Epilogue
A wedding is an event full of formalities and ceremonies. Duke Carca, the groom for whom this was the second time, knew this well and completed the ceremony quite simply. Though people would gossip about the modest ceremony compared to the abundant rumors, the bride and groom themselves were very pleased with the simple wedding attended only by close acquaintances and relatives. Primarily, this was because both of them found complicated things bothersome and annoying. The reception, however, was truly splendid and celebratory.
Despite everything…… in truth, Van was conscious of those who remembered his so-called first wedding and didn’t want them to dictate his ‘only marriage.’ Wouldn’t it be stranger to make an ostentatious show of it?
“Eurene?”
Satisfactorily examining the wedding ring on his ring finger, he suddenly came to his senses and called for Eurene. Outside, the boisterous noise of guests intoxicated with alcohol and music could be heard. The day had already darkened into early evening. Van, who had quickly followed after seeing the tired new bride slip away from dealing with the drunken nobles, looked around the quiet interior.
In the midst of dreamy candlelight, a veil lay fallen on the floor.
Van was seized by a strange feeling. It was simply a white, transparent veil lying there, yet it approached him with an odd sensuality.
In fact, what had been heating up since earlier might just be naturally flowing out now. He entered the bridal waiting room with steady steps and an ambiguous expression, as if savoring the taste. After staring at the disheveled sofa cover and an apple basket with a bite taken out—perhaps she had been hungry—he called again for the woman who had become his wife today.
“Eurene.”
Somehow his voice was excessively low. He gave a short cough. Ah, this won’t do. He needed to wait until night. His throat felt dry, and he loosened his tie. His nape was hot. With equally warm fingertips, he massaged that spot while narrowing his eyes. The golden hair neatly styled with pomade became disheveled.
Where could his young lady have gone?
“Van?”
Just then, Eurene called him in a gentle voice. Van immediately pulled back the curtain and found her. Eurene was standing on the terrace. Dressed in a bright dress with a light pink hue like a ripened peach, she looked truly beautiful and lovely. What could be more beautiful than a beloved new bride?
Even Count Eifel, who was only harsh regarding his younger sister, muttered that she looked decent today and then blew his nose loudly. Eurene couldn’t look directly at her brother’s face, which was strangely red-rimmed as he handed his sister over to the new groom. She felt like she might burst into tears. The situation was the same for her brother, and throughout the ceremony, Countess Eifel comforted her husband with a bittersweet expression as he kept sniffling unnecessarily.
When Van stood quietly without saying anything, Eurene tilted her head.
“What is it?”
“Nothing, you’re just pretty.”
“Oh come on, Van……”
Having heard—even if they were white lies—the most compliments about her beauty in her life, Eurene blushed anew and fidgeted.
The bride, adorned with pink pearls and tiny diamonds, was beautiful. Only her blue eyes sparkled uniquely amid the light pink waves. She was like a pink rose that had bloomed fully but formed shy buds as the sunset fell. As if to prove this metaphor true, a beautiful purple sunset was falling on the open terrace. Feeling like she might cough from this fluttering and ticklish atmosphere, Eurene, who had been rolling her eyes around, muttered,
“I’m glad Rona helped a lot today. Thanks to her, everything went smoothly.”
“I’m glad to hear that.”
Van stroked her hair, which was rolled up, while embracing her waist. A pink diamond sent as a gift from the Carca duchy slipped down in the process. Oh! That’s expensive! As she exclaimed and quickly reached out her hand, she was firmly fixed by his strong arms. His face was suddenly very close. A strangely sensual smile rippled deeply in his reddened eyes.
As if distracted by fireworks beautifully embroidering the night sky, Eurene momentarily lost herself in a daze. Van’s gaze, staring intently as if seeing only her, his face tinged with twilight, was so beautiful.
Thud, the sound of the diamond falling onto the marble tile rang out.
Into her ears as she gulped, a voice so sweet that honey seemed to drip flowed like hot coffee,
“You worked hard today.”
“No, well…… you too……”
“I’m a professional at these things.”
I mean the tedious, annoying stuff. Their bodies pressed even closer together. Beyond the flowing dress, the familiar yet hard sensation was explicit like a beast poking its head in. At this, Eurene unconsciously let out a gasp, and Van’s smile deepened. Gradually grinding against her thigh and biting her bright red ear, Van chuckled.
“Come to think of it……”
“Yes……”
“Do we really need to wait until night?”
