The magicians continued their chanting regardless of whether Calix was being consumed by flames.

Soon after, a large spear of blue light poured down over the dragon’s neck.

Then, with a clicking sound like a lock closing, a purple magic circle wrapped around the dragon’s neck like a collar.

The corner of the Archmage’s mouth turned up. He seemed excited at the thought of eating a dragon heart.

The dragon behind him had an irritated expression and was clenching and unclenching his fist, but nothing happened.

The Archmage was sprawled on the floor, looking at Hyesung with a terrified face, and Hyesung was walking toward me, holding the diary as if nothing had happened.

Suddenly, with a slap sound, the Archmage’s head turned. At the same time, Calix’s arms tightened around me.
