This novel was one hell of a ride tbh, the first few chapters were hard to read, as I really wanted to kll Richt for the things he did, but after the the garden incident everything started changing. It became an emotionally gripping tale with their relationship becoming an tangible mess. Both of them had character growth and but at the same time stayed true their emotions. I knew they’ll reconcile and it was no suprise, but the emotional turmoil one had to go through to witness that was a neatly done. Not overly melodramatic, not lightly written either, and what l liked the best was things didn’t sort out between them on a whim, both decided to reconsider their relationship, know eachother, give another chance to rekindle their extinguished love. And the fact that they slowly managed to mend it, Isabella became a vocal, assertive woman in process, where’s Richt learnt to apologize, respect and truly understand Isabelle.
