Side Story Chapter 6
Selvia opened her eyes, blinded by the light, and stretched while fixing her disheveled hair.
“Sleep a little more.”
“I feel like I’m always oversleeping because of you.”
“That’s why I told the maids not to come in.”
“We’re sleeping too much.”
“We don’t have any schedules today anyway.”
“But I need to go on a picnic with Calred.”
“He’ll be busy playing with Adele.”
Why was his hand wrapping around her waist while telling her to sleep.
“Mmm, that tickles.”
“You’re just sensitive.”
“You’re being sly.”
Selvia’s body slightly trembled at the touch slowly caressing her back. Her heart began to beat faster at the shortened distance.
The two shared a light kiss and pressed closer, feeling each other’s warmth. As the thin slip rolled up in his hand, a cool breeze swept across her body.
“Ah……”
A burning sensation spread wherever his touch landed.
His hands caressing her smooth skin soon delved into intimate places. As Selvia held her breath and let out small gasps at his every touch, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.
“Someone might hear outside.”
“Th-the barrier……”
“I forgot about it today.”
At those words, Selvia pressed the back of her hand firmly against her mouth. Though she desperately tried to hold back her voice, she quickly crumbled under his touch that knew every inch of her body.
“Ah, Ratius……!”
A soft gasp and m*an escaped her lips.
He persistently pressed down on her raised peaks without stopping. With the hot sensation, Selvia firmly gripped his forearm.
A large shadow fell over her body that was trembling pitifully. The two bodies overlapped and locked together without any gaps.
“This way there won’t be any sounds leaking out.”
Her lips parted as he bit and sucked on her lower lip. His tongue that gently pushed into her mouth swept past her teeth.
After persistently leaving marks all over her body, he smiled with satisfaction.
Selvia, who had clung to him repeatedly, had to let out passion-filled m*ans.
Ratius came into Selvia’s view as she lay completely exhausted.
Chu chu.
He kissed her shoulder and gently lifted her up.
“You probably don’t have the strength to get up.”
As he said, Selvia had no strength at all. She entered the bathroom while being held in his arms.
He placed her in the bathtub and turned on the warm water. Then he got in and held her tight.
“You can’t……”
Selvia’s golden eyes widened. She shook her head instinctively at the foreign sensation between her legs.
“I can’t help it. This naturally happens whenever I see you.”
“No more.”
Selvia wrapped her arms around herself and pressed her back against the end of the tub. But she knew.
That no matter how much she tried to escape, she was in his arms.
* * *
Her mind was hazy. While Ratius wasn’t tired, Selvia had fallen asleep multiple times from exhaustion.
She saw Ratius’s chest before her eyes. She closed her eyes again, pretending not to be awake.
‘I should sleep a bit more.’
Even if she got up right now, she had no energy to move. So she decided to sleep more since she was already sleeping in.
Just as her mind was becoming more at ease and she was about to drift off to sleep, the door burst open.
“Mom!”
Selvia’s eyes flew open at Calred’s voice.
She pushed Ratius away and sat up. Calred jumped onto the bed and burrowed into her arms.
“Calred, what’s going on so early in the morning?”
“Something good happened!”
“I see.”
Calred lay down looking at the ceiling, settling between her and him.
“But Mom, why is your face so red? Are you hot?”
“Hm? It does seem a bit warm today.”
At Calred’s innocent question, Selvia fanned herself trying to cool her flushed face. She also made sure to tightly close her clothes in case any marks on her body were visible.
It seemed she wasn’t the only one flustered as Ratius was still pretending to sleep with his eyes closed.
Suddenly Calred showed excitement as he kicked his feet on the bed. Perhaps because of the shaking bed, he finally turned to look at Calred.
“Son. You should refrain from coming in the morning.”
“Dad! You’re awake. And it’s been long past morning since the sun rose!”
“It’s not good to talk back.”
“But it’s true! Dad seems lazy for an emperor when you look at him.”
Ratius’s brows furrowed at Calred’s words. Though there was no ill intent, he flicked Calred’s forehead out of annoyance.
“Ouch! That hurts!”
“It’s arrogant to only believe what you see, so think twice before speaking.”
At those words, Calred made a sulky face and turned his head away sharply.
“Then why did Dad and Mom oversleep?”
“Well–”
Selvia quickly covered Calred’s ears while glaring at him. She could tell what he was about to say without even seeing it.
At times like this, changing the topic was best.
“By the way, what good thing happened to our son?”
“I made another appointment with Miss Adele.”
“That’s wonderful.”
Seeing his slightly reddened cheeks, he seemed truly happy. Selvia hugged her son tightly.
Though Ratius showed his displeasure, Selvia pretended not to notice. He rested his chin on his hand and looked at Calred before flicking his forehead again.
“You didn’t capture her with your power, did you?”
“No!”
“You must never capture anyone with that power no matter what.”
“I know. That would be false feelings. Did Father capture Mother that way?”
Ratius’s eyebrow twitched. Calred stared back at him without backing down.
“No, your mother just likes handsome faces.”
“Ratius!”
Selvia frowned and raised her voice. Though she did like handsome faces, that wasn’t why she came to like him.
“Calred, I didn’t come to like your father because of his power or face. It’s because we had something in common. Our sincere hearts connected.”
“……Do you think it was fate?”
“That’s right.”
Though she was somewhat surprised where he had heard about fate, she didn’t deny it.
“You’ll have your fated person too, Calred.”
“Hmm.”
Calred seemed conflicted. Perhaps because he hoped Adele would be his fated person.
“Fate is something you can pioneer too. It wouldn’t be fun if everything was predetermined.”
“That’s true!”
Calred’s face brightened. Ratius made an indifferent expression and hugged Calred.
“Your mother needs more sleep.”
“Ugh, let me go!”
“So you should sleep too instead of disturbing.”
“I was talking fine with Mom but Dad always disturbs.”
“Who was disturbing who?”
“If you’re going to fight, both of you get out.”
Both Calred and Ratius turned their heads toward Selvia at her words.
“I’ll be quiet.”
“I’ll sleep!”
Only then did the room become peaceful. Selvia hugged Calred and kissed his cheek.
“Sleep well.”
Though it was no different from their usual daily life, she enjoyed lying together in one bed.
“I think I’ll sleep with Mom and Dad sometimes from now on.”
Calred said while pulling up the blanket. At those words, Ratius immediately opposed saying absolutely not.
Seeing that reaction, Calred turned his head sharply and snuggled into Selvia’s arms pointedly.
“I was just saying that. I’m a brave child who sleeps alone now since I’m all grown up.”
“Hah.”
Ratius let out a short sigh, dumbfounded.
“This kid is teasing his dad.”
“It’s strange for an adult to react so seriously to a child’s joke!”
“You sure know how to talk back.”
Calred retorted without backing down. Selvia got up and looked down at the two lying there.
“If you’re not going to sleep–”
As soon as Selvia opened her mouth, both of them closed their eyes simultaneously. The father and son lying straight looking at the ceiling spoke as if expecting to be kicked out.
“Mom, I’m sleeping.”
“I’m sleeping too.”
Selvia quietly looked down at them before lying back down on the bed.
“Sweet dreams, both of you.”
Though they seemed to be having happy enough dreams already, she hoped only happier things would fill their future.
The broken sunlight shone on the three people lying in bed.
Though the early morning had passed, peaceful contentment settled on the faces of those being lazy.
