Confessions Should Be Made Carefully

Leonard Klein seems like he’s going to do well on the exam again this time. Should I confess just to mess with his head?

I managed to get into the academy with sponsorship, but every time, this perfect classmate kept stealing the top spot from me.

I was annoyed by this cheerful top student who turned my insides upside down, and I was frustrated by my constant second-place position.
So, I made a confession without sincerity, intending to mess with his mental state.
That was all it was… but why is the top student blushing instead of being shocked?

Then, with a voice filled with joy, he sighed out words.

Then, as if in ecstasy, his purple eyes curved gently like a bow.

“Then, we’re dating now, right?”

This is why confessions should be made carefully.
Even if it’s a false confession to achieve the top spot, that is.
