Chapter 2
Just as Luarina was feeling a sense of camaraderie with them—
“Hey, did you succeed?”
“Of course.”
The conversation between the two reached Luarina. They hadn’t noticed her presence yet.
What did they succeed at?
Luarina pricked up her ears, full of curiosity.
“So, did she like it?”
“What do you think? I moved so fast, just so my Honey wouldn’t have a hard time.”
He laughed, saying her hole must be sore, and that she must have been surprised at how quickly he moved.
“You must’ve made her finish quickly. She probably saw heaven, haha.”
“Of course, if I’d lasted any longer, she would’ve been in pain. It’s better for her if I finish quickly.”
Luarina’s mouth dropped open.
So it was dirty talk.
Luarina didn’t have much experience, so she wasn’t an expert, but she could tell what they meant.
But—
Fast, moving quickly? What did that mean?
Did everything being fast make it good?
Questions started popping up in Luarina’s head.
Just then, the coachman spotted her and called out.
“Lady Luarina, aren’t you getting in? This is the last carriage.”
“Oh, yes, I’m coming!”
The word ‘last carriage’ snapped Luarina back to reality.
She needed to hurry home and rest!
As she got into the carriage, her day finally ended.
But the curiosity sparked by the conversation she’d overheard lingered in her mind.
***
A few days passed.
Of course, she was working late again today.
Late at night, after riding the Imperial Palace’s carriage home, Luarina finally sank into her bed, ready for rest.
But annoyingly, someone knocked at her door.
Knock knock—
“Ugh, who is it?”
Luarina grumbled in a voice full of annoyance at the visitor.
But despite asking, she already knew who it was.
Click—
“It’s us, who else would it be?”
It was her sisters.
Her eldest sister, Eleanor, and her second sister, Belloa.
Known as the flowers of the Delail Earldom in noble society, her sisters were always dying to nag Luarina.
“I’m tired, I’m going to bed early today! Didn’t you see I just got home?”
Luarina waved her hand, begging her sisters to leave.
“Well, who told you to work?”
“You chose to do something you didn’t have to.”
But instead of leaving, her sisters jumped onto her bed with mischievous faces.
With two more bodies on the big bed, the mattress dipped.
“I said I need to sleep.”
Luarina tried to chase her sisters out.
But the two ignored her and kept pestering her.
“Don’t be like that. We’ll tell you something interesting, just listen.”
“Yeah. We came in person so you wouldn’t feel left out if we talked without you!”
Luarina wasn’t interested. She just wanted to rest.
Still, her sisters started chatting, with Luarina stuck between them.
“Hey, Eleanor, now that Luarina’s here, hurry up and tell us.”
“Okay. You know Young Master Fern, right? He asked me out on a date, but his pants were weird.”
“Haha, you don’t mean…?”
“You guessed it. He was carrying something in his pants. Guess he’s not very confident?”
“What’s the point? He’ll be exposed anyway. Why bother?”
“It’s funny, he even stuck it out on purpose for me to see!”
Their laughter filled the room.
“Maybe he thought I’d go on a date with him because of it.”
“That’s so pathetic. I didn’t think Young Master Fern was like that.”
His usual demure act was nowhere to be seen.
Luarina made a face of disgust.
“Do you two really find this funny?”
“What, are you pretending to be innocent?”
“Of course it’s funny!”
No matter what Luarina said, her sisters kept talking.
They gossiped about who was interested in whom, whether there were any guys they liked lately, and then looked back at Luarina.
“But Luarina, you really don’t have anyone yet?”
“…What, what! So what if I don’t?”
Luarina’s face turned red at the sudden question.
Her eldest sister Eleanor sighed deeply, as if something terrible had happened in the Delail Earldom.
“Haa, our Luarina is still a v*rgin.”
‘V*rgin’ here referred to someone who had never dated, from the saying about worshipping only the goddess Sola.
The goddess Sola was a v*rgin goddess.
