He had forgotten, but he had an appointment to meet Andrea that afternoon.
To be precise, it was an appointment for a gathering that both he and Andrea belonged to. As Priscilla, there was no reason not to go, making it hard to skip, and honestly, he was curious to see what kind of expression Andrea would have.
On one hand, he thought Andrea might not attend the gathering since what happened last night occurred, but unexpectedly, she appeared looking no different than usual.
Andrea, glimpsed among the ladies and young women entering the garden, looked so pure and demure that it was impossible to imagine yesterday’s events. She wore a lace bonnet decorated with flowers that matched the color of her dress, which reminded him of yellow citron blossoms.
Of course, she wasn’t completely her usual self.
When Andrea ran into Gillian in Priscilla’s form, who had been deliberately waiting at the crossroads, she quickly averted her gaze with a flustered expression.
“Are you not even going to acknowledge me now?”
Gillian didn’t hide his somewhat disappointed tone.
Anyone who knew the whole situation would think he had bad taste for asking so nonchalantly despite what happened yesterday, but if Priscilla pretended not to see her, Andrea would misunderstand that she was keeping her distance because of the confession.
“Th-that’s not it!”
Andrea turned around in shock, denying it. Then she mumbled awkwardly.
“It’s just… hard to face you….”
Actually, Andrea was surprisingly honest. When you think about it, confessing to Priscilla was also an attitude of being honest with her own heart despite society’s conventional wisdom and prejudices.
“I’m sorry. I was being insensitive.”
When Gillian spoke in a somewhat subdued tone, Andrea shook her head.
“No. You don’t need to worry about it, Lady. I’m just being selfish.”
“Andrea.”
Thinking it would be good to say something, Gillian called quietly.
“Momentary feelings pass, you know. And later you’ll laugh and say ‘there was a time like that once.’ By then, you’ll probably have met a good man and started a family.”
Even though he was actually a man, he couldn’t be that partner, but his wish for Andrea to meet a good man and be happy was sincere. She turned out to have some quirky aspects, but the fact that she was kind remained unchanged, and he thought she was a courageous person who was honest with her own heart.
But despite his heartfelt words, Andrea kept glancing at him, half-listening to what he was saying.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
Since he could guess why she was glancing around like her eyes might roll sideways, Gillian asked while feigning ignorance. Then Andrea asked subtly.
“Do you happen to have any male relatives around the same age?”
Gillian smiled slightly.
“There’s Jerome.”
“Anyone else…?”
“No.”
“Ah….”
At his firm answer that wouldn’t let a tooth through, Andrea made an awkward sound.
“Why do you ask?”
When Gillian asked again, pretending not to know, Andrea smiled awkwardly.
“I thought I saw someone who looked similar on the street.”
It probably wasn’t just seeing him.
“Really? I don’t think it’s such a common face.”
At his deliberate words, Andrea quickly shook her head.
“I don’t mean it’s common.”
‘But….’
Gillian glanced at Andrea.
She said she liked him, yet she did something like a one-night stand with a man she’d just met.
Come to think of it, it was annoying. Even though both Priscilla and Gillian were him, to Andrea they were different people, weren’t they?
In the end, her feelings for Priscilla must have been superficial ones that would turn toward any decent man who appeared.
Well, rather, it was fortunate because she could quickly forget Priscilla and live her own life.
Andrea stared blankly at Gillian, who was having these thoughts.
‘She’s beautiful today too.’
Priscilla sometimes had sad eyes, like she was remembering a deceased husband, and whenever that happened, she looked extremely sorrowful like a single lily.
Her heart ached.
‘What kind of person was this lady’s husband?’
When she occasionally asked about her husband, Priscilla would only say this with an utterly sorrowful face:
“I don’t want to talk about my husband.”
Seeing that face made her want to give up her very soul.
Despite having such beauty, she always wore modest dresses that came up to her neck, seemingly trying not to attract men’s attention, perhaps because she still loved her husband – this was another charming point.
She had been happy just watching with fan-like devotion, but the reason she confessed now was because of her greed to become someone special to Priscilla. Rather than necessarily wanting to become lovers, it was greed to watch this beautiful person more closely.
But suddenly, the man she met last night came to mind.
