Chapter 17
At the tea party hosted by Countess Lotein, when Lilia said she wouldn’t hold a birthday party this year, many noblewomen were disappointed. It was a chance to personally deliver gifts and make an impression on Lilia, so their reaction was natural. Because of that, nobles who heard the news were sending gifts to the mansion.
“Madam, a gift has arrived.”
“What? Again? From now on, don’t ask me—just put them all in the next room. I’ll check them later.”
“Yes, Madam.”
When the first gift arrived, Lilia was excited and opened it on the spot. But after the second, third, and tenth time, she was completely fed up and waved her hand. The gifts were all similar—mostly jewelry or perfume.
The first time she received jewelry, she was thrilled since it was her first time getting such a present. She even tried it on right then. But as people say, humans adapt; after a few repeats, she grew bored. Then, Jane came again and spoke to her.
“Madam, a gift has arrived, but it’s unusual. I think you should see it yourself.”
“Unusual gift?”
Lilia, who was lying on the bed reading, tilted her head and sat up. Throwing a shawl over her shoulders and roughly combing her tousled hair, she went down to the first floor. Noah was there, sorting the gifts, and he was holding something. As she approached, she saw it was a golden birdcage in his hands.
“Ah, you’re here?”
“Just bear with it for a few days. By the way, Jane said there’s an unusual gift.”
Lilia’s gaze landed on the birdcage. Noah, mumbling “Ah,” handed her the cage.
“A gift arrived—it’s a bird.”
“A bird?”
“Yes. It’s known as the prettiest bird: a rosebird.”
Lilia reached out and took the cage. Inside the golden cage, a bird sat quietly on its perch. Its head turned this way and that, as if it was curiously observing its surroundings. As Noah said, the bird was very beautiful—its feathers glossy and its colors lovely.
“Who sent it?”
“Viscountess Cynthiarel Delphinne.”
“Oh… really?”
She felt a bit dazed. She’d met her once at the tea party and hadn’t exchanged letters since. Still, perhaps since they’d met once, she considered them acquainted and sent a gift. Since she couldn’t send it back, Lilia decided to keep the bird and brought it to her room.
“The bird is really pretty. I heard it’s trendy to keep birds for decoration these days, so that’s probably why she sent it.”
“Really? I think I heard that somewhere…”
Listening to Jane, Lilia remembered that at the last gathering, the noblewomen had chatted about how keeping birds was in fashion. One of them had asked Lilia if she kept birds, and she’d said no. Cynthiarel must have remembered and sent the gift.
“I’ll go buy some bird feed now.”
“Thank you. Get some money from Noah before you go.”
“Yes, Madam.”
Jane left the room. Hearing her footsteps down the stairs, Lilia placed the birdcage on the table by the window. The bird chirped softly—a unique sound that made Lilia’s eyes widen.
“That’s a strange song. Is that why it’s so popular?”
When Lilia poked her finger through the bars, the bird came close and rubbed its head against her finger. At its cute reaction, the corners of her mouth twitched. Just then, Damon, who’d been out, entered the room.
“You’re back? Was everything alright at the Imperial Palace?”
“Yes. It was pointless.”
Damon strode over and hugged Lilia. She laughed softly, hugged him back, then let go and pointed to the birdcage.
“Look, Madame Delphinne gave me a bird as a gift.”
“A rosebird. I heard it’s trendy among nobles to keep birds—so that’s probably why.”
“Isn’t it pretty? When I put my finger in, it comes and rubs its head. Want to try?”
Excited, Lilia put her finger in again. The bird came close and rubbed its head. She grabbed Damon’s hand.
“You try. It’s really gentle.”
He looked doubtful but followed Lilia and put his finger in. This time, the bird pecked his finger with its beak. Damon winced and pulled his hand out. Lilia grabbed his hand, looking startled at the unexpected reaction.
“A-are you alright? Why did it do that? Well, it’s the first time it’s seen you…”
The bird had bitten so hard that Damon’s finger was bleeding. Lilia quickly pulled the bell cord to call a maid.
“You called, Madam?”
“Could you go get Ilena? Damon’s hurt.”
“Yes, understood.”
The maid left, and soon Ilena arrived. She examined Damon’s wound carefully, disinfected it, and put on a small bandage. After Ilena left, Lilia looked at his finger with concern.
“Are you alright? Does it hurt?”
“…It hurts a bit.”
“Really? Maybe I should’ve asked Ilena for a painkiller.”
