Yvonne, facing her cold husband whose demeanor was as icy as iron, drew a tense breath.
“You’ll have to come back.”
“Are you aware of what you’re saying right now?”
“Of course. Perfectly clear.”
As his large frame moved, before the tense Yvonne could even step back, her body was seized and pressed close against him. Through their touching clothes, she felt the firm muscles of his abdomen and his burning body heat, and her heart pounded rapidly.
“Ugh, let go.”
“I understand being lonely enough to look for another man. But I can’t stand the sight of you fooling around with that b*stard. At the very least, you should give birth to a child carrying my blood so the scales balance.”
