I was reborn as an extra princess of a peaceful little kingdom inside a novel.
And the man I fished out from the shoreline and raised with such care turned out to be the male lead of this world.
‘Aiden Kastua Vaillot.’
The problem was, I only realized that after our wedding night.
He was the only person capable of stopping the shadowy crown prince who sought to devour the entire continent,
and the female lead carried within her the key to halting his descent into darkness when he lost control.
So, if only to protect this world from the crown prince, the two of them absolutely had to be brought together.
Left with no choice, I tried to set the twisted story back on track before he recovered his memories…. But what was this?
The male lead, who I thought had no feelings for me, started acting strange one day.
“I like that name, Dusik.”
He actually said he was fond of the hearty little name I had given him.
“Did you think that if you told me to stop, I would simply stop?”
“I have no intention of separating, Riel.”
I suggested we part ways so he could be with the female lead, and he refused me cold.
It seems putting the original story back on track is a lost cause. Where exactly did things go wrong?

“……Riel?”
Everything about her looked like someone about to vanish from this world at any moment. Aiden murmured blankly.
“Why…. why do you always pull away from me?”
Come to think of it, she had always been this way.
She acted as though she would give him everything, yet the moment he reached out, she stepped back.
Knowing that if he tried to possess her by force she would drift away from him forever and never return, Aiden had no choice but to stand behind her, swallowing a bitter smile each time.
Not knowing what hidden reason lay behind that subtle distance was its own kind of torment.
‘You’re going to pull away from me again, just like this?’
No. That was absolutely not going to happen.
Aiden held Riel’s gaze, jaw clenched, and ground the words out.
“Riel, as long as I am alive, you cannot escape me even through death. I will make sure of it.”
