Deep Boredom - Part 1
Chedev’s ‘soon’ was merely three days later.
Rasha stood by the sunlit glass window, holding a teacup. Her violet pupils, tinged with a hint of light, seemed unusually vacant. Yet, within those eyes that appeared as lifeless as a deceased person’s, the serene image of a happy couple reflected.
Chedev and the young lady of the Marquis of Robeni.
The two stood side by side, leisurely strolling through the garden. Chedev, more accustomed to being unclothed than dressed, looked neatly grown-up. As he quietly followed the woman’s footsteps, relinquishing his own presence, he appeared affectionate and deeply considerate.
Standing by his side, the marquise wore an ivory-colored dress. Her appearance formed a harmonious picture with Chedev’s black uniform. As a result, Rasha couldn’t help but feel as if she were gazing at a surreal masterpiece.
His marriage partner, the Marquise of Robeni, resembled a beautiful linden tree situated in a humble meadow. Unlike Rasha, she had a relatively tall stature with long limbs, giving off that impression. Moreover, she was an undeniable beauty.
She knew how to use the descending sunlight as her halo, skillfully adorning herself with a demure smile. With nothing but the love of others bestowed upon her since birth, she exuded an unwaveringly positive and confident demeanor that radiated even from Chedev’s side.
Chedev didn’t seem to mind her attitude at all, and he quickly opened his mouth to continue the conversation. As they walked through the garden, he seemed to have more to say to her than to Rasha in the last few days,
Even from a distance, Rasha could see a lingering trace of a smile on his lips. The synchronized rhythm of their footsteps depicted a bittersweet tenderness in her heart.
With the knights trailed a few steps behind, she wondered what kind of conversation were they sharing.
“……”
Rasha bowed her head.
Her bare feet, barely escaped the edge of the sunlight, finding solace in the shadows.
They could easily be seen together like that. Rasha, on the other hand, could barely keep her hands and feet under the radiant sun. When it came to Chedev, she had long since come to live in the shadows.
When Rasha raised her head again, she couldn’t help but notice an instant distortion in her expression.
Marquise Robeni, who had maintained a certain distance just moments ago, suddenly interlocked her thick arms with his. She brought her face closer, whispering something near his ear, her demeanor appeared both intimate and somewhat secretive. It was as if they were cultivating a clandestine flower of shared secrets, known only to the two of them.
At that moment, Chedev had his back turned to Rasha, so she couldn’t see his expression. However, the fact that he didn’t push away Marquise Robeni’s arm indicated his acceptance of her actions.
Why didn’t he refuse…?
Why didn’t he push her away?
The marquise’s red lips moved tantalizingly close to his ear. The curving corners of her mouth resembled a bewitching enchantress. Perhaps the scent of the perfume that she had been using so frequently lately had become overwhelming, even giving Rasha a headache. Every time they met, she clung to him like that, so the fragrance must have lingered on his collar…
In this incredibly inappropriate moment, Rasha’s thoughts turned to Chedev’s sexual preferences.
She once said that from the moment he fell into deep boredom, she felt like his personal pr*stitute.
Because Chedev had never crossed the self-drawn line with her in their intimate moments.
The way he’d clenched his hands in her hair over and over again. Even in her exhausted and disoriented state, she could sense that he always restrained himself, witnessing his unwavering er*ction that wouldn’t subside.
In fact, on the day of their first sexual encounter, he had torn apart the pillow he was clutching instead of her. It was safe to say that he had exerted all his strength. He was strong, and she was too weak, so he always had to exercise patience.
Perhaps, with that young lady.
Maybe she could endure Chedev’s preferences…
Realizing that her thoughts were venturing into the dark, Rasha recoiled and took a step back. With each step she took, she sank deeper into the dimly lit shadows that resembled an alley.
At noon, when the sun was positioned at the zenith of the sky, the amount of sunlight streaming into the bedroom was minimal. Only the area in front of the glass window was bright, while the interior of the room was as dark as ever. In the darkness of the room, Rasha felt like she was withering away.
A meal prepared for her was placed on the bedroom table. While they used to have meals together when they were at the mansion, today he prioritized that young lady and left her behind. The delectable food felt more like a feast than a simple meal.
It was an absurd situation. She wasn’t trapped here, so why did she feel that way.
‘Not really.’
Can one really say that she isn’t locked up?
Rasha raised the teacup to her lips with a dry expression resembling fallen leaves. The taste of the tea crossing her throat was excessively bitter. It was difficult to distinguish whether it was the tea that was bitter, her palate, or her own bitterness.
