“Breaking off the engagement? Now, after all this time? I’m past the age of marriage now, and we’ve been engaged for ten years!”

They spent one night together by chance.

“I was quite satisfied with last night. What did you think?”
“I thought it was fine, too.”
“Then why make things so complicated?”
“Pardon?”
