A father who looked at her with contempt, filled with hatred for her mother.
A brother who resented her after their mother’s death.
Edelweiss spent her life desperately longing for their love,
comforting herself with the hope that they would one day turn to her.
“I went through so much to make you infertile, and finally, this moment has come.”
Abandoned by her lover for being infertile,
she discovers the betrayal of the one person she trusted—her half-sister.
“You said… you’d be my family… I’m your… sister…”
Rosemary shoved Edelweiss in the chest with all her strength.
“My dear sister. Farewell. I truly enjoyed our time together.”
And just like that, Edelweiss was brutally murdered by Rosemary.

By some miracle, she is given a second life.
Returned to a past where she can change everything,
Edelweiss vows to take revenge on Rosemary.
Her first move:
The Grand Admiral of the Navy, the sole legitimate prince of the Rejenoel Empire—
Damian Rejenoel.
“Why did the lady come to me, of all people?”
“Because you’re someone my sister could never have.”
It was marriage to the man Rosemary loved.
She wanted her to feel the pain of betrayal from the one she trusted most.
She hoped everyone would abandon her once the truth she so desperately hid was revealed.
That she would fall hard after believing she had reached the top.
“Don’t be too bitter. Now it’s your turn to regret.”
Just as Rosemary once did to her—
Exactly the same.

I have some mixed feelings about this novel. Warning, there may be some *SPOILERS*!
First off, great translation, I never saw any issues with it, so thank you!
On the face of it, this novel has everything I should like (even if it’s guiltily enjoyed) and is fairly short for a change. It also flows well, on a sentence level. It doesn’t jump around like crazy, scenes connect and make sense. It starts out strong too, but the longer I sat with it, the more issues I had.
I really feel like I didn’t get to know the characters at all. The most connection was with Princess Charlotte or the Blossomweavers. Which made the emotional moments feel less impactful to me. The villains didn’t feel as scary as they should have, so the threat didn’t feel as meaningful as it should have. The relationship between FL and ML felt undercooked because of that. The deaths did hit hard though, but that brings me to my next problem.
The deaths near the end were pretty rapid fire, so it felt like there was no meaning to them. Even the two earlier ones that were emotionally impactful were soon undercut by logic. Why give them blue roses if that person was going to die so soon anyway? There also a missed opportunity of a poison storyline there.
The logic is also messy. The marriage makes no sense – why put your life on the line just to make Rosemary jealous, particularly when Edelweiss is adopted and moves to a different estate? Why wasn’t she adopted in the first timeline? Also, FL and ML are both heirs. The problem is solved, but it’s practically done by someone else. They say that they’ll have two kids and they’ll be separate heirs, but that within five years, which is tight and still doesn’t address the ML saying he doesn’t want kids. It’s just things like this were the internal logic of the world doesn’t quite click.

I started thud because I was excited but then midway it wss painful and honesg opinion it wss going well until the forced arc of ml questions fl that wsx the worst and painful he skwsys said he dint trdut ppl then y st that moment he trusted the lies and I hated y autor skipped over the tension snd regret snd apology the fl deserved it a proper sorry instead if simply letting ml come back by trying to kill her basically dhe is with him for her daughter it doedng look like love to me

Well, it’s a refreshing read. The story concentrated about her revenge to her family. And there’s a lot of death. Her story is not different from the other characters. It’s like having an illegitimate child is normal to every family here. I’m happy about the ending but it’s a bit saddening for me.
Thank you for the wonderful translation!
