“It’s not just about me.”
Elaine looked at her fiancé with quiet desperation, but he didn’t even turn his head.
“It’s important, Blake.”
He let out a slow sigh and frowned in annoyance.
If she didn’t say it now, she would never get another chance.
She had barely a year left.
“Please annul the engagement, Duke.”
“If this is just another attempt to get my attention, then stop. I’m tired of it.”
As if his perfect mask had cracked, Blake’s face twisted.
Elaine had struggled so much just to marry someone like him.
Suppressing the urge to run away, Elaine forced herself to speak.
“Let’s call off the engagement. I mean it. I won’t love you anymore.”

The miscommunication is crazy. Its dragged up until the latest chapter and still unresolved. To make it worse, they both have the time to fix it if they just talked, but no, they didn’t. Both MC are beyond hope, especially the FL (still not willing to communicate even after reading the MLS diary). I will drop this. Its like going in circles without getting anywhere.
