Angela raised her head to look at him at his languid words.
“If the situation ever reverses, you can look forward to it.”
Angela’s face turned deathly pale. The thought of being on the receiving end of t*rture made her blood run cold. A few fragments of memories—of being violated by him—surfaced in her mind, but Angela shook her head, dismissing them all as products of her overactive imagination.
“That will never happen.”
“Let’s hope so.”
“…I’ll come back next week. I hope you’ll have changed your mind by then.”
Angela needed to leave Ivres’s side before she wavered any further. She repeated the facts Ivres had just revealed several times under her breath. She had to meet with the senior priests immediately and report what she’d learned.
“See you again next week.”
Watching her retreating figure, Ivres spoke with a smile. Without answering, she closed the door, and he heard the sound of her descending the tower.
“I should get going too.”
The priests’ foolish belief that they could confine a high-ranking demon like himself with such crude items was almost laughable.
The bright light was merely annoying—it caused him no harm whatsoever. The chains served only to make his time with Angela more enjoyable. Restraints? Did they truly believe they could restrain a demon with something like this?
Ivres carelessly tossed the chains to the floor and snapped his fingers once. In an instant, his surroundings transformed. Seeing Ivres return to his castle in the demon realm, the head butler approached with quick steps and addressed him.
“Lord Veris.”
“Ah. I’m back.”
“Did you go to meet that priestess again today?”
The butler looked at him with a troubled expression. The great demon Veris, commander of the 26th legion of the demon realm.
Currently, the demon realm had been locked in a drawn-out war with the Holy Knights for several years. In truth, there was only one reason for this.
While the Holy Knights might be fighting with all their might, to the demon realm, humans were nothing more than flies or mosquitoes that had been bothering them throughout the ages.
No great demon took the war seriously. Humans were so weak that if they truly wanted to, they could sl*ughter them all with ease.
However, lately humans had been growing stronger in numbers. The butler felt uneasy. He knew that his master Veris had been traveling between the human world and the demon realm under a strange name—“Ivres,” of all things.
It all started after Veris, who had gone to observe the battlefield for entertainment, discovered Angela when she visited the battlefield as an errand priestess.
The butler didn’t know what about that priestess had captured Veris’s interest, but seeing the cold-natured Veris react this way was a first, even for a butler who had served him for so long.
The great demon Veris, treated like a human prisoner and confined in a castle. Once a week. Even knowing it was merely for entertainment, the butler’s pride was deeply wounded.
“Why not bring the human woman here instead…?”
The butler suggested carefully, but Veris only laughed like he’d heard something ridiculous.
“I plan to bring her eventually, but for now I want to enjoy this a bit more. The war is hardly a serious opponent. If you’re outnumbered, I’ll lend you my legion.”
“No, that wasn’t what I meant.”
“I’m tired.”
“Rest well, my lord.”
As the butler bowed and tried to pass by him, Veris stopped him.
“Butler?”
“Yes, my lord.”
“I need to confirm something.”
“Yes, what is it?”
“What does a human woman need to do to bear a demon’s child?”
The butler was slightly surprised but answered in a respectful tone without showing it.
“I believe it’s possible if the woman makes a contract with a demon.”
“I see. What about a priestess?”
“They cannot. They’re in a state of receiving God’s love. Unless they fall from grace, that is.”
A sharp clicking of the tongue echoed through the castle. Veris waved his hand dismissively at the butler, who shrank back, telling him he could go.
Just like he thought—it wasn’t much different from what he already knew. It seemed he still needed more time.
Angela was the type whose love for God burned brighter with hardship and adversity.
To completely make her his. To ensure the seed he planted in her belly every week didn’t flow out meaninglessly but took root properly so she could bear his child—he needed to corrupt her further.
The entire situation felt delightful. Veris hummed as he headed to his bedroom. He looked forward to the day, not far off, when he would bring Angela here and make her the mistress of his castle.
But more than that, he felt greater anticipation for what he would do to Angela when they met next week. Licking his lips, Veris murmured her name softly.
“Angela.”
A woman who receives God’s love.
But the demon was closer than God, and that love was sinister and knew no end.
There were two ways to corrupt her.
Either grant her complete emptiness and despair that wouldn’t be resolved no matter how much she prayed to God, or make her love the demon more than God.
Until she fell completely into darkness, Veris was more than willing to continue this delightful game.
A smile bloomed on Veris’s lips as he looked forward to a week from now.
* * *
“Haah… ah, ngh!”
Today, without fail, sweet whimpers mixed with nasal sounds flowed from the room at the top of the tower.
“P-please, Ivres…!”
“Priestess.”
Ivres called out to Angela as he pushed his finger deep inside, shoving back in the object that had peeked out slightly from the opening.
Her waist trembled at the sensation of what she’d barely pushed down expanding her passage again as it surged upward.
“You need to finish your sentences for me to understand, don’t you? If you only say ‘please,’ it’s hard for me to know what you mean.”
“P-please.”
Angela’s toes curled tightly as she opened her trembling lips. The stimulation was that intense.
“Please t-take this out… ngh…! Please take it out!”
“Like I said, Priestess, you just need to birth the egg yourself.”
He traced his finger back up, pushing the object that had slipped down and protruded from the opening back inside. He could clearly feel it parting her inner walls through the object.
“Th-then at least stop pushing it back in!”
Tears began to well up in the corners of Angela’s eyes.
When Angela climbed the tower today, she’d been troubled about what method to use to extract information about the demon army from Ivres this time.
Ivres made her a strange proposal. If she could insert and remove an object he had on her own, he would give her whatever information she wanted.
He disliked mixing bodies with someone he didn’t care for. Even knowing this, forcing him wasn’t enjoyable for Angela either. So she had no reason to refuse Ivres’s proposal.
The object Ivres presented was a simple egg-shaped form. Without questioning where Ivres, who couldn’t take a single step outside the tower, had suddenly gotten such an item, Angela readily accepted his proposal.
It wasn’t something to brag about, but she’d become quite familiar with this area from dealing with Ivres all this time.
Inserting and removing an egg-sized object that looked like it was made of glass seemed far too easy.
However, the object didn’t come out as easily as she thought. Moreover, ever since she pushed the object inside the opening, her body kept heating up and her breathing became labored.
“Did you really think you could get information from me just by inserting and removing it? I don’t recall promising I’d stay still.”
Ivres’s low laughter clung slowly to Angela’s ears.
“It must have seemed easy at first. Your thoughts are so transparent.”
Her eyes had gone blank, soaked in pleasure. After an hour of continuous stimulation that dulled her mind, she seemed unable to think properly.
Ivres licked his lips. Angela’s disheveled appearance was so stimulating he wanted to pin her down and ravage her completely right now.
Ivres was waiting for the right moment. What was inside her opening wasn’t a simple glass craft. It was something called a demon’s seed.
He’d given a considerable amount of jewels to Zepar, one of the 72 demons, and barely managed to obtain one.
Humans couldn’t withstand the corrupted air of the demon realm. If he brought Angela to the demon realm now, she would surely die immediately.
That’s why Ivres needed the demon’s seed. A human carrying it in their body could survive in the demon realm.
