Carlot Perdia was like a demon in the battle to subdue demonic beasts.

With the introduction of the transmission magic device this time, the process of extermination could be witnessed by all spectators. So today, his sister who attended would be watching him.

 He had never truly demonstrated how strong he was in front of Elodie.

Not far from him was Adenmir, another contestant in the Beast Hunt.

Elodie Perdia. His former fiancée.

Adenmir recalled the moment when he had seen Elodie disembarking from a carriage in the distance.

 Just as he was wondering why she was there, as she had never attended a beast subjugation before, the carriage of House Kreundel pulled up.

The odd glance that passed between Elodie and Leon Kreundel was unexpected.

 He had thought his former fiancée had a thing for the mercenary king she kept as an escort.

Despite claiming to have sorted out their relationship, Elodie had brought the mercenary Ian as her escort again today.

 As if sensing his confusion, he felt a medium-sized beast approach from the rear. Before his knight could react, Adenmir made the first move. 

He didn’t even need to use his powers. With a single sweep of his sword, the trajectory of Adenmir’s blade split the beast into two, causing it to collapse.

“Your Highness, whenever I see it, your skills are clean.”

“Enough with the flattery, just collect the core.”

“Yes, Your Highness!”

After shaking off the beast’s blood from his sword, Adenmir put it back into the scabbard.

He had been forced to participate when Beltran refused to do so, but Adenmir had no interest in winning the subjugation. He spent his time roughly dealing with approaching beasts, cutting them down to size.

How much time had passed? As if the demons in the area where he had been running rampant had dried up, Carlot approached Adenmir’s direction with great vigor.

 “Greetings, First Prince. Did you catch many beasts?”

 “Not much.”

Carlot glanced at Adenmir, shrugged his shoulders, and turned his head. Other people may not know, but subjugating near the first prince was a bit uncomfortable for him.

Even if he was a Perdia, messing with the prince would be quite troublesome. Carlot found Adenmir’s presence quite annoying.
