Midnight Blue - Chapter 6
6
The next day.
Ji-an stared blankly at the screen with bleary eyes. Tap, tap. Even amidst that, her fingers, which had been moving nonstop, suddenly halted.
Crazy, crazy, crazy.
She buried her face in her palms, letting out a silent scream.
Crazy brain. Please forget it already!
‘Move your hips a bit. Your br*asts are pretty.’
‘Yes, good girl. Spread your legs more.’
‘Your p*ssy is so tight, you must feel good. Does it feel good when I thrust here?’
The snake tattoo that wriggled as if alive every time the man exerted force, the dimples that formed so prettily, and the low voice tinged with a vulgar laugh. The embarrassing memories that came to her vividly as if she had just experienced them were driving her crazy. No matter how hard she tried to forget, they kept resurfacing.
Hoo, even the breath Han Do-yoon blew into her ear came to mind, making Ji-an flinch and shiver her shoulders. Embarrassingly, her n*pples stood *rect under her blouse.
Oh, crazy.
“Ugh.”
Ji-an groaned and pounded her forehead with her fist.
What was I doing at work? Forget it, forget it.
She lifted her head and placed her hands back on the keyboard.
Just then, a teasing remark flew in.
“You seem to be in another world, Assistant Manager Lee.”
Ugh. Ji-an glanced to the side.
Strategic Planning Team Leader. Park Seok-min.
The man, exuding a woody scent, was smiling at her. But only his eyes were cold as ice. It was a cold face that didn’t match his amiable eyes.
There was a time when they had a fling, but now they were just like enemies.
Ji-an glanced over him reluctantly once and then turned her gaze back to the screen. Seok-min leaned his body sideways, resting his hand on the desk. This made the woody scent even stronger.
It’s suffocating.
“You look like you’re dying because you were called to work on the weekend.”
“Should I smile while working then?”
Even as she retorted boldly, Ji-an unconsciously shrugged her shoulders. Damn it, she had to rush out after being contacted suddenly, so she ended up wearing the same clothes from a couple of days ago. Surely, he wasn’t pointing that out.
Seok-min stared at her with an inscrutable look. His burdensome gaze made a part of her chest uncomfortable.
No wonder he doesn’t have a girlfriend.
He tilted his head slightly and whispered softly.
“You should change your perfume.”
“Pardon?”
“It doesn’t suit you.”
What a random comment.
She hadn’t even put on perfume today. She had barely managed to throw on clothes and rush out due to the sudden call to work.
As she stared blankly at him, not understanding, Seok-min straightened up and annoyingly spat out,
“Come to my place this afternoon. Got it?”
“Yes.”
What nonsense is he planning now?
Ji-an swallowed a sigh internally.
Annoying.
But what choice did she have? If he said to come, she had to go. Ji-an looked at the screen with gloomy eyes. The cursor on the screen blinked at her mockingly. It’s really unsettling.
* * *
Do-yoon stared intently at the smartphone screen. He was extremely annoyed.
How could this be?
It had been a whole week since that day. Yet there was no contact. He even doubted whether he had entered the number incorrectly. It couldn’t be that there was no contact. He was sure she liked him.
When he had urged her to call him when she woke up, she had replied with a bashful smile, saying okay.
“Ha, this is infuriating.”
Gritting his teeth, he felt like a fool for coming to the club, hoping to run into her again.
What an idiot.
“Ah, why are you just staring at your phone? Are you waiting for someone’s call?”
The girl sitting next to him casually linked her arm with his. Her outfit was so revealing that he could almost see her n*pples. However, Do-yoon kept his gaze fixed on his phone without responding.
Perhaps feeling slighted, the girl tugged on his arm as if clinging to him.
“Stop looking at your phone, okay? You haven’t been here in a while, right?”
Despite her incessant chatter, Do-yoon didn’t react, so the girl puffed her cheeks in displeasure and suddenly whispered in his ear.
“Oppa, you said it would look pretty if I got a piercing here, right? So I did. Want to see?”
He couldn’t even remember her name, and it was unlikely he had said that. Her flesh rubbed persistently against his arm. Something hard caught against her soft chest. He could guess what it was.
“Let’s get a room, okay? I’ll show you where I got them.”
Do-yoon let out a chuckle. He tilted his head slightly. The girl, catching his gaze, blushed with excitement. He tapped her shoulder with his finger.
“After meeting a goody-two-shoes, it’s kind of… what’s the word, boring.”
