Will You Cry When I Die?

Since the day Persephone, the goddess of spring, was kidnapped by the demon king Pluto and ate the pomegranate he offered her, she has been trapped in the underworld. As a result, eternal winter descended upon the Earth.
For thousands of years, humanity sent holy knights into the demon realm to restore spring. Finally, one man succeeded in defeating Pluto.

He was a young knight with hair as white as falling snow.
For the goddess, who had almost forgotten the face of her mother Demeter and was withering away in the underworld, the knight was her first salvation, arriving that day like a ray of light.

After healing the knight, who was dying from his battle with Pluto, and offering him a meal, the goddess asked him to stay with her in the underworld, as Pluto had done with her. She even proposed marriage. But the knight, unaware of the goddess’ true identity, responded with nothing but contempt.

“Kill me instead. I’d rather be torn to pieces and die than spend a night with a demon.”

After eating the food she gave him, the knight was also trapped in the underworld. He loathed her, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t earn an ounce of his affection. Day by day, the goddess withered as she stayed by the side of someone who would never love her.
