Hazel liked Kyle.
Far more than that, she loved her hometown and her poor family.

The price was a rise in status, and a proposal from the businessman Kyle Strauss, who had always looked down on Hazel.
“Marry me, Hazel. It won’t be a bad deal for you.”
She did not want to take the hand telling her to follow him.

“I hate you, Kyle Strauss.”
“Looks like we found something in common. I hate ‘Strauss’ too.”
