in the womb, you craved soufflé pancakes weekly. Whipping the egg whites nearly tore my arms off.”
Recalling the past, the Duke smiled softly, but his expression soon turned serious.
Muriel, his future daughter-in-law, wasn’t picky about food and ate everything well.
Moreover, she occasionally surprised everyone by making unfamiliar and unique dishes. Though they were meals no one had seen before, they oddly tasted quite good.
“Elexion.”
“I’ll start preparing now.”
“Make sure to ask for recipes of her frequently eaten dishes. Stock up on hard-to-find spices in advance.”
“I’ll inform the steward.”
Elexion’s wedding was scheduled for next spring.
The Lake Family was known as the most affectionate noble family in the Kingdom.
Muriel, who grew up loved dearly by her kind parents and sister, wasn’t expected to delay having children at all.
“Being able to cook something basic isn’t enough. It has to taste good.”
“Yes.”
“Good luck.”
Leaving a word of encouragement for his son, Duke Fredior departed the estate.
