Mel Slopey is an orphan of common birth whose hair turned white after a childhood fever.

The mentally unstable Duke Heaven mistakes her for his daughter, Bleria, because of their similar hair color.

To prevent rumors of his father’s madness, the young duke orders Mel to pretend to be Bleria.

Thus, Mel begins living as Bleria and prepares for an engagement with Gopher, the heir of the Allnight duchy.

“Bleria.”

“…Yes.”

“You shouldn’t answer. You’re not really Bleria Heaven.”

When Gopher confronts her after discovering the truth, Mel fears for her life.

“Marry me, Bleria. I’ll make you real.”

Instead, he vows to protect her secret.

At a ball shortly before her wedding to Gopher, Mel is startled to see a woman named “Eos Liche,” who looks just like her.

Even more unsettling, Eos wears a necklace identical to the one in a portrait of the young Bleria.

‘They’re identical. Could the real one be alive? Then what happens to me?’

Mel, consumed by anxiety, becomes even more distressed as Gopher, the only person she trusts, grows increasingly distant after Eos’s appearance.

Mel had believed that marrying Gopher would make her the “real” Bleria.

Now, with disaster looming, Mel faces a choice:
Die as Bleria Heaven or escape as Mel Slopey.