A few hours later.
Rasha had expected Lady Robeni to leave after luncheon. For her part, giving up a meal with Chedev and quietly staying here required a great deal of patience.
The sight she had seen during the day still lingered in her eyes. Thus, she wanted to meet Chedev right away. Whether it was engaging in casual banter or intense s*x, she wanted to regain his warmth and find solace by any means necessary.
As the evening approached and dusk settled in, she heard a knocking sound on the bedroom door. With a pleased heart, she approached the door with quick steps and opened it. What she failed to realize in her impatience was that there was no need for him to knock, as the owner of this bedroom was Chedev himself.
Before she could utter a word, her voice was caught in her throat. It wasn’t the man she had been waiting for who appeared beyond the open door. It was the butler. Just like in the morning, he held a tray with a prepared meal in his hands.
“This is the dinner that the lord had requested.”
The butler briefly explained, noticing Rasha’s gaze shifting toward the tray. If she had to confined to this spacious bedroom alone, there was only one reason for it.
He intended to have dinner with that lady as well.
Rasha clenched her lower lip tightly. Otherwise, it felt like a lump that had swelled up inside her would spill out. The butler, who placed the tray on the table as he passed by her, politely greeted her and withdrew from the room.
In the darkness of his bedroom, Rasha stared blankly at the table.
With her loss of appetite, the dinner that was prepared for her remained almost untouched. The sight of it provoked an urge, as if insults were being thrown at her.
Rasha covered her mouth with her hand, swaying as she leaned against the wall. She soon realized that the churning sensation inside her was not an insult but the uneasy feeling she had tried to suppress earlier. Unwilling to bring it to mind, she couldn’t help but keep picturing the image of the two people in the garden.
Having lunch together, having dinner together. The sequence of events, like a natural course, expanded her imagination without restraint.
Having meals together and having teatime together.
And then together in the bedroom, on the bed…
When her improper and grandiose imagination reached that point, Rasha couldn’t resist the impulse that had been building up inside her.
Bang!
She forcefully swung open the door and stepped into the corridor. Ignoring the maidservants who recognized her and had widened eyes, Rasha hurriedly descended the stairs. Just as she reached the ground floor, she came face to face with those who were finishing their meal and entering the reception room. Among the cheerful atmosphere, it was Chedev’s knight who spotted Rasha first. After whispering something to his master, Chedev turned his head.
“Rasha?”
Despite his surprised tone, Rasha stood frozen in bewilderment.
It was because she locked eyes with Lady Robeni, who had just entered the reception room.
Silver hair cascading down to her waist, deep crimson eyes. A refreshing facial structure with delicate features. The woman seen up close was even more beautiful than she had appeared from a distance.
Lady Robeni was perfect on her own, but the presence of those surrounding her made her shine even more. Like the knight who protected her and the courteous attitude of the servants. Among them, Chedev presented the image of a handsome couple with a suitable height difference.
Witnessing the scene of the two of them together right before her eyes intensified the feeling of her insides twisting.
With Rasha’s abrupt entrance, the atmosphere quickly turned subtle. As if an unwanted guest had unexpectedly arrived.
“You go in first.”
Chedev spoke to Lady Robeni.
The young lady, who looked rather surprised at Rasha’s appearance, soon cast her an unreadable glance, smiled, and entered the parlor. In the sight of her and the knights who followed her, Rasha felt like an insignificant presence. The perfect contrast made her shabby and insignificant.
The door closed, and Chedev approached Rasha.
“I instructed you to take care of the meals without any problems.”
His tone expressed annoyance at why she had come all the way here and made things difficult.
Lady Robeni had already disappeared, but Rasha’s gaze still fixed on the reception room as if following a ghost. He gently caressed her cheek with his large hand. He stroked her cheek with his large hand. Despite the warmth of his body heat, Rasha thought the touch was strangely cold.
“Go upstairs.”
“…..”
His actions were kind, but his intent was closer to excluding her from this place by any means necessary.
With Rasha’s appearance, the atmosphere became complex and subtle, so the intention was to remove her and restore the original atmosphere. Chedev didn’t bother hiding his attitude.
Her heart sank. After gently kissing Rasha’s motionless cheek, he turned away. It was in the direction of the reception room where Lady Robeni was.
Before she could make any sensible judgment, Rasha grabbed hold of him.
“Don’t go.”