“What?”
“Have fun on your own, Eun-young.”
He waved his hand dismissively and stood up. As he walked away, the girl belatedly shouted at his retreating back.
“Hey, my name is Ye-seul!”
Either way, the girl’s shout was quickly buried under the loud club music.
No fun, lousy people, damn it.
Do-yoon moved, feeling the outline of the cigarette shoved in his pocket.
This is the end. No more waiting. Not looking for her anymore. Han Do-yoon, you have never acted so pathetically in his life. You were just a little turned on. You simply wanted to see her cry once more.
But why do I feel so filthy?
Timing is truly fickle. If you carry an umbrella, the rain stops, and if you wash your car, it rains the next day. Ironically, at that moment, he spotted a woman awkwardly moving her body on stage.
No, to be precise, she wasn’t moving but being groped by another guy. Ha. She didn’t even contact him, yet was rubbing her hip against some d*ck-faced guy.
Do-yoon strode towards Ji-an.
“Uh, excuse me. Could you take your hand off?”
“Why. Didn’t you rub against me asking to be touched?”
A short guy was sticking to Ji-an’s back, groping her slimily. Do-yoon roughly grabbed the man’s neck. The man immediately cursed and turned around.
“What the hell, damn it? What’s this sudden bullshit?”
“The bullshit is what you’re doing. Get lost.”
With a calm face, he pushed the man’s shoulder as if hitting it. The man, frowning, hesitated and retreated. Perhaps sizing him up, the man only glared discontentedly before disappearing into the crowd.
Without even glancing at the man, Do-yoon grabbed Ji-an’s wrist. Then he firmly grasped the hip that another man had groped.
“Is it fun? Playing with a guy with such an ugly face.”
“No, it wasn’t fun.”
“Then why didn’t you contact me and played with such a guy?”
With a sigh, he exhaled like smoke and wrapped his arms around her waist. He pushed his thick thigh between her tightly pressed legs and lifted her up. The small woman’s body was suddenly embraced in his arms.
It was infuriating. Very infuriating. Boiling. His insides were boiling with jealousy. Jealousy. It was an emotion he had rarely experienced in his life. Money and women were always abundant around him. He never lacked anything, so there was no reason to covet what belonged to others.
Jealousy, envy, regret. Lingering feelings. He had never been close to such sordid things.
Half in frustration, Do-yoon bit into her plump earlobe and slipped his hand under her skirt. Ji-an, flustered, tried to pull down her skirt. However, his hand, positioned as if it were her underwear on her hip, hindered her efforts. As if that wasn’t enough, he even kneaded the protruding flesh of her hip.
“Why aren’t you answering?”
“No, uh, wait, your hand…!”
They say you escape the fox only to meet the tiger. He was a hundred times more vicious than the guy who had been harassing her earlier. Ji-an was at a loss, looking distressed. His straight fingers crept between her thighs, teasing as if to pull down her underwear.
Oh my, this is insane.
Ji-an pushed against Do-yoon’s chest in shock. But Do-yoon, his dark eyes flashing dangerously, only bit her ear more firmly.
“Why aren’t you answering, Noona? Why didn’t you contact me? I even left my number, didn’t I? You know, not just anyone gets that.”
“Ha, haah.”
Ji-an flinched, curling her fingers as she bit her lip. Why didn’t she contact him? Because it was embarrassing. Because impulsively having a one-night stand at her age was embarrassing and shameful.
Nevertheless, she couldn’t forget him and ended up coming back to the club. Just in case she might run into him by chance. Even so, she didn’t really believe they would meet again.
If it happens, really. It feels like, fate.
Ji-an thought to herself, and then blushed with embarrassment. Han Do-yoon, watching Ji-an, blew air into her ear. Not stopping there, he pushed his moist tongue in.
Ji-an was startled and grabbed her ear.
“Wha, what did you just do? Why, there?”
Seeing her eyes rolling busily, Han Do-yoon chuckled. He scoffed and said,
“So naive, I can’t do anything.”
Tsk, clicking his tongue in dissatisfaction, Han Do-yoon pulled her through the crowd.
Held by his rough hand, Ji-an was dragged along without knowing where she was going. The club music was deafening, and the red and blue lights painted her vision in a dizzying blur.
Boom. Boom. Boom. People moved their bodies madly to the fast tempo. Blinded elbows and knees bumped against her body.
Ouch, ouch.
It felt like her soul was leaving her body.