“Actually, I think I’ll be fine if you kiss it.”
At his words, Lilia smirked, realizing he was faking. Still, deciding to play along, she kissed Damon. His lips parted as her tongue slipped in, making a wet sound as their tongues mingled. She slowly pulled back.
“How is it? Better?”
“Not quite enough.”
Damon muttered and captured her lips again. Then he lifted her onto the table. Her dress was already halfway down. Used to this by now, Lilia sighed wistfully.
“Haa… It feels like just yesterday you were embarrassed about s*x, and now you’re so used to it.”
“I pick things up quickly. Are you disappointed?”
“Oh, of course. It was like doodling on a blank canvas.”
Lilia smiled and rubbed him with her foot. His member twitched and became even more prominent. Then, suddenly, there was a knock and the maid’s voice came.
“Dinner is ready in the dining room.”
“Alright, I understand.”
Lilia answered nonchalantly, then hopped off the table and smiled brightly.
“It’s already dinner time? I’m suddenly hungry. Let’s go to the dining room.”
“What? Haa…”
Damon closed his eyes and groaned. Before he could grab her, Lilia hummed a tune and left the room. Damon could only follow her, looking defeated.
Walking slowly to the dining room, he found Lilia already waiting for him. The table was already full of food. The delicious aroma of perfectly grilled steak filled the air.
“Hurry and eat.”
“…Alright.”
Lilia disliked being watched while eating, so the maids waited outside. Only she and Damon were in the dining room. Lilia dipped some bread in condensed milk. But the milk dripped and landed on her chest.
“Ah, it got on me after all.”
Lilia murmured and reached for a napkin to wipe it. But something was even quicker. Suddenly, Damon leaned over and licked the condensed milk off her chest.
“D-D-Damon?”
Lilia looked flustered. But he didn’t stop, moving his lips to lick all over her chest.
“Damon!”
She squealed softly, dropped her bread, and lifted his face. Her mouth parted slightly. His eyes looked dazed.
“Sweet.”
“It’s condensed milk, so of course it’s sweet! Ah, wait…!”
He suddenly stood up, picked her up, and lifted her in his arms. Surprised, Lilia’s eyes widened. Maybe she’d teased him too much earlier. Before she could tell him to calm down, she was laid out on the table.
The table was wide, so only their food was in front of them; the other side was empty. Damon grinned and said,
“If we’re going to eat, shouldn’t we put it on the table?”
Then he pulled down her dress and took her br*ast into his mouth. With the condensed milk still there, a sweet scent lingered.
“Ah, hnn, haa… But this is the dining room…”
“We’re still eating, so what’s the difference?”
“Haa… I’ve raised a beast…”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Feeling slightly annoyed, Lilia glared at him. Damon spent a long time sucking and biting her br*ast, then reached for the plate of condensed milk and poured it onto her body. The sensation of the milk trickling down made her already sensitive body tremble.
Her chest was covered in condensed milk, and Damon stared at it with hazy eyes. It looked as if it had been stained by white s*men, making his member twitch. He lowered his head and began to lick the condensed milk.
Lilia always had a sweet scent, but now that the aroma of condensed milk was added, his mind felt dizzy. Still, Damon didn’t stop moving. He meticulously licked up all the condensed milk that had flowed over her body before finally raising his head.
Lilia’s face had turned bright red. Damon found her irresistibly lovely and kissed her. By then, dinner was the last thing on their minds. All they wanted was each other.
He lifted her dress and pulled down his pants just slightly, taking out his member and rubbing it against her entrance. A wet, sticky sound echoed as he slowly pushed inside.
“Ah, hngh…”
She caught her breath and bit her lips tightly. Her pale, slender legs wrapped around Damon’s waist. He buried his face in Lilia’s neck and started to move his hips. The slow movements quickly grew faster.
“Hngh, ah, too fast, haa…”
“Haa… Lilia, you’re squeezing me so tight.”
“Ah, but, hngh, ah, ah…”
Her waist arched like a bow. At the same time, Lilia’s inner walls tightened around him. But Damon did not finish yet. Saliva he couldn’t swallow dripped from his parted lips. Damon, not finding it dirty, licked her lips and kissed her again, continuing to move his hips.
Her body, sensitive from just having cl*maxed, became even hotter, and soon, as she reached her second peak, Damon also released deep inside her. Smiling languidly, she asked,
“Damon, how was it? Was it delicious?”
“The best feast.”
He grinned and kissed her again.