“Haa……”
The hand that had been gently caressing her waist slid up and grasped her br*ast, stimulating the peak with his thumb. Her body jumped like a fish and trembled. Eurene, whose eyes naturally softened from learned behavior that hadn’t disappeared just because they were now married, pushed against Van’s chest as he deliberately made advances. But there was no strength in it at all.
“B-but the wedding night should be on our honeymoon……”
“Yes, of course.”
Van meekly agreed like a devoted husband who listened well to his wife. The problem was that, contrary to his words, his hardness grinding against her thigh had become even firmer. Eurene gasped for breath.
“Vaan……”
“Call me husband.”
Haa, inhaling deeply, Van commanded with a growl. His touch, unclear whether leisurely or urgent, was entering under the pure white dress skirt. His greedy hands stroked her soft skin lingeringly.
“Hmm?”
Van urged again. Eurene rolled her eyes. Though the garden lights were turning on one by one and visibility wasn’t clear, where they were standing could be easily seen by anyone walking in the garden who happened to look up. Her dazed mind, affected by the music and people’s laughter coming from the far end of the garden, belatedly returned. This is crazy! Even for newlyweds who might overturn a table if they made eye contact during a meal, this was too much! How indecent!
“Hey, Van! Later, let’s do it later! I haven’t even washed up!”
“So what? I didn’t mind embracing you even when you didn’t wash your hair for three days.”
“What?! Gasp!”
Her body was spun around and pushed against the railing. Her bottom area felt coolly exposed. Eurene instinctively opened her mouth in surprise and grabbed the vine-patterned railing. Van, embracing her from behind, kept kissing her cheek as if he couldn’t be happier. The hot object passed up and down between her moist buttocks as if cleaving them. Good heavens. This wasn’t the sensation of something between two layers of cloth! Eurene shouted at her husband, who was already prepared to devour her whole.
“It wasn’t three days! T-two days at most?!”
“Yes, yes. Let’s say two days.”
“It’s true……”
Probably……? Eurene lacked confidence in her past self. As if it didn’t matter either way, Van smiled again and asked,
“Won’t you do it quickly?”
“Do what?”
“Call me honwy. Quickly.”
Unlike his leisurely voice, his hip movements were gradually becoming more intense. The feeling that he was losing self-control moment by moment was palpable through her skin. It was…… truly an electrifying sensation.
They say husband and wife are one body and mind, and indeed, today’s new bride was also very thin on patience. Holding her loosened hair with one hand, she whispered like a scream to Van, who was biting and licking her exposed neck,
“Honey!”
“Haa, this is driving me crazy.”
Looking down at her swaying in his arms like a seesaw, Van gritted his teeth. He hurriedly and roughly pulled down her underwear. The white, thin underwear slid down and caught on her ankles, which were wearing high heels.
And like marking his territory on a white snowfield, the glistening thick manhood conquered her narrow inside in one go.
“Ahng!”
Eurene moaned. The pleasure was so intense, as if needles were piercing her brain, and perhaps because of this, his overly filling c*ck was overwhelming. Van tightly embraced her as she whimpered. His fingers, which had been gently stroking under her armpit, moved down and firmly grasped her br*ast. Beyond the lace fabric, the voluptuous mound deformed exactly in the shape of his hand. From head to toe, Eurene was completely covered, devoured by him. He gritted his teeth and stood even closer. He pushed in completely to the very end of the remaining root.
It was a perfect sense of fullness and satiety. Even her complaints about pain felt deliciously good.
* * *
“Those two are really lovey-dovey, aren’t they?”
Hannah, the Marchioness of Bayern, who had drunk a few glasses of wine at the garden party, whispered with a flushed face. The target was, of course, her husband, Marquis Bayern, who was contentedly watching his wife behave more affectionately than usual due to the alcohol—he was almost the only nobleman who had kept his wits about him at this gathering, meaning he hadn’t touched alcohol. He cleared his throat and put his arm around his wife’s shoulders. It was a beautiful night in many ways: troublesome issues had been resolved, his wandering friend had settled down, their marriage was good.
“Who do you mean?”
“Who else? Today’s newlyweds.”
I never expected Van to be able to attach his heart to one woman and live. It’s truly a blessing.
Of course, Lothar felt the same way. Starting from the emperor, no one had expected Duke Carca to form a family and join the ranks of mature men. It seemed certain he would just continue to change women steadily and never settle down. He might have the innate playboy temperament others assessed him to have, but to his old friend Lothar, Van was less a natural playboy and more like a selfish boy with attachment issues. Those walls he had built in secret were so thick…… it seemed unlikely anyone could enter them. No, even if someone did enter, Lothar had been skeptical they would last long.