Just as her sisters said, Luarina had no dating experience.
During her academy days, she was too busy studying, and now she was so busy with work that she’d never even held a man’s hand—a true v*rgin.
“I—I’ll meet someone soon! I’m just busy because it’s my first year.”
Luarina snapped at her sisters, who looked at her with pity.
She could meet someone whenever she wanted!
But her sisters looked at her like she was half a child.
“Yeah, yeah. When you meet a guy, make sure to ask us first, okay, Luarina?”
“Why should I? I can handle it myself!”
“That’s not the problem. We’re worried you’ll just meet some nice guy somewhere.”
What was that supposed to mean?
Luarina didn’t understand.
What is wrong with meeting a nice guy?
Belloa reacted as if she knew this would happen.
“See? This is why we worry so much. Guys aren’t just about being nice. Looks are important, but what’s underneath is even more important. If he’s good in bed, you can overlook a lot!”
She lectured Luarina as if she was laying out some grand theory.
Eleanor sighed deeply.
“Ugh, I remember that guy Kyran I met last time. He was really terrible.”
“Why? Didn’t you say he was quick last time?”
“He only did it a few times and then asked if it felt good. Shouldn’t he give me time to feel anything? It was ridiculous. That’s why I’m so careful about who I meet now.”
“How about size? Was it small?”
“Don’t even ask. I couldn’t feel a thing. He was huge everywhere else, but not there.”
Their conversation was getting more and more explicit.
“Stop! Enough!”
Luarina shook her head, disgusted. It wasn’t just noisy, it was hard to keep listening.
The Young Masters who tried to talk to her sisters in society needed to see this!
They liked her sisters without knowing anything.
Her sisters were always among the top five most popular women in society, but what were they really like?
They acted graceful and elegant outside, so no one knew their true selves.
‘Young Masters, I’m sorry. I have scammer sisters, but I can’t tell you the truth!’
Luarina sighed, feeling guilty for being part of their deception.
“Anyway, Luarina. Are you doing your job properly?”
“We’re really worried about you.”
Luckily, the topic changed. But even that wasn’t something Luarina welcomed.
She puffed her cheeks, showing her displeasure.
“Why? I got praised at the secretarial office today!”
“You?”
“Really?”
Her sisters looked at her skeptically.
They knew nothing. Luarina was an invaluable member of the secretarial office.
Didn’t Senior Nellan say so today?
If it weren’t for her, things would have been disastrous.
She was practically the savior who rescued Senior Nellan’s marriage prospects.
“You don’t even know how precious I am as the youngest!”
Of course, she was also given an enormous amount of work, but she kept that to herself since it would only make her feel worse to say it out loud.
“Hurry up and leave, I have to go to work early tomorrow.”
Luarina pushed her sisters toward the door.
“Ugh, fine, fine.”
Her sisters finally seemed ready to leave, slowly moving toward the door.
But even then, they couldn’t resist getting in one last jab.
“You’re lasting longer than we thought.”
“Yeah. Next year, you’ll probably run to Dad, saying you can’t take it anymore and begging for allowance.”
“No, I won’t!”
Luarina pushed her sisters out of the room with all her strength.
Then she closed the door right away.
Bang—
Phew, finally quiet.
Now that she had some alone time, Luarina finally felt relieved.
‘I’ll definitely last three years.’
Her sisters made her even more determined.
Luarina was the youngest daughter of the historic Delail Earldom in the Erinharte Empire.
In fact, given her status and her family’s wealth, she had no real reason to work in the Imperial Palace secretarial office.
But unlike her sisters, she wasn’t suited for social life.
She wanted to do something she could feel proud of.
So, even during her academy days, she always kept the top rank and managed to get a job at the Imperial Palace, which was said to be so hard to enter.
She was very busy these days, but Luarina was satisfied with her life and her sense of accomplishment.
‘I’ll show them I think differently from my sisters!’
Turning, Luarina looked around her room, glancing at her bed and desk on opposite sides.
