Do Not Feed Recklessly - Chapter 5. Part 1
Last night, Jia had fallen into a deep sleep, unaware that the sun was high in the sky. Suddenly startled awake by the ringing of her phone alarm, she opened her eyes wide.
“Gah…!”
The first thing she saw was the familiar blanket and the infuriating face of Ethan Taylor.
‘Wait, Ethan?’
Still dazed, Jia rubbed her eyes and confirmed that it was indeed him. Ethan smiled warmly and even waved at her, snapping her fully awake.
“Did you sleep well?”
From the way he was sitting, it was clear he had been watching her sleep for some time. Startled by how close Ethan’s face was to hers, Jia quickly pulled back, her discomfort obvious.
“You looked like you were having a good sleep, even drooling a little.” Ethan teased.
At the mention of drool, Jia instinctively touched the corner of her mouth, finding it damp, just as he had said.
Ethan smiled warmly and wiped the corner of her mouth for her. The gentle gesture made Jia scowl even more, horrified by the unexpected kindness.
“What are you doing, you crazy idiot?” she snapped.
“What do you think? Just tidying up your messy face.” he replied casually.
“You’re such a weirdo! Why were you staring at someone’s sleeping face like that?”
“Why not? We had s*x together. Can’t I look at your sleeping face?”
The word s*x slipped out of his mouth and suddenly the memory of last night came flooding back to Jia. The pieces of her memory began to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle and before she could stop herself, a scream escaped her lips.
“Aaah! Aaaah!”
‘This is insane, completely insane.’
How did she get caught up in something like this with him?
‘No, wait, maybe it was all just a dream.’
After all, it didn’t even make sense for Ethan to be in Seoul in the first place… right?
In a desperate attempt to grasp at straws, Jia pinched her cheek hard. The pain was sharp and real.
“This can’t be happening…”
Her first kiss with Ethan Taylor. Her first s*x with Ethan Taylor.
‘Is this really real?’
The sting of the pinch still lingered, but Jia refused to accept it, even slapping her cheek in disbelief.
‘No, no way.’
But what’s done is done, right? There’s no going back.
“So, how was it? Not bad, huh?” Ethan asked, smugly.
Ethan, looking smug, asked confidently, and Jia finally opened her mouth.
“Ethan.”
“What?”
“I… I…”
That’s right, since things had already gone this far, she wanted to make one thing crystal clear.
“I-I… I was the one who f*cked you!”
Jia shouted, her unexpected declaration echoing through the quiet bedroom.
Ethan blinked, staring at her with a dumbfounded expression.
“What?”
“Your d*ck went into my hole, so I f*cked you!”
It was truly a fragile sense of pride, but if Jia didn’t hold on to it, she wouldn’t be able to handle the frustration of feeling completely overpowered by Ethan.
Ethan finally understood what she meant. He let out a disbelieving laugh as if he couldn’t quite believe what he was hearing.
“What are you talking about? Don’t be ridiculous. My d*ck did the work, so I f***ed you.”
“Bullshit. I was the one in control, so I f*cked you!”
“You were so h*rny that you didn’t even talk.” Ethan teased, mimicking Jia’s moans.
Jia’s face flushed at the naked joke, but she held herself together and replied nonchalantly.
“Yes, yes. You’re better than I thought. Why don’t you act as my d*ldo while you’re here?” Jia shrugged deliberately.
But contrary to her expectation that he would get angry, Ethan’s eyes were filled with curiosity. Smirking and curling one corner of his mouth, he replied teasingly,
“Oh, really? Is that so?”
Although a little taken aback by his unexpectedly calm reaction, Jia didn’t show it. Watching her, Ethan asked again, driving the point.
“Do you regret doing it?”
“Why would I regret it?”
Her quick reply made Ethan burst out laughing. A feeling of unease crept in, but Jia kept her expression calm as if everything was fine.
But it didn’t last long. The next words out of Ethan’s mouth wiped the calm look from her face.
“How long do you think I’ll stay in Korea?”
“I don’t know, how long?”
“You know what? I’m here for a language exchange program.”
‘Language… what? Language exchange…?’
Jia felt as if she’d been struck over the head with a hammer. Stunned, she quickly responded.
“Th-that’s a lie. Don’t be ridiculous. Why would you come to Korea for a language exchange program?”
“Why not? It’s the country of the person I love.”
Ethan responded as if he had been waiting for this moment, a smug smile spreading across his face. Meanwhile, Jia’s expression twisted in utter disgust.
“You’re insane. That’s so cringy.”
“Oh, really? Then I’ll just keep doing it. I like you, Jia. I came from Sydney to Seoul because I missed you.”
“Argh, can you just shut up?”
“My heart is breaking because you’re ignoring my love confession. Boohoo.”
His tone was playful, and despite the overly sweet words, Ethan’s fake crying and exaggerated voice made it obvious he was teasing her.
Jia frantically rubbed her arms, trying to shake off the goosebumps, and shook her head in disbelief.
“Jia, accept my feelings.” Ethan pressed.
“Please, just shut up!”
The more intense Jia’s reaction became, the more Ethan’s teasing escalated. At this point, she started to wonder if he was serious. Could he really mean it?
“You—you’re joking, right?”
“Do you think I’d joke about that?”
“You are joking! Who… who acts like that with someone they love?”
“I do,” Ethan replied, his face so smug that Jia was left speechless, her mouth opening and closing without a word.
“Why? Should I start being sweet and romantic from now on?” he teased.
“Ugh…” Jia groaned in disgust.
“See? You’d hate that.” Ethan said with a smile, knowing he was right. If he had acted sweet and romantic, she would’ve avoided him immediately.
“Well, anyway, let’s get along from now on.” he added with a wink.
“…What do you mean, let’s get along?” Jia asked cautiously.
“You know, for the s*x, and for living together. Let’s get along.”
“…Living together?”
