After washing up and lying down, the drowsiness came back again.  

“How many hours did I sleep today……?”  

It seems like I haven’t even slept for 3 hours, including a nap.  

From the bathroom connected to the bedroom, the sound of a strong stream of water could be heard.  

The natural noise echoing in the quiet space.  

The cozy bedding mixed with Ray’s scent and the scent of fabric softener.  

“How could I not feel sleepy?”  

I thought to myself as I pulled the blanket up to my shoulders.  

‘This…… feels like a new bride who washed up first and is waiting on her wedding night.’  

In fact, it wasn’t that late yet.  

Perhaps Ray knew I hadn’t slept much today and wanted to put me to bed early.  Suddenly, the sound of water that had been constant stopped for a moment.  

As the natural noise disappeared, the bedroom was filled with silence.  

Soon Ray would open that door and come out…… I blinked slowly in anticipation.

The door opened and Ray appeared, wearing a white tunic.  

His wet hair was precariously covering his eyes.  

I rolled around in the blanket, looking at him like steamed rice.

“I thought you would have fallen asleep.”

With a strange sound, my hand holding the glass lost its strength.  

Naturally, I dropped the cup.  

Exactly on the thin negligee I was wearing.  

“Daisy! Are you okay?”

Ray gently patted my back as I struggled to speak.

The liquid-soaked negligee clung to my skin.

“Just wait a moment. I’ll wipe it off.”  

Ray hurried off somewhere with brisk steps.  

When he returned, he had a new towel in his hand. Ray soon began to wipe my top.  

“It’s completely soaked…….”

Ray immediately turned off the light as I asked.   

‘Click’ As soon as the sound echoed, the room was filled with darkness.   

“Can you turn your back for a moment? The moonlight is bright… just in case you might see.”   

“Yes. Got it.”

I quickly unbuttoned my shirt and slipped off my wet underwear, leaving it on my shoulders.

I pushed the removed underwear under the bed and put my shirt back on.

Finally, wrapping myself in the blanket Ray had given me, I said,

“All done!”

Ray, who had been showing his back, turned to face me again and said,

“Okay. Come here, I’ll lay you down.”

Wrapped in the blanket, I walked up to Ray in small steps.

Ray lightly lifted me up in front of the bed and laid me down inside it, then lay down beside me, facing me.

Soon, Ray pulled the blanket up to my chin.

“Ugh. I can’t breathe!”

Ray propped his head with one hand and looked down at me, saying,

“Liar.”

I overreacted a bit.

It seemed Ray immediately realized that.

“But I’m also wrapped in a blanket. Isn’t this too harsh?”

“You sneaked out without your parents knowing, what if you catch a cold and they worry?”

“Ugh. I can’t win with you.”

I turned away from Ray to face the ceiling.

“I’ll lower the blanket, so look at me.”

I slightly turned my head to look at Ray. Our eyes momentarily met in the air.

Although Ray’s face was shadowed by the moonlight, his delicate red eyes shone clearly.

“It’s time to lower it now.”

As promised, Ray pulled the blanket down to my waist.

Then, he pulled me tightly to him. This brought our distance so close that we were almost touching.

“Let’s sleep now.”

Ray said in a deeply tired voice,

‘He really fell asleep right away… he must be tired.’

On the other hand, after causing a major accident a while ago, my sleep completely fled, and I was wide awake.

I slightly lifted my head to look at Ray’s face, his eyes closed.

His heavy eyelashes… and the sharp bridge of his nose that seemed almost sculpted.

I admired his face for a brief moment.

A familiar scent wafted to me from somewhere.

It was the cool and clear scent I liked.

“He always smells good. Is it perfume? Or body lotion?”

I wanted to inhale more of that scent. So, I snuggled closer into his embrace and took a deep breath.

I was worried my breath might touch his skin, but I thought it would be fine since he was probably asleep.

Suddenly, the sound of his heartbeat was clearly audible from his chest where we touched.

The thumping echoed in the silence.

“Daisy.”

“Huh? You haven’t slept yet… Sorry. I thought you were asleep.”

“Stop provoking me like that.”

Ray told me in a very low and muffled voice.

Just in case, I looked up and saw his eyes were still peacefully closed.

“Ah… You’re saying I’m provoking you? Ah…”

I laughed as if it was ridiculous. Then I lay back down looking at the ceiling again.

It was already the third time we were sleeping together like this.

Nothing happened all this time, right?

I nodded to myself thinking that.

That’s when it happened.

Suddenly, my view was blocked by his broad body covering mine.

His face, directly hit by the moonlight leaking in, clearly revealed his every feature. 

“Ray…?”

His red eyes, looking down at me, were fiercely shining.

“Of course you’re provoking.”

Ray was trapping me between him. One of his broad hands fully covered my cheek.

“…Ray. What…”

“You call this talking?”

Ray moved his gaze slowly over my eyes, nose, and lips.

But his gaze was like that of a predator eyeing its prey.

Suddenly, I wanted to ask him.

It was a question I had been suppressing unconsciously and ignoring.

Facing Ray’s fierce gaze squarely, I asked him,

“You said you’d answer anything I ask, right?”

“Yeah. Anything.”

“Do you like me?”

Ray did not avoid my gaze for a second.

He faced me with a steady and deep gaze without a hint of trembling.

“Yes. I like you.”

Ray’s gaze briefly fell as though he longed for my lips, then met mine again.

My reflection was clearly visible in his red eyes.

At the same time, my gaze also lingered on Ray’s lips for a moment. They were smooth and plump, tinted with the color of rose petals.

Our gazes intensely intertwined in the air.

“If you don’t like it, push me away.”

Overwhelmed by his strong and intense gaze, I dropped my gaze and nodded.

Soon, Ray’s lips overlapped mine, engulfing them.
