Grand Duke Leonhardt was a madman.
True to his nickname ‘the wild Grand Duke,’ he brought a courtesan into the marital bedroom on the wedding night.
What’s more, his shameless face was so proud it was reminiscent of a triumphant general returning from victory.
“Oh, my. It seems there’s already a guest in the bedroom.”
As Grand Duke Leonhardt swept back his tousled blond hair, the scent of alcohol mixed with sandalwood wafted around him.
Alicia bit the inside of her lip. She must have bitten too hard, as she tasted something metallic.
“So? If you wish to join us, Your Highness, stay. If not, kindly leave and don’t interrupt. As you can see, I’m in a bit of a hurry.”

After a disastrous wedding night, Leonhardt and Alicia, each with their own calculations and expectations, resolved to obtain a divorce from one another.
“It seems we’re the stars of tonight’s banquet. Not that I’m thrilled, but since the public wants it, there’s nothing to be done. Well, I suppose we’ll just have to do our best?”
“Is that so? Even if I’m not thrilled, if it’s part of the Grand Duchess’s duties, I must fulfill my responsibilities.”
“You certainly know how to dress up the idea of doing anything that’s assigned to you as work.”
“You said you wanted me to do my best. Then would you please keep that irreverent mouth shut?”
Alicia gently placed her hand on Leonhardt’s outstretched palm and whispered softly. Of course, as a newlywed bride, she didn’t forget to smile sweetly.
This time, it was clear that Alicia had gained the upper hand.
Although both had wanted a divorce, like clothes getting soaked in a gentle rain, they found themselves gradually drawn to each other….