‘I’m crazy.’
She could only see it as having gone crazy for a moment. No matter how much the man resembled Priscilla, to do such… acts with someone she’d just met.
She’d rather have lost her memory to feel comfortable, but she remembered every single word she’d said to him.
Moreover, the bigger problem was that such acts had felt good. She had someone she liked separately, but perhaps because the man resembled Priscilla so much, she had embarrassingly enjoyed it. When she looked back on her words and actions, it was enough to make even her ancestors kick out of the family grave.
But she had never actually imagined doing such things with Priscilla. For Andrea, who had no experience, it was beyond the realm of imagination, and above all, what she felt for Priscilla wasn’t such lewd desire that would make her feel like she’d be punished just for thinking about it. It was closer to affection and respect between human beings.
Even when she had thought about it, it was only to the extent of holding hands, not something extremely physical like what she did with the man she met last night….
Remembering those passionate black eyes made her shiver.
“Andrea?”
She snapped to attention at Priscilla’s call.
“Ah, yes.”
“What’s wrong? You seem a bit out of it today.”
“I’m just a little hot.”
Looking at that face that resembled last night’s man, who was looking at her with puzzlement, made her feel even more guilty. It wasn’t like the man had stolen Priscilla’s face, but when she reflected on what she’d done with that face, she couldn’t meet her eyes for no reason.
Meanwhile, Gillian looked at Andrea’s body as she sat with her hands neatly folded.
Since they had been in bed together just a few hours ago, Andrea’s body would still be full of marks. Especially her br*asts and the tender inside of her thighs, which he had particularly tormented last night.
Under that modest-looking dress, she must be carrying plenty of traces where a man had bitten and sucked.
Gillian narrowed his eyes.
‘How lewd.’
If his reason had been just a little weaker last night, he wouldn’t have been able to hold back and would have gone all the way. Even he hadn’t expected it, but Andrea was sweeter than he thought and more provocative than he imagined.
Even now, his body itched wanting to continue what he hadn’t finished last night.
“Oh, why are you wearing a scarf?”
Gillian spoke while deliberately feigning ignorance.
“Ah….”
Andrea couldn’t hide her flustered expression and touched the scarf around her neck. Remembering something, her cheeks flushed slightly.
As he remembered leaving marks on her neck while pushing his member between her thighs from behind, Gillian felt hot energy hit his lower body directly. Andrea was even annoying. Why did she have to show such a cute side yesterday of all days?
Andrea quickly changed the subject.
“Oh, um, when is the next lesson?”
Of course, she wasn’t really asking because she didn’t know, but just to change the topic.
“Next week.”
Gillian answered with a smile.
He was teaching Andrea the Kirak language.
Being actually Kirakian, that is, a foreigner, Gillian spoke Selon perfectly, having learned it from childhood as the family heir, but to prepare for times when clumsy Selon might slip out, he created the setting that ‘Lady Priscilla’ had lived wandering here and there in foreign countries.
So he inevitably had to pretend to be fluent in various foreign languages – which was also true – and when Andrea said she wanted to learn Kirak, he ended up giving her lessons.
Anyway, compared to initially thinking it was simple curiosity, he had been rather pleased that Andrea was serious about learning Kirak, but was she more interested in the side benefits?
“Andrea~!”
Then Andrea’s friend Camilla came over, and upon discovering Gillian, she greeted him quite elegantly with proper etiquette.
“Hello, Lady Priscilla.”
Gillian smiled. It was such a beautiful smile that both young ladies blushed instantly.
“It’s been a while.”
Fortunately, her dress was so voluminous that even if a gorilla got excited, it wouldn’t show.
“Then I’ll go ahead so you two friends can talk.”
Then Gillian walked away without losing his elegant demeanor.
Andrea watched Priscilla’s straight back as she walked away with an especially dignified appearance today. It seemed like no force in the world could break her firmness. In some sense, that was true, but Andrea had no way of knowing.
Anyway, while watching the retreating figure, the man from last night came to mind again.
‘Was he angry that I just disappeared like that?’
She had run out in panic, but it really wasn’t proper etiquette. Setting other things aside, he hadn’t just abandoned her when she was drunk but took her to a hotel, and he had paid for the hotel too.
